Does make some noise. Not a thin jacket so not gonna pack up small. It is a great jacket. I'm 6'1" 230lbs, normally I wear large to Xlarge. This in XL and fits great! Warm! I love it. Hard to beat LLbean quality!

Just got this jacket in spruce and I am very pleased.It is comfortable, warm but not heavy, and very stylish. If you are tired of all the puffy jackets(and who isn't?) give this one a try. You will not be disappointed. I got it on a very good sale and I'm glad I did not procrastinate. Worth every penny!

Pleasantly surprised with this jacket. Fit is perfect in a size medium. The color spruce is lovely and the Thinsulate lining makes it extra warm. Cannot recommend this enough! A hit indeed L.L. Bean!! Thank you!!

This squall type, warm-up jacket is really well made, and has numerous commendable features. The thinsulate-lined sleeves model, which I have, makes this jacket warm in well-below freezing temperatures. I wore it recently in heavy snow and was warm as toast. The rib-knit cuffs and hem have plenty of elastic to make for a tight fit. Some have questioned the design of the breast pocket, which opens through a side-zip vent rather than the former deep inner pocket as in most sport coats. For me this works great as it keeps my wallet or phone or whatever up higher on my chest instead of holding lower down next to the stuff in my side pocket. For an everyday mid-winter all activity jacket, I highly recommend this coat in every way.

Perfect jacket for 3 seasons. Outstanding fit and craftsmanship. With a sweater I was comfortable in zero degree weather. Waterproof as well.

This is a great jacket. Fits well, breaks the wind and keeps me warm. Lightweight too. Love it!

I purchased this jacket for my husband as a Christmas present to replace his old winter jacket that he has been so reluctant in retiring for the past several years. Each time we tried to replace it with a new one he would find the excuses for the new selection of choice. Either they were too bulky, too heavy or wrong colors. This new jacket I purchased from LL Bean finally did the trick with it's Thinsulated lining making it light weight to wear yet warm enough for our Chicago winters. Needless to say Hubby is quite happy and is wearing his new jacket everyday in our sub zero weather. Thanks again LL Bean for once again hitting the mark!

I use my jacket by itself for moderately cold weather(down to 32 F) and with other layer for lower temps. I have purchased four of these jackets over the years and recommend them highly.

This is the second of these coats we've purchased for my dad. He loved the first one so much we bought him another - one for outdoor work and the other for regular wear. Warmth without the bulk at an affordable price!

It fits well, looks good, and is warm. It replaces my old jacket, an earlier version of this one, which lasted for many years until the zipper failed. I hope this one lasts as long!

This is my 2nd coat, a great investment. I wear this coat even during the winter, because it is rated for below zero. It is light, and not bulky like the typical winter coats. Would highly recommend this coat and it comes in many different colors.

We have two sons who are very, very difficult to please. Amazingly enough, both of them absolutely love this jacket! It's a great fit, comfortable, and offers just the right amount of protection from the weather changes that can happen in one day. Highly recommend this jacket!

Every 7 years or so you should probably replace your jacket. I bought this almost identical jacket some 7 or 10 years ago and it still works great, but I wanted to go up a size as I've gotten bigger and I wanted more room for layers. I love the jacket - it's great for the 50-32 degree range. I highly recommend it - its very thing for the insulation and warmth it provides.

My husband kept wearing my jacket (which was ten years old and too small for him) so I finally decided to find the same jacket and purchase it in a larger size. He loved it and even though my jacket is ten years old, they both look brand new.

I wanted to get my husband a light but warm jacket and have been pleased with everything we get from Bean. We both had these jackets many years ago but wore them out! This one is great. Wish there were a couple more inside pockets behind the outside pockets.

Bought this jacket for my husband years ago. Still looks brand new. My son started to borrow it as he had no warm jacket and it became clear that we needed to buy one for him! we did. Couldn't be happier with it. Highly recommend. Launders great, is very warm and a handsome jacket. Also, a great value for what you get.

I've had one of these coats for 5 years. Awesome all the way around. Comfortable, looks good, good pockets, great fit. Getting another in a different color. We live in NW PA where we get a lot of snow and cold weather. This is a great winter coat no matter how cold.
