I hoped for fleecy coziness but this vest is thinfirst time in a long time that Ive been disappointed in an LLBean item

This vest is warmer than I expect, a pleasant surprise! And, the quality and fit are fantastic, I wish it had a chest pocket or inside pocket for a cell phone.

This is the vest you are looking for. Perfect in every way for me, proper fit, thick enough to be warm, unzipped for ventilation when it's warm out. Very useful zippered pockets.

A good garment, but the fit was just a bit off as far as I am concerned. I am thinking of trying another one of the available vests to see if that might work a bit better.

Its a well made vest. I got it in large and it fits great. I have worn it several times to work and would definitely recommend it to others.

The Bean Bootlace zipper pulls are a nice update on an old classic, but the fleece is thinner and the vest less structured than the one I bought 20 years ago in college (which I still wear). And Id prefer a subtler logo than the very prominent rectangular patch with the Mt Katahdin graphic (or, ideally, no external logo at all). I dont want to sound like a curmudgeon, but the quality seems somehow diminished when compared with my old vest. These are minor quibbles, though, and I like the fact that its still versatile enough to be worn over an OCBD at the office, or over a sweater on foggy weekend hikes.

Sheds a ton all over my shirts underneath. Other than that, nice vest.

I gave this to my husband for his birthday to add to his wardrobe of fleece vests which he wears almost every day. He says it is soft and warm, and I love that the color is not dark and wintery.

I like everything about this vest: the fit, the look, and the warmth. Exactly what I wanted. On cold Fall days on the golf course it is the perfect garment.

I've had a few of these vests and they're very good for everyday wear. The only negative is that the zippers fail! I would buy it again if the zipper is upgraded. Until then, no thanks.

Great fit style and color. I decided that I wanted charcoal gray instead of rainforest green so my wife stole the green one from me!

I bought this fleece vest when the women's didn't have colors or fits that felt comfortable to me. This was exactly right for me! Great material, well made and comfortable sizing. I'm 5'6"/135lbs and it allows room for a sweater or thicker shirt underneath without being tight.

This vest is well made, looks great and fits well. The material is a very soft fleece, and looks like it costs double the price. I haven't washed it yet, but I've learned that to maintain the exterior look of fleece, one must wash it in cold water and inside out. I think this vest is a true value, given the fit, styling, and material.

The vest would be worth the price paid if it had an inside pocket. As it is delivered, it's just another vest.

I like everything about this vest except that the material is soft, almost like microfleece, which I avoid buying on account of pollution from the fibers. But it's for my elderly husband who will not need to put it in the laundry often! He was borrowing my red vest, also an LLBean small men's regular from several years ago, which is made of a more substantial, rougher-feeling fleece. I love it... (even though it's loose; I'm a petite 5'5" female.) I could wish for an extra small, and for a two-way zipper, for better freedom and the way it helps things to hang -- and I wish they still came in red!

All of the reviews say regular (vs tall) and do not indicate if small - medium or large - the vest is a little fitted per description - tight in the waist is a possibility - it makes it look like these are "paid" reviews or from the fellows working at "Shawshank"
