Beautiful jacket, fits well, but with three layers on including the jacket, I was cold in 40 degrees. Bean stretched the truth on this one!

The stomach area is too large, yet it is too tight around the hips . The elastic band has to be stretched a few inches in order to zip it up. As others have noted, the fabric produces an above average amount of swishing noise. I returned it.

I am female, 5'3", and 116 lbs. I ordered size small because I have an old size small that needs replacing. This jacket is made with a large bulge to accommodate a big belly. I wish LL Bean would cary more slim items. I was very disappointed, as the jacket is warm and cozy. Another serious problem is the collar. It is large and funny-looking if the zipper is down a bit. And when I put the zipper up for warmth, one side of the collar curled up. No way could I make it lie flat. I long for the old days when LLBean sold quality clothing designed to fit slim folks.

UPS shows coat was delivered but did not supply picture of delivery. Coat never arrived. I submitted a claim to UPS and their reply was that they forwarded to LL Bean. I have heard nothing from LL Bean. I live in a small cul de sac and the house sits well back from the street. I do not know of any porch pirates in the area but I do not have the coat so cannot give it a good review.

Bought the mens 2xl regular thinking that it would cover my butt as I am a short woman and this size in other mens jackets work. Bought it on sale last spring never tried on as weather was too warm when I got it, put it away forgot about it and just found it, took out of plastic cover and tried on and the fit is crazy big on the shoulders but tight at waist and length is very short and sleeves which which would normally be long on me fit just right. Fits like a midriff level football jersey.

I got a small and I'm swimming in it. The shoulders especially, which is too much to get tailored. It's a shame it doesn't come in a smaller cut. I have to return it.

Over the last 20 years I've had 3 of the same color warmup jackets and they were perfect for my needs. The new one I just purchased , and returned, was a little different color, not suitable and not the same taupe color, the fabric is also different, it wrinkles really badly. Not even close to my jackets purchased in the past.

It doesn't fit. It is definitely not a 2XL jacket. I saw one review which said the size was way off, but I thought it might be a one-off thing, and ordered it for my husband. It might be either a Medium or Large, but not anywhere close to 2XL. I am surprised at LL Bean for sending out something like this and not accepting it back without a reduction in payment.

The jacket is good. But you ship it with the collar all jacked up. It's all bent down at the corner with a terrible kris in it. I guess there was something defective with the money I paid you.

This jacket was a replacement for an older jacket of the same model. The zippers in these jackets are plastic and of poor quality. The jacket being replaced was still in good condition except for the zipper, which had gone bad and it could not be replaced. The jackets are otherwise excellent~long lasting, warm, etc. but because the zippers are cheap plastic and do not last, the jackets are ruined. All my other garments have brass zippers which outlast the rest of the garment. We were disappointed to find that the new jacket has the same plastic zipper. L.L. Bean can do better.

The jacket arrived with a thousand wrinkles that would never come out. Ironing nylon was out of the question. My husband was very disappointed with the condition of this jacket. He has bought three others from L.L. Beans throughout the years that he has enjoyed wearing for many years. We returned the jacket to L.L. Bean.

I ordered this style and color jacket in December 2024 in medium, which is my usual size. It arrived within about a week, a few days ahead of schedule. However, although it was labeled "medium:, it fit more like a large or even a extra large. I returned it, requesting a a replacement in "small". After almost two weeks, I contacted LL Bean to ask where my jacket was. Instead of an exchange, they simply credited the account without notice. The customer rep said she saw my return was marked "exchange" but wasn't. No explanation or apologies Amusingly though, she asked if I would like to reorder! I said "no" and ordered from another company. That jacket fit right the first time and I was even contacted to confirm I was happy.

Too small. Maybe my fault, but I ordered the same size as the jacket I was replacing and it didn't fit the same. Sent it back and reordered the next size larger. We'll see if that's better.

Jacket is good quality but poorly proportioned. Too large in stomach area. I had to return the jackets for my husband and my son.

I purchased this jacket at the LL Bean store in Colonie Center, New York. It was my casual, everyday use jacket in the colder weather. Unfortunately, the cuffs are delicate and after about a year, they began to fray and develop holes which the clerk at the store attributed to normal wear and not a defect. LL Bean should use more durable material for the cuffs.

I was disappointed with the fit of the jacket this time. I have ordered this same jacket for 10+ years and had always ordered a men's large as it fit good with enough room not to be tight. However, when I tried the large size jacket this time, it was so tight I thought I had ordered a size small. So I decided to return it for an extra large. Now that one is way too big. So going to send that one back too. Just don't understand why they had to make the large size jacket smaller. Frustrating.

My husband loved this jacket. The color and fit were perfect. Unfortunately the jacket did not wear well. The knit on the sleeves and bottom began to fray and rip. Maybe he just got a lemon, but this was a huge disappointment. Sent a message about this to customer service and never heard back.

I bought this exact coat more than 15 years ago. It has held up well but frayed cuffs and a broken zipper pull finally persuaded me to replace it so I ordered a new one. I was printing the return label less than an hour after I received the package with the new coat. The outer material (shell) feels much thinner/flimsier. The outer material also makes a "crinkly" noise whenever it moves - the constant rustling noise would be an ongoing aggravation. The lining did seem comparable to the original. The windbreaker was on its way back to LL Bean hours after I received it. Yet another Bean classic which has unfortunately lost quality over the years. I guess we should blame the people who abused the old return policy, or current management for cutting corners. or both.

Very nice jacket. The pockets could be a little deeper, but other then that a nice jacket for the price.
