Usually love the Bean products. My size is Large but this jacket is pretty tight at the bottom. It almost feels as if this was a Ladies item, not a Mens.I am going to purchase the same item but in an XL this time. If I send it back, so be it. But the L feels more like a M. Also, the inside pocket is too small.

Way too small for an XL size jacket, which I normally fit easily into!

The jacket was too big even for a medium. The return process was for me too much of a hassle, but I just gave it to my brother-in-law as a present. Now I have to re-order a new one

Back then this was really a great jacket. The exterior was a nylon that didn't wrinkle. Now it does. The sleeve lining back then was so silky smooth that putting the jacket on was always a real pleasure as your hands and bare arms passed over silk. Now this jacket is different and not for the better. The exterior is stiff and wrinkles. The sleeve lining has a rougher texture, not nearly as smooth as the nylon taffeta-like stuff of the past. I thought I'd be getting the same jacket. I was wrong. I don't know if the exterior is better in wet, windy weather as I haven't tried that yet, but I'm not holding my breath. Maybe it resists rain and wind or maybe not. The shape and design generally seem to be the same, but due to change in materials I think a great jacket got worse.

3/27/22 I have just come in from walking the dog wearing this jacket. Me, not the dog. It's 48 degrees, sunny with low humidity with a slight breeze here on the Cumberland Plateau in East Tennessee. I was cold. I put the dog in the house, reached into my closet and pulled out a 25-year-old LL Bean warm-up Jacket and walked the same route. I was much much warmer. If a Bean customer service rep is reading this, please tell the designers/buyers to make them like they used to be. I'll gladly pay another 25 or 30%. The fleece is not as thick and does not cover the entire body. If you've added Thinsulite to make up for the thin fleece, it's not working. When I wear this newer jacket, I need to wear fleece under it because it is simply not warm. The LL Bean fleece I wear as a base is more than 35 years old and not pilled. My two-year-old LL Bean Mountain full zip fleece pilled in just a few wearings. Please, make them like you used to.

This is my 2nd purchase of this jacket. The quality has significantly changed. It is 1 inch shorter and 2 inches less in the chest. The phone pocket is approximately 2 inches higher in the inside pocket which makes it difficult to put the phone in / out. The lining in the pockets is not the same material found in previous version of the coat so my hands aren't as warm as they were. Very disappointing that what was an excellent product has been reduced in quality.

Is not size specific.If your size is xl go up one size for good fit.

This item is listed as a TALL size, but is not. It is just long enough, but length is certainly not consistent with other TALL clothing I wear.

The color was not exactly as portrayed on the website and unfortunately, the overall warmth of the jacket is not as advertised. Good to -5 below, I don't think so!

Tight and short for a medium. Neck was stiff. We returned it

Jacket was decent quality, but the length was way to short after washing. It was even washed in cold water and dried on low. Shrunk alot !

Purchased my husband's usual size, 2XLT, in this jacket. The jacket was nice but way too small. Length was short and arms were short. Tight fitting. Afraid to exchange for a bigger size. Guess it runs small.

Ordered a Large Tall for a 6' 2" man. Sleeves were too short. Disappointing.

THe shirts and sweaters I've bought from LLBean have all been Medium, and fit well -- but this jacket must run small, as this jacket was too tight. Also, the stitching on the cuffs seemed pretty cheap/poorly done, compared to the usual quality of LL Bean stuff.

HAVE NOTICED WITH RECENT LLBEAN PURCHASES (JACKET AND THE RIVER DRIVER SWEATERS) THEY SEEM NUCH FLIMSIER THAN ONES PURCHASED A FEW YEARS AGO. THEY LACK THE SUBSTANCE AND FILL OF PREVIOUS SIMILAR MODELS.

It was returned because, although size XXL, was a bit too small, tight in the shoulders and difficult to zip up. I would definitely have taken a larger size if available.

color is green all the way. Think army fatigue green. Great jacket otherwise

A so-so substitute for a discontinued favorite. I had wanted to buy another Item #276821 warmup style jacket, which are apparently discontinued. I wear a XXL Tall size, and all previous LLBean shirts & jackets have been true to size. This model is just long enough in the sleeves, but much shorter than I would expect in the torso. It is the perfect weight and warm for what I want, so I'll overlook the Shortcomings and keep it.

The jacket is warm, but the inside pocket is too high, and the opening is rather small. I use it for my wallet, which is small, just my cards. I have trouble zipping the pockets. Perhaps they will become freer with use.

I did not like the lining ...it is difficult to put on...not the typical quality item that I get when purchasing a LL Bean item.

I'm outside quite a bit so I wanted a mid-fall to early/mid-winter jacket that I could use to walk the dogs, do yard work or work in the garage. I had a jacket years ago and it was either from LL Bean or their competitor. I remember liking it, so I decided to buy this jacket. Pros: it was quite warm and kept the wind out as well. good collar to help keep my neck warm. Pockets were deep and kept my hands warm. Cons: I ordered a Large Tall. Most everything else I buy at LL Bean or other places in a Large Tall fits perfectly. This jacket fit on the body but the sleeves were short. while the jacket was warm, the outside of the jacket felt very thin and seemed like it would tear very easy. It wasn't like the jacket I remembered. Ultimately I returned this jacket an paid a little more for another brand.

Nice jacket, but sleeves are much longer than the other jackets purchased in the past despite being the same size.

The jacket fits well and I enjoy wearing it. After washing the jacket and following the washing instructions, the outer fabric has more wrinkles than I like. I have a similar jacket from another manufacturer and it does not have any wrinkles after 15 years.

I live in Connecticut. This jacket doesn't have enough insulation insulation for three seasons. It's probably OK for March, April, October and November.

Not as warm as previous Warm-Up Jackets. This would have been my third. Returned.
