I replaced a 10-year-old Bean coat with this one, and love the new coat. Fits perfectly; longer than the old coat (which is nice); and nice and warm. Highly recommend!!

I've owned 3 jackets from L.L. Bean. They've always fit true to size and they've always lasted. One of the jackets I left on a table for about 6 minutes and when I came back it was gone. One I gave to one of my sons after I'd had it for 10+ years and he is still using it as he travels the world as Navy sailor. The third is this jacket. It looks great, the pockets and zippers are well thought out and highly functional and it keeps me warm. We had ice and snow recently here in Dallas and I was so happy with this jacket. It keeps me warm and dry all the time.

I have been living in this coat for 17 days in February in Iceland. It is lightweight yet blocks the arctic blasts and is completely water repellent. A surprise was all the interior pockets for storing camera batteries and even camera lenses. It has been literally drenched in waterfall spray yet keeps you dry and continues to breathe to keep you warm. Even the hood fits nicely around the face to keep you warm. There are other premium brands that are much more expense, but I cannot imagine anything performing better than this parka. A really good value.

The Rugged Ridge parka is the perfect choice for the NW. Waterproof in the rain and warm on our colder days (+14-ish) yet okay in the +40s. Cuffs are great, pocket options outstanding. Highly recommend.

Really Liked The Lightweight Nature Of This Coat Without Giving Up On Warmth Or Giving In To The Cold; When Out In Cold-Blustery Days, You Get The Feeling The Wind And Cold Goes Around Your Body. The Cold Air Does Not Stop Or Take A Detour At Your Body. The Inner Sleeve Adds An Extra Barrier To The Cold Without Getting Bunched Up. The Addition Of The Inner Sleeve Is Not Mentioned In Item Description. The Fleece Neck Warmer While It May Seem Incidental, Really Adds To The Total Package. Expensive But Very Worthwhile.

My husband usually gets 3X, but a previous review stated that a 6ft person weighing 250 lbs, got 2X, and it fit fine. This fit perfectly.

The rugged ridge parka is just what I wanted. It is an excellent fit. It is very light and comfortable. There are plenty of pockets. Usually the hood would bother me, but not this parka, you don't even know it's there. I purchased the black & grey. Yesterday I purchased the blue one that is on backorder. Definitely buy this parka.

I am an XL Tall. It's tough to find coats- I have long (36") arms. This coat in this size is perfect- the sleeves are long enough. The coat is very light, but very warm and well designed. I am completely satisfied.

I bought the jacket for my husband, and he loves it. It's comfortable and keeps him warm. We live in California and need to drive to snow, but it gets down to freezing at night. So we do need warm clothes.

The parka fit my husband well. The varied color choices were good. I was impressed by the construction, the seaming, removable hood, the heavy weight zippers and well thought out pockets both inside and out. The length was great. Overall an excellent coat that he should be able to wear for many years. He really liked this coat. I would definitely purchase this coat again.

I replaced a similar one which I had for 10 years. Love what you did with with wind catcher in sleeves. It makes walking my dogs more enjoyable. Willi Meisinger

This is my second Rugged Ridge Parka. THE first was bought in W. Lebanon NH about 4 years ago. It was returned to the store soon thereafter. The LLB store was 15 miles from our home, so I shopped frequently. That parka just did not feel right and was not warm enough. It was a large size, and I have dropped about 17% since then - not by choice. Now living in OH, with winter arriving soon, I decided to try again. I am more sensitive to cold now. After studying the sizes and reviews I decided to get the medium. Good decision. The parka arrived in November. It fit well. Comfortable with just a L/S cotton shirt. And it still fits well wearing a Bean light weight base layer, plus L/S shirt, plus a medium weight fleece. I needed to spend time outside this evening in 18 degrees, windy. I was standing stationary +/-. I was wearing the Parka, light weight base layer, and long sleeve cotton shirt. For the half hour I was outside I was comfortable. I was wearing a (from Bean) Stormy Kromer hat. I did not use the hood. The only mildly negative comment is about operating the spring loaded cord clamps on the skirt and waist adjusters. After returning home it was time to remove all the display tags. It is a Keeper. The Rugged Ridge Parka kept the wind out, kept me warm and fit well. Thanks for listening.

I bought both the Large/Tall and the Large/Regular. I like them both. The Tall is about an inch too long in the sleeves and body. But in colder, wetter weather that's good. Generous width, can accommodate layers underneath. The jacket slides easy on and off. Very warm and light. My new favorite winter jacket.

Size is pretty accurate. Slightly large but leaves room from heavier clothes to be worn under it, if needed. Jacket is lighter than my previous winter jacket but keeps me just as warm in cold weather. Seems to be well made. I am happy with the purchase and would buy again.

I bought this jacket for my husband, and he's very happy with it. It's perfect for cold and rainy weather. And it's light weight. We live in the California Bay Area, and it's just right.

Just got this coat a short time ago. It fits loosely, and I like it that way. There is absolutely no binding or restriction of movement. It feels like you're wearing a shirt. It it light in weight, but not light on warmth. A coat this lightweight shouldn't be this warm, yet it is. The breathable, waterproof shell also makes the coat very versatile. There are numerous built-in features that show how well thought-out the design is. My wife is always cold. I gotta get her one of these, too.
