I find this jacket to be perfect for the New England winters. They are very warm and when the temperatures go into the low teens a sweatshirt underneath this jacket makes me very comfortable again and is all I've ever needed. the jacket is very lightweight, has great mobility features and is perfect for getting in and out of cars. I love the zippered pockets, especially the one inside the jacket so you don't lose items when they are secured. Over the years I have bought numerous colors to go with my different outfits because I don't want to change out my jacket and get cold or drafty, as you can see I love these coats and could go on but all I have to say is thank you LL bean for an well made, sensibly priced, useful and thoughtful product !T!

I like the jacket. I got it to replace one of the same type who's zipper base had broken. The thing at the end of the zipper broke. The zipper was strong and metal, but the base at the bottom that it slid into was flimsy plastic. That is what broke. Bean was excellent about replacing the jacket, but the original was black in color and it was back ordered till May, as was the Navy, my second choice. I got kind of a Nautical Blue, which is okay but not my choice. Doesn't go with as much as the black.

Loved it. Just wish it was yellow but no matter. Warm, comfortable and keeps the wind off my back. Thank you.

I am a 63 year old woman and have many women's jackets. I remembered a white three season jacket with snow flake design interior from the early nineties. I loved that jacket and was looking to duplicate it. I did not find what I was looking for in the women's section. I decided to look in the men's section. I found this beautiful marine blue jacket in just the style I wanted for my walks and everyday wear. It is so comfortable! I love the roominess in the shoulder area. I have worn it each and every day since it arrived. It is so nice and warm and the collar is so soft against my neck. I am 100% pleased with my purchase. My only suggestion is for L.L. Bean to bring back more items that are made in the U.S.A.

This jacket is just right for all seasons. It can be worn with a T-shirt or with a lightweight sweater underneath. It's warm, water-resistant and works as a windbreaker, as well.

This is a great jacket. Easy to wear everyday. Zipper does not snag. Warm enough for the long cold winters.

After about 5 years of 3-season constant wear, I am looking to replace this jacket that I bought when I was about 30 pounds heavier. I'll buy a medium men's size because I like the roominess of the front over my female shape, when combined with under layering. I am very glad you still make it. What a workhorse. Nice price as well

Fits great, feels great, just right for most of my winter morning dog walks.

The jacket fit as expected. It is even a bit warmer and heavier that I thought it would be which is fine. I got the Cayenne color which is different than the usual dark color jackets I buy, but I like the color and would get it again. I have worn the jacket almost every day since it came except for a couple of warmer days we had.

As always, great quality. However, the large does not match, for example the large T-shirt that I bought with it. I think that you need to make sure that the contractors that make your jackets adhere to American sizes. Your older jackets were bigger. The XL was too bulky for me so I got a refund. I'll try on one next year to see if it fits better.

I bought this jacket for early Spring, late Fall but ... my newly ordered LL Bean parka got caught in a fire during shipment and has been delayed so I found out how warm this jacket can be in the Winter. In a snowstorm or extended outdoor stay the parka is the way to go but to run out for dinner or shopping, this jacket was fine. The fit is perfect, including length and I like the secure inner pocket for my smartphone! I haven't tested it, but the outer fabric feels like it would be reasonably waterproof too.

I simply LOVE everything about this jacket!! It looks great, it's very comfortable and warm, the exterior is water repellant, it has knit closures at the cuffs and waist to keep out cold air, and perhaps my favorite thing - the collar is large and when it's turned up, it protects the entire neck in the front and back!! When I take my dog out wearing this jacket, I stay warm even in 20+ degree weather. If I wouldn't soon be living in a place where it can get to zero or below in the winter, I would not even need a down coat. This jacket is perfect all the way up to 50+ degrees and still fine for much colder temps. Has two slash outer pockets (w/zippers) and one inner zipped pocket that holds my iPhone 8+. I like it so much that I have TWO of these jackets in different colors. Quite possibly my favorite jacket of all time!! I am very serious! Size note: I'm a bit overweight at 245 and 5'10", and I like a jacket to be a little roomy. This is a great fit in the XXL size.

I asked my son if he'd like this jacket in size Large blue for his birthday. He'd been wearing a similar gray one for years. He said "yes", but he'd like cayenne in size XL. He's very slim, but he must want to layer under the jacket, so he chose the larger size. He chose a brighter color so he's more visible while cross-country skiing or riding his bike during a thaw. He sent me a picture of him wearing it, and it looks great.

I have 3 of these all different colors, and all years apart, always the same quality. I where them from fall to spring and they don't disappoint, they seem to last forever, there just a great jackets.

This is my third warm-up jacket over 25 years. Interestingly, they all still work fine. This is an extremely versatile jacket that can be worn from spring/fall into winter. Below about 25 F it stops being warm enough. I'd recommend this jacket; it's one of my favorites!

I love it. Fits great and is just what I wanted. Warm for the cold days.

I purchased this jacket for a trip north to Ohio from our home in the south. The temperature dropped into the mid-teens while we were there with strong winds. Wearing this jacket with a sweater or sweatshirt underneath kept me quite comfortable even when being out for extended periods in these extreme conditions. It also kept me very dry in the snow and rain that we experienced. The jacket also looks great and fits nicely. My only complaint is that I wish it had another inside pocket in addition to the cell phone pocket next to the zipper.

The zippers are fantastic, they don't bind, the liner sleeves will be welcomed by anyone who struggles to slip off their jacket, and the warmth is just right, for me, for 35-55 degrees. (I don't get cold easy, and usually don't wear a jacket above 60) Layering would easily take me down another 15 degrees, but I'd want a size up if I were going to put a fleece, sweatshirt or sweater underneath. The shell really blocks the wind and light rain is no problem. The interior chest pocket is handy, but I'd like to see an additional exterior chest pocket on the opposite side, but I'm a pocket guy. The bottom band and cuffs seem very well made. Great value for this price.

Liked it so well that I ordered a second one in a different color. I live in South Dakota and it is a great 3 1/2 season coat. Anytime it is above 30, I wear it and sometimes colder with an LLBean vest under. Reminds me of a bomber jacket.

I ordered a tall, I have 4 of them, two this year, the others years past. Great all around jacket.

I have purchased this Jacket in a few colors over about ten or so years as this jacket is my favorite to wear during the winter. It keeps me very warm and is durable and a great value for the money!!

I absolutely love this jacket. I just wore it for 3 consecutive days in the snowiest weather I have experienced in the lowlands of Puget Sound. I wore a t shirt and sweatshirt and this jacket out shoveling snow in windy conditions. Kept me warm and dry except the cotton t shirt got sweaty. Perfect 3 actually 4 season jacket if you layer properly. I get warm easily so I think it's a bit heavy for spring for me others may love it. It will be my go to jacket when it gets nasty outside. I wouldn't wear it as a rain jacket as it is water repellent but for cold and wind it is perfect. Buy it you will not be disappointed. Thank you LL Bean.

When my (very) old LLBean 3-season jacket started to show signs of wear, we tried replacing it with another brand that we acquired locally. Although the new jacket looked great, it didn't breath at all. As a result I was always sweating whenever I wore it. It was frustrating enough that I ordered what has been renamed a warm-up jacket from LL Bean. The LL Bean jacket breathes, allowing me to stay warm while at the same time not holding in all the body heat from any exertion. I'm so glad I went ahead and ordered a proper replacement!
