I have several jackets of this style and never appreciated it's lightweight and warmth until I tried others. And the putty color is perfectly

I was so pleasantly surprised with this jacket recommended to me at our local LL Bean store. I wanted something that was not puffy but provided warmth for various weather conditions. It is very warn yet light in weight. Numerous areas to help with a closer fit. I chose the beautiful blue color. Great in windy and wet conditions. I have not yet tried to pack it into its large interior pocket. The inner lining near the arm cuffs is so soft! Only suggestion is to have the ability to zip from the bottom to improve use while driving. My husband purchased a similar version and loves his as well.

I love this jacket. It's light weight but very warm. I bought it for a trip in the spring. It dries quickly after a rain shower. I think it will pack easily. The one thing that has taken a little getting used to is the zipper is on the left on the women's jacket.

I've bought two of these over the last couple of years...perfect midweight with hood and waterproof, and in great colors! It's just hard to choose which color! And the length is perfect too, long enough but not full length to get in the way.

This jacket fits well, is quite warm, and is long enough to go over long cardigans or tunics. The only negative for me, and it is a small one, is I could do without the logo on the front of the coat.

I love this coat more than i expected. It is sleek and lightweight but keeps me as warm as my heavier coat. Nice to wear in the car and keeps me warm when walking outside without layers in 15 degree windchill days.

Love this coat/jacket. It's very soft, lightweight, and WARM. I'm in Chicago and the weather this year November (2024) has been between 20-40degrees. The coat is great adjusting to the temperature. I do not feel stuffed when sitting in my car or in a chair. I leave it on all day depending on what I'm doing. The vents under the arms are a very nice touch and they cool me off if I'm too hot. I purchased an XL and I have room for hoodies and windbreakers underneath. I'm a Size 14 jeans/pants, about 185lbs with a 38G/36H bust. I have a small belly. I'm curvy. I love the zippers by the bum and the drawcords for the waist. I'm very pleased with this coat and will keep it a very long time unless I lose more weight. My only issue is the fact that the L.L.Beam emblem is a press on. I feel like the price is alot to have a cheap press on.

I purchased this jacket at the last minute for our recent trip to Europe, and I'm so glad I did! It was lightweight and warm. The pockets were roomy enough to hold gloves, hat and a water bottle. I am 5'2" and 145 pounds. I bought the petite large and was able to wear layers under the jacket. I recommend!

I ordered both regular and petite. I can go either way depending on the make. Definitely the petite was a better fit for me for this coat. The sleeves were very long on me with the regular. I was surprised at how lightweight this coat was compared to how warm it was. I don't like my coats to feel cumbersome. I have ease of movement in this coat and it has plenty of room for sweaters or other layers underneath. The barn coat has four outside pockets, two up higher and two lower. I would love to see this coat incorporate something similar. I do love how deep the two outside pockets are, though. I am 5'5", hourglass figure with hips being my largest measurement, weight is 145, dress size is 8 or 10. The small would work with no layers, but it would be tighter across my butt than I would be comfortable in. The medium gives me room to wear bulkier layers. It's a great coat. I highly recommend it. I would purchase it again.

I've purchased several LLBean jackets in the past few months and returned them all because of what I fell where unacceptable design flaws -- pockets that aren't large enough for hands, hoods that are so oversized that they block all vision. This, jacket, I'm happy to say is well-designed. The pockets are ample. The hood is servicable without being bulky. The sleeves have nice internal cuffs to block the cold. The jacket has an attractive sillouhette, and somehow manages to be roomy enough to layer a fleece and packable down jacket underneath while not looking bulky.

I love this jacket. Fits true to size. The dark purple is gorgeous and the jacket is warm without being heavy. I couldn't be happier.

I've bought this jacket twice. I bought what is now a discontinued model a year ago and loved it. Since I ended up taking it back and forth between Southern California and Boston, I decided to get a second one. It's not bulky on, but it's thick enough to take up too much space in a carry-on. This new jacket seems just like the first but is supposedly waterproof vs. water resistant. I haven't tested that yet, but I do really like both jackets. They're lightweight but warm and seem to keep me warm (especially in Boston) until it's cold enough to need my LLBean coat. This new jacket has cuffs that keep the wind out of my sleeves. I do wonder how they'll do in rain, since they tend to peek out, but for now they're cozy and comfortable. I recommend this jacket completely. I'm 5'3" and between 110-110 lbs, and the small fits great.

This sleek jacket has a flattering modern look. It's lightweight yet warm with a generous length and a hood that really fits. Perfect for travel if the weather is cool/cold/rainy. It packs easily, especially if you use plastic to minimize any wrinkling.

Very well made coat with several unexpected wonderful features. Great for between sweater-parka weather. One drawback is it runs a bit small relative to the usual size clothes I order from LLBean. A definite "keeper"!

This was completely waterproof and warm and got me through cold, rainy weather conditions while traveling through Ireland and Scotland in late September and early October this year. It held up extremely well and still looks great after two weeks of constant use. You won't be disappointed with this purchase!

I bought this waterproof jacket for a trip to Ireland and it did not disappoint!! We had a few rainy days and I was completely dry! The jacket served as a nice wind breaker as well. Comfortable & functional!

I have 2 of the Primaloft Packaway Hooded Jackets that I use in cool/cold weather. They are definitely my go-to jacket. (Same for my husband!) I was looking for a waterproof version, so I was really pleased to find this one offered. I haven't tried it in wet weather yet. But, it fits just like the other jackets and is very light and flexible. The fabric is really soft and quiet. I plan to wear this through our Montana winters.

Great jacket for fall and spring. Packable, good looking and fitting, and very comfortable. Not quite heavy enough for Washington State winters, but I liked it enough to order another one in a different color!

I purchased this for a trip to Alaska this fall. I haven't used it yet, but it is very comfortable and I can easily wear a sweater or sweatshirt under it. I love the color and the fit.

I just received my jacket so can't comment on the warmth because it's hot outside but I bought it for fall and early winter weather and it got great reviews for that. I love the purple color, it's dark and neutral which I love and the lining is pinkish, so pretty. It's extremely light weight and totally comfortable for every day wear but flattering too. It fits TTS and has a bit of give to it too, also nice deep pockets that zipper.

This jacket was perfect for our late spring cruise to Alaska. It performed beautifully, whether kayaking in rain and wind, or hiking on cold but sunny days. It kept me dry and also breathes well (pit zips too!). The "packaway" feature was a real bonus for packing in a tight luggage situation. Love it! Looking forward to winter already!
