First of all, I love Merrells. I have had many different shoes from them over the years. I bought this style about 10 years back and I loved them and wore them everywhere until there was nothing left! I bought the same style about 3 months ago in the medium width as my new replacement. Unfortunately they feel so wide, and the insole really does not feel adequate. The length feels just alright, maybe even a quarter size larger than my previous pair in the same size. I have tried new insoles to fill up the dead space, but I have even resorted to wearing two pairs of socks... Im disappointed and I'm worried that it could cause an injury down the road.

I generally love Merrill's shoes but these rubbed the back of my ankles raw.

I have a medium to high arch. Unfortunately, the arch support was not centered and too far back towards my heel to properly support my foot. The arch support being too far back caused an improper fit around my heel and caused the top of my foot to feel pressure from the tongue and laces. They had great gription which is why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1.

I'm disappointed that my recently purchased shoes are not holding up well. I bought these Moab's a few weeks ago and while they are very comfortable, some fraying has appeared on the upper fabric just under the inside of the ankle on both shoes. My last pair of merrels lasted almost 10 years of hiking but it seems improbable these will serve as long.

I bought these shoes for doing some light hiking, but after about 2 months they started to hurt my heels. Now I can't wear them at all

I do not like these shoes. They have a very long puffy tongue and are extremely heavy and clunky.

I have my shoes for about a year. I have had several Merrell's in the past. I usually love their shoes. But I am quite disappointed with this pair. I found them very slippery on wet surfaces, and not just ice. But water too. I find that the mesh goes down too far and if I step into a puddle my feet get wet. Overall, I am not very happy with these shoes.

Received a USED pair when I paid full price? That's a first from Zappos. Both shoes had the lace aglets torn and worn. Are you kidding me?

pretty shoe, seemly defective lumps in the arch . Very high and painful, throughs alignment off completely in the foot, ankle, knee, hip and back. Something wrong in this design. I loved the look though and am disappointed in this odd shoe bed.

I've purchased Merrell shoes for the past 20 years. These moab 3 shoes are very poor quality, the toe cap is already separating from the shoe. Ive worn them for about 2 week. I hope Merrell quality has not gone down hill as I'm very disappointed.

I've purchased MANY pairs of this model of shoe over the years and they've definitely gone down in quality. They're light weight and flimsy and have very little cushion on the sole. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I haven't had these Moab 3 for very long and they are already pulling stitches at the toe. The quality seems to keep getting worse after each pair I purchase. Also I have noticed that the heel bed is not as giving as my prior Moabs (been wearing them for years).

There's no way to sugarcoat it; these shoes are terrible. Hard, clunky, and torture for the feet, the very opposite of the Moab 2 series. Why companies have to mess with a good shoe is beyond me, but I bought a few pairs of these and needed to see a podiatrist after one use. They'll be going to the homeless shelter.

I received these shoes and as I went to try them on at home one of the pull tabs tore off. Have been a long standing customer of other Merrell models so really disappointed. Would not purchase again.

Unfortunately, I give these a 1 start because they gave me plantar fasciitis. They are very stylish and I love the exterior but the soles are extremely hard (mainly the heel). It was really painful to walk for about a week so I had to buy a different pair of insoles to cushion it a bit more but they still feel rock hard when you walk in them. Hopefully someday they can redesign these to have more cushioning/shock absorption.

I bought these on a promo. They are at least a size smaller maybe two sizes smaller than the tag on the tongue says.

Never buying Merrel again, they stink from the very beginning. They are comfortable and durable but stink too much.

Am expensive shoe that does not last and becomes extremely uncomfortable after a few hikes.
The inside of the heal near the pull tab also does not last, it wore through quickly. On my last hike I wanted to take these off and burn them and hike out barefoot in mid 20 degrees weather over rough ground and possible cacti seeme preferred to taking another step in these.
The rest of the trip my Moabs were left in the jeep.
