It really does stop the wind but the sleeves should be lined to make it easier to put the coat on.

Very comfortable, light weight and definitely stops the wind.

The jacket is well suited for fall. I do wish it was a little more wind resistant, as stronger winds cut through. However, with some layers it can hold it's own. Quite happy with itenough that all family members have their own!

Very happy with this jacket. The material is much softer and more flexible than earlier versions of windblock fleece and holds its shape.

I'm a 6 ft tall female and have to resort to men's jackets for sleeve length. Love this one Fits great and has been perfect for tailgating in Pittsburgh with the wind blowing off the water

I am so glad Bean has reintroduced a windblocker fleece. I bought their old windblocker fleece which was great but they discontinued it. Took this new model out to a windy overlook and it performed very well. Both are mediums and this is a tad tighter than the older model.

This was purchased as a Christmas gift for our son. The jacket arrived promptly, is well made (as all of L.L. Bean products are) and is more than worth the price. It is a pleasure doing business with a company that exceeds our expectations at every juncture. We are Bean customers for life!

This jacket was a replacement for an old "polar" fleece that I have literally worn out. My new Bean fleece is more comfortable, thinner, and warmer than my old stand-by. Great as a stand alone for Fall temps and perfect as a layer in 0 degrees.

This jacket is really beautiful and elegant looking. We got it for my husband's birthday. He went down one size from his usual to get a really nice slim fit. He's been wearing it every day since we got it, it's definitely a staple for him now.

This is a warm, yet lightweight jacket. It is perfect for crisp fall days. I suspect that it will be a warming layer when the temps go down. And it looks good.

I was in the market for a new winter coat in a Tall size last year that wasn't super bulky but still warm. I used it all winter, we didn't have a super cold winter in the St Louis area but this did the job just fine and probably have me warm at even colder temps. It's not overly large for it's size but still a bit roomy so you can wear your winter garb underneath. It really is Windproof though, as felt walking through my works parking lot in the cold mornings. It has my coveted outside chest pocket and zipper hip pockets to keep gloves secure. This is a great winter coat if you don't have a winter that would make you get a parka. One downside As with most fleece outerwear, you have to hold your sleeves when you out it on. A solid winter jacket for sure.
