I wore this jacket on a vacation through Alaska. It kept me dry and worked well with layers. It is very light so I could roll it up and store it in my backpack. Great jacket.

Recipient of this gift indicates it fits well, stays dry, and rolls up very small for travel. He had a few challenges getting the hood to snug down, but once figured out, loved that feature. Excellent value.

Great light rain Jacket. Bought for my son. Mine is more than 20 years old and still frequently worn.

This replaced a much older jacket with the same purpose. This one is equally well made. I like that it can be folded into its own pocket. One quandary: there is no obvious place in which to store the hood. My previous version had an opening in the collar in which to store the hood, with a zipper closure.

This jacket has all the quality features we expect from LL Bean; plus it's a color that is very appealing to us. We also appreciate being able to shop at a local LL Bean "brick & mortar store in Fayetteville NY. Seeing and touching is important and your associates are just the most helpful! folks and we can also trust their helpful information explicitly.

I bought this for my husband for an upcoming overseas trip . It is light and will pack well in a backpack or carry on luggage . He has been wearing and finds it the to be the perfect jacket for this time of year. The fit will easily leave room for an under layer if the weather gets cooler in the evening.

It's a LL raincoat. It's comfortable, waterproof. I buy one about every ten years because they wear out. Everything does. Also at my age, will I ever get to the flagship store again? Unknown. Still, great customer service, good to be back home. Buy one if you need a raincoat

We were recommended to bring waterproof lightweight hooded jackets for hiking around Iceland in October and these jackets are perfect anywhere. Got the green and orange colors: Nobody will miss us on the trails!

I've waited to write a review till I had the chance to really test the jacket in the rain. Today was the day. I spent over an hour in heavy wind driven and medium rain and I'm happy to say that my shirt and the part of my cap under the hood stayed dry. I've had a number of "waterproof" jackets that simply weren't, so I'm happy that this jacket lived up to the billing. The only downside is that the side pockets aren't waterproof or even water resistant. I tested this by putting paper towels in both, and they were soaked. Since the interior pockets are part of the side pockets, anything put in them will also get wet. On the upside, the paper towel in the breast pocket stayed dry. Also, I wish that the hood rolled up into the collar like my Marmot jacket does, but after looking at six jackets of different brands I found that it is a rare feature. I can somewhat overcome this by rolling the hood and threading the tab on the back of the hood through the locker loop on the inside, but that doesn't work as well or look as nice as a hood that rolls into the collar.

This jacket was perfect for my husband. The true test for him came when he wore it out in the rain and the water beaded up on the jacket instead of going through. It is lightweight for the spring and summer. Normally my husband is a 2XLT but we did have to return it for a 3XLT so I would tell anyone ordering it to go 1 size up. Well made and a great value!

Very well made and works as designed in the medium to what some might consider lightweight jacket. Bought at the tail end of the Oregon rainy season. I bought the XXL Tall as I am 6'3"

I had an LL Bean rain jacket that was about 20 years old and the inner lining was wearing out, so it was time to replace it. I found that this Trail Model Rain Jacket was an excellent replacement - and I've had ample opportunity to use it in the past few weeks!

The best rain jacket I've ever owned. Spending extra to get tall makes all the difference in the world. I took it on my adventures in Iceland and it worked great!
