I am beginning to think that Zappos is acquiring factory seconds from manufacturers. I have worn Merrills exclusively for the past decade, but there is something odd about this shoe. Its tongue is wider than normal, at least compared to the other pair of Merrills I have now, and different from any Merrills I've owned in the last 10 years (at least 6 pairs). The size of the shoe itself is fine, which is why I did not return them, but in wearing them over an extended period of time, they are extremely uncomfortable on both feet. As a result, I have worn them exactly twice and will likely not wear them again. I have exercised brand loyalty, as well as loyalty towards Zappos, but I am beginning to question the wisdom of that, especially if Zappos is acquiring factory seconds in order to improve their profit margin.

I buy men's sizes because they don't make women's shoes in a true wide width. I ordered women's size first and, even though I ordered wide width in my size, they were tight and my toes hit the front. That did not happen with these. They have enough room for heavy socks and my orthotics and were long enough. While I would like to have the colors found in women's shoes, but the fit is more important.

Shoes are comfortable for day long use. Have Morton’s neuroma so cannot tolerate a narrow shoe. Got shoes in wide width. They seem to have adequate room in toe box area.

These ran smaller and narrower than usual for Merrell. I’m usually a men’s 10 and would like to size up, however Zappos wants an extra $50 to exchange for a different size. Very unreasonable. Questioning whether to keep shopping with Zappos.

I have ordered this model before and always have liked them. I noticed that the soul design has changed some. It appears it has the potential to last longer but I will have to see over time.

This is a quality I expect from Merrell. Great fit and apparent toughness. It is very comfortable with ne rubbing. Fits true to size.

Shoes were nice overall but the wide width was too narrow for my husband's feet so had to return.

Wearing these shoes, I walked about nine miles on concrete this past weekend, and my feet felt fine. Couldn't ask for more.

The shoes look good, fit all right. However, despite the addition of an insert to cushion the sole, I could feel the tread of the bottom of the shoe against the soles of my feet, to the point it was very uncomfortable. I was disappointed.

Since nobody makes narrow (A or B width) shoes anymore, trial and error is always necessary for me with "medium" widths. I tried 4 other shoes until the Merrill Moabs. They are just narrow enough and what helps a lot is that there is plenty of lacing width to go wider , higher instep or narrower. The heel pocket is nice and snug.

The size 11 was too small but the size 11.5 was perfect and he loves them.

Fits very well, quite true to stated specs. Well made.

Merrell's are always a winner in my book! Excellent all around shoe!
