I live in Minnesota and these lovely boots arrived in November. Right out of the box I wore them on a 3 mile city walk. My feet were warm in lightweight merino wool socks and I had zero discomfort. They are lighter in weight than the traditional Joan of Arctic and much easier to walk, not clunky. They have great traction and to top it all off...they are beautiful, well made boots. I would highly recommend!

I literally cannot recommend these boots more highly! My feet are always freezing in winter, to the point that I have never enjoyed being in the snow or very cold weather. After reading great reviews, I ordered these boots for a recent ski trip. The temperature was in the low 20's, and I spent hours outside in the snow with 100% warm feet the entire time!!! I went sledding, fell in the snow, and walked in snow as tall as the boots - throughout all of this, not a single snowflake got inside the boots, and there was never a single moment where my feet felt even slightly cold. These boots are hands down the best pair of shoes I have ever purchased!! They are SO comfortable and warm, and I am recommending them to everyone I know. I've already bought 2 more pairs of Sorel shoes because of how great these are! In terms of sizing, I wore my regular boot size (7.5) with one pair of medium thickness wool socks, and they fit perfectly. Very comfortable, not too heavy at all, and stylish too! BUY THESE SHOES! You will not regret it!

I have the original Joan of Artic boots and decided to try these for a more everyday use in snow/cold weather. These are so unbelievably comfortable!! Light weight as compared to my others (which is why they're more for snow play) I am usually a 7.5/8 and I ordered an 8. These fit quite true to size ... comfortable with thin or thicker socks. These boots truly are my new favorite "go to" winter boot. I highly recommend them.

Purchased for a Christmas in the mountains trip -- could not be more pleased! From the moment they were delivered and unpacked, I did not want to take them off -- with my socks on, they feel like comfy slippers! Boots not heavy, easy to walk in with good traction in the snow, stylish look with the faux fur and WARM. Money well spent!! Typically wear between a size 8 1/2 or a size 9... in this boot, purchased a size 9. Boot provides room for wearing a thicker sock. Also, the laces are of a good weight and stay tied up.

I purchased these in the 'curry' color. Color is exactly as pictured. In the past I'd worn the same pair of Joan of Arctic boots( cold weather/deep winter snows) for the last 7 years. Tread was starting to wear and this year was the year of the new boot for me. I've been looking at these beauties since last winter and finally clicked on the buy button. So glad that I did! Right out of the box I wore them for a 3 mile outdoor walk. Comfort AND warmth. I wore them with a light merino wool sock and toes were nice and toasty. They are lighter in weight than the traditional Joan of Arctic(always my biggest/only complaint), which makes them as comfortable as a traditional walking boot! I highly, highly, highly recommend!

These are the best winter boots I've ever purchased. My last pair were leather UGG snow boots. In comparison these Sorels are better. Was hesitant because of the high price but I'm glad I bought them. Purchased in black. True to size. They are extremely comfortable and warm. Great traction in the snow and perfect for the cold Chicago weather and my over a mile walk to the office from the train. Nice looking and I receive compliments when I wear them.
