Most comfortable sturdy shoe I have found and I wear these every day for the past ~5 years. No footpain at all, no matter how much walking I do. However, they are not waterproof. Both my first and second pair started letting in water after some period of use. Especially when stepping in a puddle, the water seeps in from the sides where the sole and rest of the shoe are joined.

This is the best hiking shoe Ive owned so far. Walking on trails, in caves and some small mountains these shoes were great! They were not too stiff and have great tread on the bottom. Did not feel slippage on rocks or stony trails.

The Moab 3 Waterproof wide width is a perfect fit for me. After trying on every brand available in all price ranges this was the most comfortable fit. After a decent trial period I can now say it is a great shoe. It slips on easily (unlike every other shoe I have owned) and is comfortable even after miles of walking on uneven ground and has a good non-slip grip on the rocks. I bought these after I had the same experience with the mid-height and I'll be ordering a back up pair of both. Please don't discontinue these.

Great fit. Relatively light. I wont know for sure until I wear them in. Am preparing for the Camino de Santiago. These will carry my old feet.

Love the soles for getting through the woods for turkey season when insulated is too much. But these just don't do waterproofing. I've had 3 pair now, and the last pair I got didn't hold up to wet grass only on 2 trips out. Toes leak on them almost immediately. I'd like to see them in leather. Most leather waterproof hold up, but not these. No fake leather either, that breaks. Soles good for traction, comfortable, but I give a minus 5 stars for waterproof.

The support of this shoe is not as comfortable to my foot as is the Target II shoe. Im not sure what the difference is, but Ive developed plantar fasciitis since I began to walk in this shoe daily.

Stayed dry! Wish there was more arch support, my feet were sore after a decent walk. The shoes were sturdy and gripped well. Could also use a lace that stayed better, kept getting untied

It is hard for me to find a show that fits, as I have a wide foot, and require orthotics. The Moab 3 comes in Wide, and using 1/2 size larger than usual, I could easily accommodate the orthotic. I had to try a couple of sizes; Merrells return policy made this easy, since wide shoes are not readily available in stores. Very comfortable, and sure footing on uneven trails.

I returned to Merrell footwear after trying other brands. I have a Merrell foot, pretty high arch, no probation, and my toes like a little wiggle room. The fit is perfect, they have great support for such a light shoe, and were perfect right out of the box. I will NEVER purchase another brand

Love the fit and the look of these. They are great when hiking through mildly wet conditions on the trails, keeping my foot dry. They are quite stiff/sturdy so they sometimes hurt my toe region. But I have bunions and this is common with me. Can't recall if I bought the wide, but the toe box is heaven in these low hikers. I definitely recommend them!

Best hiking shoes I owned. Didnt need to be broken in, could hike 30+ miles with no issues in new shoes. Did not get wet in a shallow river.

Be aware that these run a half size too small. I scoured over the reviews and saw almost everyone said they ran true to size. They absolutely do not. I am a solid 9.5 in every shoe I own from chucks to stilettos. I had to order a half size larger. Keep in mind that if you live at an FPO/APO they will not exchange shoes for you and youll have to send them back via USPS on your own dime. I was told they may reimburse shipping, but that its on a case by case basis. I ended up just selling them to someone locally because Im not taking that risk. She wears a 9 and the 9.5s fit her perfectly. Anywho, the shoes are very comfortable if you get the right size. Like, super comfortable right out of the box. Im going to hike Mt. Fuji in them and I think theyll work great. They have fantastic grip.

Im on my third pair of the Moab hiking shoe. I know when I get a new pair exactly how they will fit & feel on me. I like consistency & dependability and thats what I get when I purchase Merrell products, be it shoes, clothing or accessories they are always so good!

I loved these shoes: they felt comfortable first time on, looked great, but the heel slipped like crazy when walking…I tightened the laces which helped, but then the top was too tight. Sigh, why do they not make wide width shoes w normal heels?

Love these shoes! Comfortable right out of the box for hours of hiking. I only have one tiny complaint and that is that they come untied often, which may be caused by the type of area I hike in, mostly wooded with brush type areas. Other than that, I love them!

I have quite a few different pairs of Merrell shoes. I bought these to walk my dogs in the winter & spring months in Pa. They are sturdy , waterproof , good looking & have great tread , but after about a month of wear, I am still slowly breaking them in. They hit my foot in the tongue area and thats where I am having a problem. I sure hope this breaks in soon and they become more comfortable.

I ordered the Moab 3s in womens but had to get wide width because I needed more room in the shoe overall after trying the standard width. I have never purchased wide width shoes - the Moabs run narrow. I ended up returning for the Moabs in mens, which are a little heavier but so much roomier and a better fit overall.

Merrells sneakers always fit from day one. Never had any blisters due to new shoes or sneakers. I can walk many miles with the Merrells without any pain and discomfort. Sneakers and shoes also have a longevity and stay in shape. The soles are durable as well. All my walking sneakers and shoes are from Merrell

I bought this shoe a few months ago for walking the trails with my dog. This shoe is so comfortable that I want to wear it all the time. Ive never owned a more comfortable hiking shoe! I, also, own Moab trail running shoes that are equally as comfortable. The hiking shoe ran a little smaller than the running shoe. I wear an 8 in the running and 8.5 in the hiking. Thank you for making these!!!
