Super warm jacket. It really does stop the wind. It almost feels like a soft shell jacket wrapped in a fleecey material if that makes sense. Its a bit heavier than a typical fleece but its a great jacket.

I have ordered many things from LL Bean and this is the first that is not true to size. They say slightly slimmer but it is a lot slimmer. Have to return.

Medium which I normally wear is way to big and baggy. Requested an exchange for a small and waiting to receive. Not sure if it will work. Ran into this same scenario 4 or 5 years ago when I had ordered a different fleece jacket from Bean. Small fit my body well however circumference of sleeves especially upper arms is extremely tight. Saw another review where someone said Bean seems to be putting two separate sizes into one garment. Quite frustrating.

This product performs as described in your catalogs It is well thought out, designed. And developed , but the chest pockets is too small. For instance, I have a small phone which I experienced much difficulty extracting from this chest pocket area while being on a hike. I had to come to a complete stop and use both hands to successfully utilize my phone.

This is a great jacket overall. The windproofing works great. I have two fleece jackets and use the one without windproofing for warmer weather. I bought this one as a replacement for another LL Bean windproofing fleece that was over 12 years old (the zipper had started to fail). This new jacket is as good as the old one.I bought the LARGE size so I can wear it by itself (though it's a bit loose) and with a shirt and sweater underneath i can easily wear it in below freezing temps. < br> The jacket has one BIG flaw however and that's why I gave only 4 starts instead of 5. There are no inner mesh pockets behind the side outer pockets. I've owned several fleece jackets and vests from LL Bean and they have all had these inner mesh pockets. I find them very useful to keep small or light items (masks, cell phone) that I'm afraid might fall out of the outer side pockets. I don't know why LL Bean decided to remove this very useful feature.

Everything is great! I only docked a start bc I thought for the money, it'd be a bit more breathable when doing activities like fat-tire biking in the winter where you need warmth but sweat can turn freezing once the coat is taken off too cool down. Overall a fantastic coat, however. I just maybe will turn to Smartwool or a RAB Alpha jacket for more breathability in a mid-layer.

Bought this jacket for my husband for Christmas and he loves it! I thought it would be something he could wear in the office but it is heavier than I thought. Runs a little small he is usually a medium in LL bean but I upped the size to a large and it fits great with room to layer.

Great jacket! Good weight and as advertised, wind resistant. Only frustration, and I knew what I was buying when I purchased, is that the sleeves grab any clothing that is worn under the jacket making putting on the jacket and getting it fit right on the sleeves and shoulders a struggle. Again, no knock to quality of jacket, every jacket of this style has the same issue. I look forward to wearing this classy looking jacket for many months of the year.

If you're on the fence about this jacket, don't be. It is relatively thicker than most fleece jackets and absolutely windproof. I was pleasantly surprised how well it kept out the chilly November wind. You don't think you need a windproof fleece until you're wearing a fleece that isn't. The difference is noteworthy. Moreover, the material is soft and the grid pattern (albeit strange at first) kind of grows on you. I am 6'5" and ~205lbs. I ordered a tall, large and it fits almost perfectly. My only gripe is that the arms are cut pretty narrow. I have 20" arms so it's a bit of a squeeze. If you're muscular, I recommend going a size up to accommodate. Buy this jacket already!

Nice jacket. Hard to slide your arms into with long sleves on - it would help if the sleeves were lined.

Fits smaller than most LLB jackets. Swapped from XLT to XXLT. Alittke roomy in mid section but a good looking coat. Keeping it.

Basically, I like the jacket. It is warm enough and does keep out the wind to a point. However, Bean's sizing is all over the place from one article to another. This jacket fit me everywhere except the sleeves are too long. Oh, and the material inside the sleeves "grabs" certain fabrics when you are putting it on, necessitating your holding the cuffs of your shirt.

Good fit and well made. Medium weight fleece so only warm in moderate climates when layered. Overall excellent quality.

Bought this to replace my favorite LLBean fleece that I am just wearing out. This fleece is thicker feeling, and "windproof." I'm old and chubby, my upper arms are flabby and the armholes at the shoulder are snug, but not uncomfortable. The cuff areas are not quite as tight as the older models, and the collar is cut slightly higher. All in all, a nice fleece. I live in Houston, so we wear these sparingly.

I had to get a tall size to get proper sleeve length. The sleeves are great, but the body is a bit longer than I like. However, overall, I like the garment and wear it most every day!

This fleece jacket is comfortable and it keeps me warm on gusty days or on any day below 45 degrees. It is a great fleece jacket for taking the trash out, going on short hikes and doing errands. If I'm wearing the jacket while it is a little warm outside, I'd find the jacket a bit too stuffy. I'm happy it is windproofed to keep me cozy from the late fall to early spring. It's a good alternative to wearing a winter jacket.
