Snug fit compared to other items the same size.

A bit snug fit for a men's L. No way to stow hood, which is disappointing. Bulky when stuffed into pocket.

The jacket was surprisingly poorly made. The sleeves at the wrist were elastic. The zipper wasn't fully protected for resistance to rain. The hood didn't cover effectively. The size was smaller than similarly-sized jackets. I returned it.

Didn't like fit or design of jacket. Material looked kind of cheap.

Hood is much too large so that it covers the wearer's eyes

This runs huge. There are people in the reviews who say the opposite. I might suggest some bit of introspection and self-honesty: are you a larger-sized person? If so, it'll seem small. But I found this jacket very oversized on my runner's frame. The front pockets are open to the elements with no closures - bad design. The sleeve openings are loose and not adjustable - bad design. The hood fits weirdly small considering the huge-ness otherwise. The whole thing is just wrong.

Sized way to short even though I ordered a tall. Not even close so can't comment on anything else as I had to send it back.

I've had the pants for some time and they've performed well so when a store opened locally, I went to buy the jacket. The wind breaker aspect worked well and performed well in lite to moderate rain. Haven't tested it in heavy rain. The huge down grade comes with sizing! I had to go to mens sizing for the pants (XL) to get them over my jeans, and had to seriously size up for the jacket. I typically where a women's XL or a mens Medium. In order to wear layers under the jacket, I had to go to a mens XL with RAGlAN SLEEVES. I tried XXL in a jacket with regular sleeves and I didn't have enough shoulder room (I was wearing a long sleeve shirt and a puffy vest when I tried the jackets on). So sizing is a huge down fall for this product. Haven't had to wash them yet and haven't worn in heavy rain so I can't review that aspect.

Tighter than I thought 'Slightly Fitted' would be. Don't care for construction of the pocket(s) closures. Color/Water Repellency, Excellent, unobstructed line of sight hood placement is good.

The Tall XXL (my normal size) only fits if I stand with my hands at my sides. The body and sleeve length are fine as long as I don't move my arms - which isn't practical. The quality of the construction is first-rate.
The only flaw, and it's a fail, is that it is too tight across the shoulders and chest.I will return this coat for a refund, as there isn't a larger size

Ordered my usual size for this jacket, but when it arrived I was shocked at how tight fitting it was. It's supposed to be a jacket, not a slim fitting tee shirt.
I exchanged it for a XL and that was acceptable, but even that fit a little more snug than I expected.

Absurdly small. Bought 3xl for husband which I (woman who wears a men's xl) found snug when zipped. Arms, shoulders, and back also very snug.

Jacket would be ok but the poorly designed hood makes it useless in the wind. No adjustment or at least elastic so it blows off your head. Will be returning the jacket.

I purchased a XXXL Tall and it was more like a XL Tall. My friend who wears a XL said it fit perfect. I gave it to him since I would have to pay for shipping return. I guess quality control is gone. The material was good.

I'm sorry, but $80 is a lot of money for a windbreaker. Yes, it's waterproof, but it doesn't breath. I wore it a couple times on a brisk walk and had to change my upper layers because they were completely wet through from sweating, and it wasn't raining! And when I did wear it out in the rain, the hood is completely useless, unless you walk backwards into the wind. There is no drawcord! You need to hold the hood in place with one hand or the wind blows it off your head! Very disappointed! A $2 vinyl rain poncho woud sevre just as well!

the size is goofy. I swim in a XXL and thats why I ordered it. So i can wear something underneath. But the shoulders are too tight and the arm too skinny. Why would you sell something sized so goofy? LL Bean used to be a great company but not so any more...SAD oh and the kicker - ready for this? they charge 6.50 to return the item... watch the bot below answer this review in a condescending "...we encourage you to return items that are not satisfactory..." yeah? how about guaranteed sizes or returns are free! Low quality. Grossly undersized. If I saw this in person at a Dollar Store and it was selling for $15.00 (not everything at a dollar store is $1.00), I would not buy it. Sorely disappointed in LL Bean that they would foist such inferior goods on their customer base. I have been a customer of LL Bean since 1976. Perhaps this relationship will be ending soon.`

Why are you now making most of your outdoor jackets "slightly fitted"? Jacket was small, uncomfortable and was returned. LLBean use to be my number store to shop for a outdoor jackets, but not anymore. STOP MAKING EVERYTHING SLIGHTLY FITTED!!!!
