Very comfortable as a shoe, water shoe, or just in general. I would recommend to anybody.

Love these! - They are very comfortable for standing/walking in for hours, and with the mesh sides & back, they also let the feet "breathe" very well!

I love these sandals! The fit feels perfect (although I take a 10.5 medium on a Moab and found that 9.5 works well). They look great and even though they're sandals, they're not open-toed and the mesh keeps small pebbles out. They look pretty decent and they're sturdy enough for most activities short of hiking up mountains (most hiking in Maine involves lots of roots & rocks and support is key). Also - and this is important - NO VELCRO. And they're easy to slip on & off. I bought three pairs. Just to be on the safe side.

I took my Merrell Speed Strike to Costa Rica and hiked up Arenal Volcano in them. They were very comfortable and made the hike easy. I've been wearing Merrell for years now and still have one that I first got in 2005 which is still going strong. I highly recommend All Merrell shoes as I add this new one to my Merrell collection.

great to wear during walks, hiking and at the beach. I've had them on in all weather conditions and when my feet got wet they dried very quickly and never felt heavy.

Another "out of the box" great fit and feel. No breaking in time required. Wore them hiking to a cove and kayaking the first day I wore them. Replaced another similar pair of Merrell's that I wore for about 15 years.

You have to keep making water shoes! I greatly miss the Manistee that you used to make. Please keep making water shoes!

Took these shoes through through the ringer right out of the box 30+ miles of hiking. These were phenomenal, my feet were cool in the desert and at elevation they were grippy on rocks. Excellent hiking shoes for hot weather.

Great shoes for walking around in hotter climates. You might say these shoes have good air conditioning. In Florida the heat and humidity can be horrible. So I am happy to say my feet feel cooler with these shoes. They have become my daily walkers. Only negative thing to say is putting these shoes on can be not so easy. Love these shoes glad I found them.

I haven't had a chance to wear these outside, reason for the 4-star rating, but I have warn them inside just to get a feel for whether I should keep. They feel pretty good and look nice so I opted to keep. If they are as good quality as my other Merrells they should be fine.

Comfortable and wear almost everyday spring to autumn. Sturdy enough for light trail hiking.
Wear pretty well. Recent purchase was third pair to keep in reserve. Would have given five stars but often have to flatten out tongue when putting them on. Light grey or tan colors would be nice for summer to stay cool.

I like the shoes, I always buy Merrell, but I'm exploring other options. These shoes go "skrunch" when I walk. They didn't start out that way, they've evolved to it. I feel like I have more and more trouble finding Merrells that fit like they used to. Anyway, exploring other options than Merrell.

Very light-weight sport shoe, with open heel and mesh top. It provides great air circulation on warm days. Careful with the sewing of the mesh and solid strap material inside which creates ridges that could rub against the sides of the feet. Mine did, and I had to press the ridges flat for comfort.

Hiked 8 miles down the Narrows at Zion. Great shoe. Worked awesome. Only change I would like to see would be mesh covering the back heel opening just like they have on the sides. I kept getting pebbles/sand that would come in there.

I had to return the first pair I had bought, because of a seam bad finishing on a right shoe. When the second pair had come - I noticed similar problem, but now on the left shoe at the very same place. The righ one was OK. But since I don't feel that that much as it was for the first pair - I decided to keep them. Hope - I'll not regret later after more wearing.
But, in general they are really nice on feet.

Just few months of using, but handles repeated soakings in shallow rocky river kayaking. Also better grip on clay covered rocks than my previous sandals. Sole hasn't come unglued like my previous sandals.

They worked great on my recent canoe trip in the BWCA Wilderness. They were light, yet sturdy and easy to slip on and off. Great in the canoe and on portage trails. The sieve design meant I did not worry about getting them wet and they dried quickly.

I’m happy with fit, a half size smaller might end up too small, they are already a tight snug fit which is also okay with me as I’m using them exclusively as water shoes. Love my Merrells, I keep coming back for more.

4/5 stars - bought them before a boundary waters trip where I needed a solid water shoe AND land shoe. I didn't want to bring two pairs like I typically do, and these did the job. I'd hop out of the canoe, and if it was a long portage, I would also throw some wool socks on, but it's not necessary. It is probably obvious from the construction, but there is no ankle support or lateral support, so I would not recommend hiking difficult/very rocky terrain in them if you are not sure footed or if you are prone to rolling ankles. Over gradual rises and falls these will work great for everyone.
only downside: on the longer portages I really wanted to synch these down tight. It is sort of possible, but not without having a long bungie drawstring hanging off the tongue. I wish there was a sleeker way to tighten these.

I am a big fan of Merrell, and have always had good experiences with all of my shoes with the brand. I just received these, and really like them so far. They are comfy, look sharp, and I am sure that they will last like most of my previous Merrells. Only one small complaint, thus the four star rating: I plan to wear these on rivers like I have my previous water shoes from you. Since I am in and out of my kayaks/rafts on the regular, I really appreciate the mesh in these to keep out the sand, rocks, and debris...but for some reason, there is no mesh in the hole at the back/heel of the shoe, it is open. Not sure why that was left open, but is an entry point for stuff to get in. Other than that, this shoe is great. I just hope that this model is kept around longer than most of the water shoes Merrell has gone through...I have really liked some, but they are discontinued after a season or two.
