Love the lightness and the warmth of the jacket. The only criticism I have is that in cold weather (<30 degrees) the exterior shell "crinkles" with movement. Would still purchase anyway.

I like the jacket, and it fits well. However, I dislike the crunchy feel and sound of the outer shell. My old jacket of the same type had a conventional outer shell that was fairly soft and didn't make any kind of noise putting it on or taking it off. I'd still be wearing it, but since I've lost some weight it's a bit too large now.

Went with spruce color,Reviews helped me decide to stay my own medium size. it Fits well.Noisy fabric made me take off one star. One purchase in the past i did order small size for another jacket (reviews helped) that was a good decision also as returning an item from so far would be a headache. So, thanks to fellow customers for detailed Reviews.Currency conversion & duties bring my cost up so will watch out for discount promos.

Purchased yet another Warm-Up Fleece-Lined Jacket. This one seems to have a 'stiffer' feel to the outer material. Perhaps a few washings will calm it down allowing movement without so much 'fabric noise'.
Otherwise, it looks to be an old reliable.

A X-L is a little small - would like a 2X but not available. Warm and comfortable.

I have been very pleased with this style coat that I have had over the years but dislike the water proof shell. It is noisy and hard feeling. If I am going to be out I will ware a waterproof gear or use a umbrella.

Despite being very wrinkled from shipping package, the jacket is well made and everything I expected it to be.

The jacket is well made, but runs a full size small. I have purchased other LL Bean men's jackets in the past: size medium, which have fit well. All the shirts we order are medium, too. This is just a small jacket. I have exchanged it for a large.
Bought a different jacket for my nephew a couple of years ago and had to return that for a larger size as well. Seems to be a systemic problem rather than a single-garment occurrence. If the sizing were better, I would have given this 5 stars.

Use to wear Lands End jackets, but the sleeve cuffs would wear out. I'm hoping 'LL Bean will last longer, we'll see.

When I ordered the jacket the price was $99, when I received the jacket the price tag showed $89. Customer service Rep. made the $89 price good.

This is a well made, high quality jacket. I like that it is warm but not bulky, has pocket openings that fit my largish hands and the sleeves are lined with nylon so it is easy to slip on when wearing a sweater. The size runs small though. I normally wear a Men's Regular Large with other brands, but this jacket did no fit me in a large so I had to go with an XL Reg. The fabric zipper pull on the main zipper is nice, but I wish that the pocket zippers had them too. Finally, the fabric makes a rather annoying "rustling" noise when you swing your arms while walking.

Like the jacket, although I think it is pushing it to say it can work in the low temperatures noted in the product description. Also, I had to go up an extra size to get one that fit, unlike other brands I've ordered of this type recently, so beware if you're between sizes normally. Also, if not on sale it is not a particularly good value compared to other national brands.

This is a great jacket except for one complaint. The nylon outer shell is noisy, stiff and doesn't breath. My wife calls it my swish-swish jacket for the noise it makes when I walk. This jacket is warm, and because the nylon doesn't breath, I tend to perspire with any exertion.
I bought this same jacket years ago which had a softer, more breathable shell material. I wore it all the time and finally wore it out. I bought this new jacket last year and was slightly disappointed by what I considered the inferior shell material.
I like the style and the way the high collar protects my neck and chin. It's warm enough for all but the coldest weather. It provides a good range of motion for my arms and shoulders. I am 6'1" with an athletic build. I bought the XL Tall and it fits very well.
I would recommend this jacket with the above caveats about the nylon shell.

Material is nice and very water repellent. Warm for this type of jacket. Arm holes are a bit small and sleves could be an inch longer.

I've worn a warmup jacket for years. I ordered the last one in a medium, which turned out to be too small, so I returned it for a large. The zipper finally failed on that one so I ordered a replacement, also in large. It is way too big so back it goes for a medium.
Other than size inflation, these are great medium weight coats. As near as I remember, the last jacket is somewhere around 7 years old and nothing but the zipper is worn out.

Many long years ago I bought a woman's warmup jacket and loved it. It has finally worn out and, unfortunately, no longer offered for women. So I've had to "make do" with a man's which is obviously not cut for women. That said, I like the jacket except I hate the inside pocket -- too small and poorly located. A two-way zipper would also be an improvement.

Still a really great jacket. BUT this new model is NOISY. probably has to do with the water-resistant coating. Also, on the CON side - please change the inside pocket back to horizontal for convenient and easy access.
Still a warm and roomy all season jacket. I have a large and found it fine but a bit big so I ordered a medium. The original jacket finally needed replacement after nearly 25 years. Wore it all the time. Will have to send the Lg back. Would prefer a horizontal pocket on the inside.

I love the jacket. The reason I gave it a 4 is because I think it runs a little small for an XL. I usually put sweatshirts under it and with this jacket I will only be able to put a very thin sweatshirt under it.

This was exactly what I wanted. I ordered a size large because I live in hoodies. Unfortunately, the large runs small, especially tight through the armpit area. I will keep it, I think. I'll have to wear it some more to see if it loosens up. I'm still debating...Other similar jackets I have are all larges and they are roomy.

Nice jacket. Beautiful color.
Man lost 65# and is having hard time fitting clothes. 1x was too small but 2x was too large.

The jacket is of excellent quality. I had one that lasted over 20 years. I ordered a new one. It ran a bit smaller than the large I replaced. I called today and they are going to send an extra large I will try that. They said if it's too big they will take it back

The jacket quality is excellent, however the size is "tight" or small for a XL. As a consumer this seems to be a common problem today in cloths, the sizing leaves a little to be desired.

My husband's final jacket looks great and the color is very nice. This jacket is cut much smaller than the previous LLBean jackets my husband already owns. Normally he wears an LLBean large (he is a 6ft tall man and weighs 185 lbs). We read the size chart and still wound up exchanging twice. His final jacket is an XXL which is the largest regular jacket sold. Size up one or two sizes from normal. Through this process he wound up with a striking spruce color. Customer service was excellent throughout the process.
