It fits and looks fine. The adjustable hood is a plus. It's thin. I could have used a flannel lining instead of the mesh polyester to give make it easier putting on and off and giving a bit more heft. I've used it for long walk in a sprinkle which is the only time I'd wear it and it worked perfectly.

Although a bit pricey, I really like this jacket a lot. Waterproof, plenty of zip pockets and great quality. However, being slightly fitted makes wearing a layer under it difficult. I don't understand Bean's slightly fitted outerwear trend of late. I tried on 3 different Bean rain jackets that were slightly fitted, and this one had the roomiest fit. Would have given 5 stars if it was a traditional fit.

I experienced moisture on the shoulders of the hoodie I was wearing under the rain jacket. Looking at the jacket, it's hard to see where it was leaking. It may have been condensation.

I got this rain jacket for my husband. He likes it for weekly wear when going to work in the rain but wishes it were longer for weekend hiking. It looks great and is fashionable but it is not as practical as it could be. It is too short. He wishes it were longer to really keep him dry in the rain. Honestly, this is a nice looking raincoat for someone who is dashing from the car to an office, but if you want to go for a hike in the rain this will not keep you dry and comfortable. I think of LLBean as adventure gear, but this jacket does not measure up to that standard. I gave it four stars because it looks nice and is well made, but again, will it really keep him dry on a hike, no.

Great slim fit, Great color for bike riding and walking the dog. Slight clamminess after riding in the rain.

Fits well in the torso. Just a tad on the large side for me, but I wanted it to fit well over a sweater or sweatshirt. Sleeves are just a little long for me, but the Velcro on the cuffs mitigates that just fine. I've not yet worn it in a downpour. However, in a light rain the water beaded on the surface of the coat and it kept me dry. Overall, snug enough not to droop or sag; loose enough to allow for easy movement.

I needed a new rain jacket as my old LL Bean jacket had worn out after many years. This one was on special, so I bought it. It's very comfortable and is easy to wear (it's extremely flexible and has a "give" to it). What I didn't expect was the ease with which the material would catch and tear. I was surprised at how much damage a thorn snag could do. If you can stay away from the brambles, this jacket is great.

The rain jacket is fine. I didn't look closely at the price when I bought it, and was surprised that it was the same price as the multi-layered down winter coat that I purchased at the same time. $179.00 seemed steep for a single layer windbreaker. Note that I've been a customer for many years, and always loved their products,

Enjoyed the jacket but was an instant return once I saw the "core vents". while hiking and backpacking these vents sit around the straps. Making ventilation more difficult and pit zips dump way more heat. Honestly didn't even know core vents was an actual thing until this purchase

I'm slightly above 6 feet fall and i wasn't sure whether i should order the tall version or the regular version. I ended up ordering the tall version, and even that proved to be shorter than i expected or wanted. The jacket also has a slim cut. Most people could probably wear a sweater under it, but nothing heavier than that.

I was disappointed with the quality of this Jacket. It was not to the past LL. Bean design or quality. For the price I paid, I would have expected it to be much nicer than your competitors I see in stores for much less money. Everything g use to be made I'm here in the states, I see you have now farmed out your product to be made in China or elsewhere. I almost sent it back, but I am too busy to have to bother with that. The picture I saw that inspired me to purchase this jacket represented a much higher quality product. Sorry you didn't deliver a typical L.L. Bean quality product ! Probable won't buy anything more from you !

For the price, it would've been nice to have a two-way zipper. Also would be nice to have a slight A-line. (Some of us are broader at the hip than at the shoulders. A larger size would probably be too loose overall.) Does the job though. I like the extra pockets. Oh, another nice touch would be a way to fold the hood and hold it with a snap or velcro because it's way too deep. (Whose head is THAT big?!) :-)

If this one last longer than two years, I will rejoice! I returned two LLBean raincoats that have "separated" the lining!

I felt the sizing ran a bit small, bought it to layer with a fleece for upcoming trip to Alaska, the fitted cut didn't leave any room. Sent it back.

Fits great and quality materials, but failed to actually keep me dry after about 6 months. It's fascinating to me that gore-Tex is still the only breathable waterproof membrane out there. I guess that's why they cost more.

The stay dry did not work. It was not raining and was 85 degrees with 86% humidity. I was dripping inside the jacket which was open in the front and sleeves pulled up. The moisture seemed like it could not get out. dissapointed

If I could buy the grey jacket shown in the pictures, I would, but the only choices are Black, Burnt Mahogany, Ocean Blue, and Paprika.

More of a windbreaker. It wouldn't be bad if you just need light rain protection running from your door to a car but this isn't going to keep you dry if you are out for a walk/hike in the rain. I returned mine after it soaked through the shoulders in 30 minutes of rain exposure.

I bought this for my husband and he only wore it a couple of times. We just went for an hour walk in light rain and he is soaked. I don't understand why there are not more reviews that say that it is not waterproof.

Does not stand up long in a gentle rain, easily soaked and weighted down by rain in a short amount of time, did not soak through within 20 minutes.
