Cannot recommend this jacket enough. Perfect for fall weather. Repels water, wind resistant, and keeps you warm all while being light weight and stylish.

I ordered a mans size for the extra length, I like that it covers my hips. Great layering piece, So I can bundle up for a chilly morning, and shed layers as the day warms up. I appreciate how this blocks the wind...and the pockets are big enough for maps. Great! Seems to be rugged enough to cope with the demands I make of it.

I live on Lake Huron, and you never know what kind of weather mother nature will throw at you in the fall. Rain and wind are no problem for this versatile jacket. Love the hood, pockets and overall fit. Also love the colors. Perfect fall jacket to take on the season. Also fits well with a hoodie underneath, for perfect layers to face a cool morning while beach combing.

This jacket is AWESOME, if you know what to expect of it. Not waterproof, not really warm by itself. But great for the beach when it gets a little windy, great around town when it's ~60, and I've found it awesome for travel. The large front pocket is great for wallet, passport, and so on, since the size hides the contents and leaves them in front of you rather than vulnerable to theft in your back pants pocket. Unique 70s vibe is fun as well.

I purchased the Men's Anorak for mild temperatures with a foul weather element. It is perfect for temperatures from 45 to 70 degrees to stay dry and warm. It is very fashionable and packs extremely well for travel.

The colorway looks even better in person. I like that the jacket pulls in a variety of colors pulling from throwback retro colors. The bit of a pattern above the front pocket also adds to the look with an extra level of detail. I really like how lightweight the jacket is as I'd wear it in some light rain situations. The jacket won't add much warmth but I can see adding a light layer below it for a bit of warmth. Something I wasn't expecting were the pockets for the hands in the front similar to a hoodie front pocket. I really like this touch. Only slight complaint is the hood is rather large on me. However, this isn't a bad thing as it will do a good job of keeping rain off me and my glasses.

I've been wearing this jacket on cool, northeastern summer nights and it's been great! Definitely looking forward to the fall weather so I can wear it during the day, as well. Although I have worn it during a light rain, it is not a rain jacket so I would not use it during a heavy storm. For the most part, I don't feel wind coming through, but it is a lightweight jacket so don't expect it to warm you like a heavy winter coat. The fit is as expected - not too big, not too little. I purchased a medium and I have very broad shoulders/chest and I am not disappointed. At times, it can be a little awkward putting it on/taking off, but that's only because of my wide upper body. I would definitely not purchase a large for myself as I would be swimming in it. Very happy with this purchase!

I got my first Bean anorak in 1976 when my Dad handed me down his Tuckerman Ravine tested jacket. I bought my first new one in 1979 and had one since. A fantastic jacket and everyone loves the new color scheme. Great job LL Bean.

To be honest, I primarily purchased this because of the exceptional throwback style of the anorak. It gives me all the vintage LL Bean vibes, from the colorway to the cool kangaroo pocket stitching details. If you are looking for technical performance, I would suggest looking elsewhere for rainproof/breathability/etc., but I assume I'll get some water protection in case of light rains. From a fit standpoint, it's what I would term to be a regular fit; while I prefer a slimmer or more fitted cut, the medium in this was far too tight for my frame (wide shoulders, weight lifter figure). The large fits well around shoulders/wrists but I definitely have to cinch the waist strap a bit to not have it billow out on me and look a bit silly. Best use in my mind is as a lightweight layer on cooler summer nights or a top layer on misty spring days. Visions of spring walks at Popham Beach followed by ice cream in Brunswick dance through my head whenever I put this on!

After 30 years of using the original anorek, I bought a new edition for an upgrade in style and materials. The colors are exactly as shown on the internet. The front pocket is a huge asset for storing wallet, cell phone or other items that you don't want to lose. I wore out on a river cruise and the anorek enabled me to sit on the deck for a two hour April journey with just a polartec vest underneath. Overall, I am very satisfied though I have not tested the "water resistant " feature.

Well made and very attractive with decorative band. Men's small fit perfectly, got medium also for layering under it, Need men's size for arm length and narrower hip area. Also love the earth colors chosen. Looking forward to wearing it for 3 seasons.

It is a nice product and fits well. Seems tough and durable. I have not seen it with insulation but i hope they make it that way with the primaloft.

This clothing piece is a lightweight layer for repelling wind and for fighting a mist. I have yet to subject it to a noteworthy rain. The fit and feel are excellent, plus the front pockets, particularly the zippered one, very functional. The front zipper allows adjustment to changing temperatures, as does the hood. A heavy denim shirt might provide as much warmth but it would lack the versatility and not look as good as this pullover.

This anorak is lightweight so it's easy to pack if rain is forecasted for your hike. This sizing is as expected, a medium size fits for a medium size man. There is ample pocket storage. I'd only suggest that there be a velcro strap to adjust how far the hood drops over one's head; right now it's too deep. All considered, it's a good, serviceable product.

I received my first Mountain Classic Anorak on Christmas Day, 1995. I am still wearing it today. I have purchased several others over the years, and I like all of them. They are an absolute necessity out here on the Colorado Front Range. As long as you continue to make them, I will continue to buy them. I would like to see a GoreTex version with underarm vents, a back vent, and a removable hood available in the future.

Jacket looks very similar to something I owned in the 90s. The jacket fits great, is very stylish and does it's job very well. I'm 5'10" and a large fits perfectly, easy to throw over anything you're wearing.

Comfortable and Lightweight. I love the color scheme. Most effective use for this jacket will be as a 3 season windbreaker. If I need to improve its water resistance I plan on using a NIKWAX product as the jacket is definitely water resistant and not water proof. Most important note is they run large. On average across retail I wear a medium, however a Small worked best for me.
