This is a great winter/skiing jack ( for the unfashionable skiers like me). It is so good a bought a second one when my first got damaged. Great inside pockets for hat and winter gloves etc.

My husband loves this coat. It is warm and keeps him dry when using the snow blower during our cold PNW winters. It looks good my handsome man.

Love this jacket. Not super bulky. Very comfortable. I understand everyone's issues with zipper being a little annoying to zip, but just pay attention to what you're doing. It's not that big of a deal.

Bought this for my husband who previously had an excellent ski jacket that needed replacing. I was concerned that I would not find a new one as warm as the old one. Thankfully, LL Bean has the jacket. It's very warm and perfect for these cold Northeast Winter. The coat is not bulky. It is slightly longer in the back which keeps the wind at bay. This is a great choice. The blue color is lovely.

Warm, comfortable and fits perfectly. So far I've only worn it in temps down to the mid-twenties with a light layer underneath but left no doubt it will be just as comfortable down into the teens and single digits.

Warmest jacket I ever owned. Too hot for mild days or to shovel though.

I bought one of these coats seven years ago and it has been warm and comfortable for around town, walking, shoveling, and snowshoeing in Michigan Winters. This year the zipper started to fail. While waiting for the new one to arrive, I wore my next favorite canvas work coat (not L. L. Bean). The new coat is as good as the first, and warmer and lighter than my backup work coat. Please keep making it just the way it is.

This has turned out to be a great jacket. It's quite warm in cold conditions, which we've already experienced this year. And it's handsome to boot. It's an excellent choice.

I really love this parka. Great quality, warm enough to withstand Wisconsin winter weather, and nice features (e.g., water proof zippers that actually open easily, nice big pockets, soft interior linings, oh and some soft cuff-like liners inside the sleeves that help prevent drafts of cold air on your arms!) Add the fact that it's wind and waterproof. Definitely a winter must-have!

So far have worn it down to about 5 degrees and it has kept me as warm as I could hope for. Really like how the hood fits. Seems to be windproof for the most part. All in all, very happy with the purchase and would recommend.

As usual the quality of the product is excellent and well worth the price. The parka looks great and fits well. I use mine as my first line cold weather jacket. It comes through.

Coat fit well and is very warm and comfortable. I was looking specifically for a winter coat in the color blue that was light weight and wind proof. Coat is well made and keeps me comfortable in below zero Wisconsin weather this week, with windchills being even deeper below zero. Zipper works well, which is another plus for me. Very happy with purchase.

Very happy with this purchase. Great jacket. Roomy enough for layering. Repels wind and is warm. Plenty of pockets. Wore it to Buffalo Bills playoff game. Tailgate and game had me outside for 8 hours in single digit temps. Never cold!

This coat is very warm and comfortable. Bought the Large and it has plenty of room for layers worn underneath (sweatshirt, etc.). It's very windy where we live and it's great for this. The hood is nice & has a hat brim feature which is good for the rain. Bought this for my boyfriend, but I wear it as well. Like the pocket variety. But my favorite thing about the coat is the length! I don't care for coats that stop at the waist & that was a major factor in selecting this particular coat. It provides ample coverage.

This coat was a great purchase so far. While I'll most likely never use it below zero, I've already gotten rather close. It blocks a great deal of wind and retains heat without being bulky or causing overheating. My only two minor notes are that sometimes the zipper seems tricky (especially with cold fingers!) and that it seems a little larger than the size would seem. The medium feels like a half-to-full size larger than it is. Although, when layering up under it, it fills out quite nicely.

Second one we purchased . Bought this jacket in blue about 5 years ago. It held up well so we wanted a change of colors and after looking at all brands and styles came back to what we love. Thanks for carrying Tall sizes!!! Happy Llbean customer for 30+ years

Excellent design, including outstanding, draft free neck and chest protection. Lightweight yet very good core warmth and adequate sleeve insulation with ease of movement. Relaxed fit provides plentiful room for head covering under hood and a warm vest or sweater if needed. Have been comfortable in parka without layer to 20 degrees wind chill and with zippered down vest to zero degrees wind chill (our coldest day so far.) Pockets fine for gloves. And very good looking as well. I highly recommend.

Rugged Ridge Parka: Color: Fatigue Green/Black This coat is quite handsome on my son and has room to spare for layering which is what I wanted for him. The coat length and sleeves are perfect as are the spacious pockets. Love the two way zipper, placket closure and adjustable waistband. Very professional looking coat! In Michigan's fridge cold temps, an additional layer is necessary. Works well with Windproof Wool Glove, I recommend the color Charcoal.
