Love these shoes. I have clocked over 500kms in these puppies this summer and fall, through a mixture of trail running and multiday backpacking trips. Provides great comfort, grip, and stability. When I am hiking I am usually carrying 40lb - 50lbs of camera equipment and do 20-30km/day. My feet are never sore or uncomfortable. Never had a blister either.

Have been running these shoes for 6 months and the comfort is second to none. Perfect shoe for hiking all over the world. Breathes great, unreal arch support and can handle any conditions.

For me, it's all about the fit. I'm a low mileage runner these days and it's all about the trails. These have the perfect amount drop and cushion for me. I wear Superfeet insoles because my arches are higher and these shoes lace up great over my midfoot. The toebox is wide ER which is also great. I definitely have a low-volume foot and these are perfect for narrower feet. I love these shoes and have 2 pair. I wear them for hiking, also, because they're just such a good fit for me.

Excellent, solid shoes for light hiking and walking. Grip is fantastic. For me, not enough cushion and compliance for running, though everyone is different. The cuff is slightly too high, so need to choose socks carefully.

Used the Norvan LD 3 for most of the hikes and trail runs in Norway this season. Great shoe with excellent grip, cushion and lockdown. Very stable and comfortable, no blisters and less fatigue. Great fit for my feet. The ankle cuff is a tiny bit high, but It doesn't cause any problems for me. But I can feel it running downhills. Overall, my favourite shoe for rocky terrain.

I had this shoes for quite a while and use them for hiking, not running. My last trip was 186km on Tour de Mont Blanc on which I had them on different types of terrain, rocks, regular paths, concrete, grass etc. They were very comfortable. Excellent grip on wet surfaces. I'm usually size 9 but get them 9.5, which was a good choice, extra room helped on descents.

I tried these shoes at a demo day at a women's trail running meet up and I was really surprised at how comfortable they were. I am usually a women's size 11, and I wore a 10 at the demo day, and they were fun for a 6 km trail run, even though they were a blt too small. I eventually ended up purchasing a men's 9.5 Norvan 3 LD (why do your women's sizes only go up to a 10?!!?), and I have nothing but love for these shoes. I've done shorter (8-12km) and longer (20km+) trail runs with them over the past 6 weeks, on the prairies, in the Rockies and even in the Alps - from mud to scree and everything in between, and I think these are just awesome shoes. I really like the extra cushioning, the traction is superb, and they are really durable. I've put probably 250-300 km on them already and the lugs still look great. They do run big, so I would get a half size smaller. I was worried about this because I like room in the toe box for foot swelling, but the 9.5 men's (10.5 women's) has worked out perfectly for me. Love these shoes.

LD3 is another step forward in the evolution of the Norvan series. The heel cup feels more secure with a more accomodating toe shape. If you're looking for a high-stack shoe, try the LD3. The lug size and shape makes the outsole great for trail runs in the city as it can easily be taken on the road as well.

I got these for my everyday walk to work shoes and for light hiking. I'm not a trail runner but love the cushion and all day support these shoes offer. The redesigned fit and added room in the toe box feel amazing as I previously couldn't wear Arc shoes due to a wide foot. The grip in the sole is fantastic and navigating mud, ice and loose trails is a piece of cake. Got a half size down as they run a bit big.

I bought these as my everyday/around town shoe. Admittedly I don't trail run but spend all day on my feet and these shoes are fantastic. Really comfortable, however, the GTX model doesn't breath as much. Still love the fit with the wider toe box and would absolutely recommend!

These are the first shoes I have got from Arc'teryx, as normally they fit quite narrow on me. However, these are a bit wider and fit perfectly for my wide feet. I also normally wear more minimalist shoes however will swap to a more cushioned shoe during long ultras, so the LD 3 are perfect for this. They are also still super lightweight. I also love the blue colour and that you can tuck away the shoelaces in the shoes tongue.

I run a mix of road and trail. I've had groin and knee issues for years and they've kept me from running more than 5K. Have tried numerous shoes (besides physio and all that). I most certainly did not buy this shoe under the impression it would fix that, but it somehow has!! I'm baffled honeslty. I guess all that "improved ride" and "higher stack" is not just tech jargon.

This shoe is really comfortable! So glad Arc'teryx finally made shoes that are wide enough for my feet and I really hope future models will be as well.

Big fan so far. In comparison to the Ld2 shoe, these are a big improvement. The cushioning is significantly better than the 2, and the fit is refined a bit better to my feet. The lace tuck in a wee bit smaller, but still pretty good. My heels seem to lock a touch better than the 2s as well. Obviously buying shoes online is tough, but these fit similar to all other arcteryx shoes/boots. I'm lucky that it fits my foot, and if anyone is comparing brands, dynafit tends to fit me really well too.

The LD 3 finally gets it right! Balance of comfort, grip, lockdown, and (finally!) ample room in the toebox. After feeling let down by its predecessors in the Norvan line, so glad I took a chance on this exceptional all-rounder. Great on hard rock, in mud and snow, buffed dirt, gravel roads and even tarmac. Better than Hoka Speedgoat in terms of long-haul comfort because of the superior midsole. Rivals anything on the market for distances in excess of 20 miles on the trails. Congratulations! Just ordered a second pair to keep in reserve in case of future supply chain woes.

Picked up a pair as soon as they were available online. So far I've put 50 miles on them. Bottom line they are a completely different shoe than the LD 2. Wider, softer (much softer than I was expecting) , less drop, more stack, more breathable, deeper lugs. Same simple/clean Arc'teryx design aesthetic. The only downside I've noticed is there is a seam above where my pinky toe sits that can cause some irritation if I don't lock the shoe down good enough. Only happens when I wear thin socks and my foot slips around a little while on steep descents. I think a LD Racer version of this shoe with an embedded plate (TPU or Carbon) would be a killer race day shoe.

I've been a runner since I can remember and I feel my best running at a 6:30-7:30min/mile for my 5 and 10ks. These shoes are light (for a trail shoes), durable and very supportive. I also have the Norvan LD 2s which are a lower profile and less beefy. Even though I like the look of the Norvan LD 2s better, my feet are happier in the 3s.

These are very firm shoes, not the cushioned feeling I was expecting. But they're beautifully made, great outsoles for traction. Love the orange color. I couldn't keep them, but maybe younger feet can!

After a year of these on trail, through rivers, I LOVE them. These are the best trail runners I have ever owned. I was hesitant to got back to laces after boa and speed laces, but honestly these are cheaper without Boa laces. And 1000 times better than speed laces. Actually, these laces are so good that they are a pain to untie after hard miles of hot desert. Mine had never came untied. I will never go back to GTX for a shoe. These dump water fast and dry enough that its barely noticeable. I will 100 buy another pair before they stop making this model.

Gorgeous shoes that are a staple in my weekly rotation between my Hoka Transports. I can walk 20,000 steps a day in these with no problems. Extremely comfortable shoes that lock your heel in place for a snug fit during the hill/trail runs. Highly recommend.

Did 12 miles on trail out of the box. Really comfy. Firmer than my Salomons, but still super comfy. Look amazing. Did 20 miles of canyoneering over two days and they held up great, dried out really fast. Excited to put some more miles on these. Good toe box room as well, I have a mid-size foot.

This review is not based on use, but on looks, because I have had a few pairs of Arcteryx shoes before that I liked very much. I hate the look of the chunky outer heels on these. I returned them... this is not Balenciaga. I want a minimalist look without the overly "fashionable" aspect of what's in style right now. These are still shoes that I want to buy for hiking first, and then style.
