Men's Mountain Classic Windproof Fleece Jacket .. specific criticism for this one is the ridiculous sleeve trim at the end of the sleeve .. instead of providing an elastic sleeve end trim that is tailored to a sized opening that will sit above your hand and below the wrist bone when the jacket is on, this sleeve end has zero elastic at all and the trimmed opening is literally as wide as the upper part of the sleeve that you push your arm thru .. so there is no ability at all for a sleeve that is slightly too long to still fit above your hand below your wrist and provide some closure against cold drafts going up your arm .. this sleeve end is so wide at the wrist opening that there is no wrist retention at all and the entire sleeve end winds up down at the knuckles at the end of your fingers with no way to keep the sleeve properly in place .. LLB continues its slide into irrelevance ..

I usually wear an XL but found this to be smaller than Columbia's XL fleece. I would really have liked it if it had fit. Recommend buying one size above your usual size.

The sleeves had very loose elastic ends and there were no inside pockets.

This is a nice fleece but it is not really windproof. It is more sort of wind resistant. It is quite comfortable and roomy enough for a inner layer

Nicely made but skimpy fit. All my coats & shirts are 3XL. This 3XL LL Bean coat was too small

I really like the way it looked and needed a spring and fall jacket. It is very difficult to put on, the sleeves are a little tight and are not slippery pulling over just about any base layer.
The jacket is also a magnet to lint, dog hair and just about impossible to brush off.
I have thought about returning it. It does keep you warm on cold mornings

Stiff material and too long by 2". I buy tall long slightly fitted flannel shirts that fit well. I am 6' 2" and 185 lbs. just ordered Katahdin bonded fleece, which I hope fits.

Great looking jacket but they run extremely small. I order an XXL Tall, and it was short in both length and sleeves, and tight everywhere including biceps. Felt like a Large Regular.

The sleeves were too long and the wrist bands were way too loose to help. The body of the jacket was too tight.

It is was really small, my husband wears 2XLT - this item was not 2X nor was it sized tall. Otherwise, it seemed very nice.

This is a comfortable, great fitting fleece jacket. The wind-blocking makes its much warmer than much heavier fleece jackets.

I had high hopes for this jacket, but ended up returning. I have an average athletic build and went with a medium. While the length was fine for the body and sleeves, and the fit was okay throughout my torso, the sleeves were just too tight. I have maybe slightly bigger than average arms, and I was only wearing a long sleeve tee, but my arms felt very constricted. And it didn't help that the material was definitely not as soft as I expected. Very stiff and uncomfortable. As another review noted, it is not a jacket you would look forward to putting on in the morning.

The cuff opening was so large the wind would freeze your arm pits!
So much for wind proof.
Good thing about LL Bean is the return policy.

Rather edgy, unpleasant texture, especially in inclement weather. Uncozy--not the jacket you long to wear when you get up in the AM in a drafty bedroom.

Like everything in the "new" LL Bean, the customer isn't the priority. I wanted the old super warm 300-340gram micro fleece and Bean's doesn't give that sort of details any more. They bet on us accepting what they send. Mine went back. They can waste their money by not fully describing the article if they want. I bought it elsewhere.
Bonus points if they post this.

Wrist openings on this Mountain Classic Windproof Fleece jacket are uselessly large .. the lycra trim is supposed to be sewed on snug enough to retain the wrist opening above the hand just below the wrist bone .. unfortunately, the wrist lycra is sewn so loosely that the entire sleeve falls down the arm and the end of the sleeve reached the last knuckle just before the ends of my fingers .. a ridiculous piece of tailoring that indicates a complete lack of LLB quality control with their vendors .. I typically take a large in LLB natural fit, but this piece of slim fit nonsense was 48" chest garment dimension with only 18 1/4" cross shoulder width .. the extra large with garment with 51" chest and 19" shoulder width fit fine except for the bad wrist opening tailoring ..

As usual, I have a difficult time ordering the correct size. This item was a large and I couldn't zipper it up. I routinely take a size large.however I occasional have to upsize my order. Reasontin my opinion, this problem is due to LL Bean contracting with different countries for similar items who apparently measure differently or can't follow Bean's specifications. I have returned this item for a refund

This looked great online but when I received it the jacket had a very cheap appearance. It appears that the fleece was "shaved" to give it the grid pattern. Not attractive in my opinion.

My son ordered the jacket as a Christmas gift on 12/16. Llbean processed the order and sent a email afterwards that it is backordered and will be delivered on 1/16/2024. Today, we received another noticed that delivery date is now 2/21/2024

I was very disappointed in the size of this item. It is supposed to be a men's tall, but both the body and sleeve length were entirely too short.
