Lightweight and water proof .. perfect for layering

I love my new LLBean jacket. I used it the first weekend at boy scout winter camping Klondike. With a proper layering system, I was warm and dry. I recommend this jacket!

got this jacket for my husband , its light and most important water resistant, he's wearing it now in the middle of winter with another LLBean piece under, navy blue sweatshirt, the orange color is bright, good quality jacket

I bought this jacket last summer, and have now worn it in lots of different weather. Yes, it is waterproof, despite what some reviewers may say. But it is un-lined, so in hot humid weather you may get sweaty, and when the weather is cold your skin may feel it. That is the price you pay for a super light jacket! I have been very happy with mine. I especially like that the front of the hood is just long enough to fit over the bill of a baseball cap, which is ideal for keeping the rain off your face!

This is the second rain jacket I have gotten from LL Bean and I couldn't be happier. The first I wore for about a decade before it started to show signs of wear and the reason for buying one more. In Seattle a rain jacket is an important item to have and this is a great product for Seattle weather.

Great lightweight waterproof shell. The ability to do a great job keeping me dry and layer your jacket make this a good buy. Works great.

Nice, lightweight budget rain jacket. Easily packable and keeps you dry in a heavy rain (velcro on sleeves and zipper fly cover are great helps). Provides no warmth so a sweatshirt of other undergarment helpful in cooler weather. I live in Florida so warmth is not an issue; when I travel I always pack one long sleeve underlayer for warmth depending on expected waather. I have another brand Alaska Hardware for travel to closer climes but it is not as easily packable (due to bulk) as the L.L. Bean jacket, which I prefer for routine use. This purchase replaced a Helly Hansen jacket which lost it's rainproofing over time.

This is a gift for my grandson. Was hard to find a lightweight men's raincoat. Just bumped into this one as I was in men's department looking for other gifts. Excited to give it to him. Sure he will love it as it met all of his requirements.

Ordered one size up for layering. Fits great. And still OK without sweaters. A true rain jacket. And you don't feel like you are in a plastic bag.

My husband took this jacket to the UK last summer. It is lightweight to pack for the day and perfect for short showers or heavy rain. Keeps the wind off too.

It's a fabulous jacket, keeps the wind and rain out as advertised. Bought it to wear to work, light, comfy and durable. Many super handy pockets inside and outside, all deep enough to be very useful. Great jacket and super satisfied as always with Bean.

It's actually waterproof, and isn't stiff like some others.

Good rainwear. Fits over a blazer. Looks weel made. Ecpect to get many years of wear.
