just received it. went for morning walk. 29 degrees, no wind. i wore sweatshirt under coat. .not hot but warm enough. with no wind, not sure that it blocks . time will tell. i plan on wearing a wool hootie base layer under jacket. that should do the trick. jacket is nice looking.

I was looking for a jacket for the Fall. This product fits well to the task. It is soft, warm, with a full length zipper. The hand worming pockets are nice feature but I wished they are not equipped with zippers. These zippers at the opening of the pockets are hard and cold on the hands. Over all, I would recommend this jacket for my friends.

Great fleece. Cool waffle pattern. I bought one in medium and it definitely runs SMALL.ESPECIALLY IN THE SLEEVES not much room for anything but a tshirt underneath. I Bought a second one large in a different color and it is a better fit.

The first LLBean Windbloc jacket I purchased 20 years ago was my favorite item of outerwear. This generation is not quite as warm as the original, lacks elastic cuffs, and is slightly snug (especially if layering) in the torso, but is still a very satisfying purchase. The textured surface, styling, collar, and zippers are spot on and navy color is accurately represented in pictures. Still wish I had my old jacket back, but this is an adequate replacement!

Haven't had a full season's wear yet but had to return a medium because the fit was snug across the middle. Color is very attractive and fit of the large size will allow wearing a light sweater underneath.

I originally got a medium and found that to be too big, a little baggy almost. I exchanged for a small and that fits well, arm length is still good and more trim in the body. I'm 5-10, 175, 33" waist. So I would have thought a medium would be right for me but it was too big, in my opinion. But I think this is a perfect layer for fall and spring days when it gets cold in the evening, not bulky, a little more easily packable. And not stiff like some softshells.

Is everything they claim it to be. One problem is the zipper gets stuck when fully zipped around the neck and takes a fair amount of fooling around with it to get it to un-zip.

This is the nicest piece I've purchased from LL Bean. Other pieces weren't great. This one is truly wind blocking, warm, comfortable, and well made. The fleece is starting to pill a little bit, but I feel like that is to be expected.

Great but with one negative. The sleeves are too long requiring me to have them altered.

Wanted this beautiful fleece top but it has no give in the fabric making it difficult to put on and take off let alone stretch and move my limbs. Had to return it.

I have to exchange a men's XXL for a XXXL. I looked at the measurements before I ordered and by the chart a men's XXL was supposed to be a generous fit. I wanted to layer under it but when I tried it on it was snug and I only had a t-shirt on!

5'7, 160, medium Tight in the chest and way to long Quality is going down prices going up. Inconsistent sizing across all products probably because they are made in different countries

Looks great but if you are wearing anything fuzzy underneath ,it is hard to put on. It is nice and warm and I really like it for that.

Fit just wasn't what I wanted - the large was too big, the medium just felt goofy. Had to return both

The warmest fleece I have ever owned and it's not even close. Effectively blocks the wind. Very snug and warm around the neck. If they made more different styles and colors, I would buy them all!

I have this in another color that I bought 3 years ago. Very nice jacket with good windbreak material. I wanted to buy the navy color and ordered the same size. I was very surprised at how tight it was across the chest now. So much so it fits like a wetsuit. Length of jacket and sleeves and hip the same. Why did ll bean tighten it up across the chest? Oh well at least I can still enjoy my old version that fits great.

The fit was on the slim side, so there was little room for layering underneath. Also, the sleeves were slightly short and I would have preferred a banded cuff or some other cuff closure.

Sleeves were way too long. Also, quality not as expected, the textured fabric did not make it feel more robust and did not make it look upscale.

This is the second item I've purchased from L.L. Bean and I typically love the product. However, this is the second time that the neck is too small and I do not have a large neck. Can't zip up the fleece all the way!

Great fleece jacket but not worth the price now that the warranty is no longer lifetime. I returned it because when you use the drawl strings at waist, it turns into a belly shirt. The length is too short and I am as average as God makes them.

Nice weight jacket but difficult to put in and take off. The inside of the chest is lined but not the back or sleeves. This means the unlined fleece inside the sleeves and on the back sticks like Velcro to the fabric of shirts and sweaters. Lining these would improve the jacket greatly. I like the weight and the design of the jacket but the lining issue is a negative.

This is a nice garment but even at 6'4", I find that this jacket is too long. I typically purchase the large Tall size in order to get adequate sleeve length (which is fine for this jacket) but I find the body awkwardly long, even at my height. I find this to be the case for several garments I have purchased from LL Bean over the last couple of years.

I really would give this 3.5. stars. I like the color, material, and the features. However, the cut of the garment and sizing leave a lot to be desired. I'm 6'7 350, so I got the XXXL Tall. It's tight in all the wrong places, and loose in all the wrong places. And the sleeves are shorted than they should be, by a good inch. LL Bean is hit an miss on their sizing and cuts. I have other LLBean fleeces and tops in that size that fit me just fine. It's almost as if they just used a poorly designed pattern on this one.

Large, slightly fitted, only allows for a light first layer, like a shirt. Wish you would return to standard sizing like you used to have..when a large was a large!
