I like the jacket, but the zipper gets stuck. Before too long I'm afraid it won't work at all

I ordered the XL Regular length size. However, the Regular length size is ,in fact, too long. I'm 5'10. Otherwise the jacket is well made. Due to the long fit, I cannot recommend this jacket.

The jacket fits well, is light weight, and warm. My biggest objection is that it is soooo difficult to get on and off. The sleeve fleece sticks to any cotton or synthetic fabric. If you have (or get) a shoulder injury, this will not be your go-to jacket for easy wearing. The elastic at the sleeve end is not very functional and might as well not be there. It is too big and the sleeve just slides over your hand (when it is not stuck to any under garment).

Longtime fan of L.L. Bean here. Love the look of the gray Mountain Classic Fleece Jacket on the website. The earthy logo patch on the chest and the amber zipper pulls give it a modern classic vibe. But the cut is pretty strange, with a major seam running horizontally through the mid-body, cutting your torso in half visually. Also, the jacket is quite short, barely hitting my waste. At 5'8" this is rarely a problem. I really wanted to love ot, but I ended up returning it.

I would not buy this again as the jacket was poorly made. You can see where the seams were not finished correctly. The jacket sheds terribly. It is a shame as the fit it perfect. I wonder now about all there product workmanship!!

Pretty decent fleece but the waist is way too short, it only comes down to the very top of my belt line. I ended up giving it to my wife.

Loved the fit and feel, but so disappointing to have little balls of fuzz, or pilling, under the arms after only two weeks of wear. We would like to return this.

Size and fit were excellent but this jacket shed lint like crazy. Even after two washings, anything this jacket touched (shirts, pants) both inside and out were covered in tiny green lint balls. I've never had this happen with past fleece jackets. Perhaps it's this new "recycled" polyester material. Nevertheless, I will not wear it any more and would not recommend it to others unless they don't mind being covered in fuzz.

Poor quality, thin and not plush at all. I have several LLBean fleeces bought over the past years and wanted this because of the color. Unfortunately the color was the only thing true to LL Bean tradition. The fleece felt cheap, thin and not at all plush, the seams were not double sewn as in the past and the cuffs and collar had cheap fabric which felt like it would wear. It was slightly large on me at the shoulders and waist, but close enough if I were going to keep it, to wear over something else as a second layer. But I was so disappointed I returned it the next morning.

Was very disappointed this time with the quality of the fleece used for this jacket. I have purchased many of these over the years from LLBean and this is the first time I was ever disappointed. The fleece is much thinner than usual. Obviously, the material used to make this jacket is a lower grade, lower cost to manufacture. Would never purchase again in the future. Surprised at you LLBean for going for lesser quality!! Never would of expected.

Really wanted to love this jacket. It looked fantastic and was a great fit. However after trying it on and taking it off, my t-shirt underneath was completely covered with fuzz. Upon closer look, the fibers completely come loose off of the jacket. If I wore it, I would have to lint roll everything each time after taking it off. I thought maybe if I washed it, it would solve it. After reading other reviews, I see this is a trend. What a shame.

My husband and I have worn LLB fleece for over 10 years. We were always delighted with quality. My 9 year old fleece jacket looks brand new still. In September I bought this jacket in the rust color and my husband loves it. He wears it all the time. He has Alzheimer's (age 65) and we have a hard time finding things he really likes to wear. This fleece is only months old and is pilling and looks shaggy. I would simply return it but the color is no longer available and I won't give up something he likes so much. He looks like he is wearing a cheap, old item. Very disappointed.

I bought this as a Christmas present and it's way too small. My husband has worn L. L. Bean extra large for years and the clothes always fit perfectly. When he tried this on there was a gap of six inches between the zipper sides. I'll return it and order another style,

I really like the way this jacket fits and looks. I like the draw cords at the waist. I like the feel. However, I do NOT like that the material is piling. I thought it would pass. I've worn frequently and washed it twice. The jackiet is still shedding balls of blue fleece everywhere. I don't normally write negative reviews, but I loved everything else about this jacket and I want to see this issue resolved.

I've worn LL Bean fleece jackets for at least the last 15 years. They don't make them like they used to. The fleece is different. I guess it could be considered a nicer look, but not what I was expecting. The biggest issue is the sizing of the sleeves. The jacket fits like a sweater -- tight on the arms. Maybe with a short sleeve shirt or a non-knit fabric long sleeve shirt it would work. Not worth the hassle for me.

I wish this had interior pockets like some of their other fleece jackets, and the Marine Blue was too bright for my taste. What really bothers me the most though is LL Bean now putting a very prominent logo on the outside of the jacket. I had to spend about half an hour carefully removing it from the jacket I decided to keep.

I should have noticed the size of the label on the front in the pictures, but didn't. Looks huge and tacky. Not for me.

The pile on the fleece is poor. The item is uncomfortable. It has band of stitching above the pockets and across the back that pulls across the chest and back that gives the item a fitted look and feel. I bought a XXL which is the size of all my many other L.L. Bean jackets and tops.

Very poor quality on the fleece jacket, not the same LL Bean quality it used to be. Not even close to the size I ordered, way to small. Guess thats what you get when young children and people who cant measure make your clothes.

I wish I had a photo of the strainer in the sink where my washing machine drains--it was full with fibers. My next load of clothes--which didn't include the fleece--also discharged a lot of fibers. The photo here is from a 2nd washing of the fleece. Before you buy this fleece, imagine these fibers all over all of your clothes. (Yes, my fleece was rust orange). I don't recall this happening with other brands of fleece, but I'd love to be wrong because I associate Bean with quality. At this time there are 35 other reviews that note shedding. It would be nice to see Bean reply with an explanation--e.g., we washed ours and a competitor's and the discharge was the same--rather than just thanks and how to return it.
