True to size

So I am normally either 8 or 8.5, so I ordered size 8.5, but next time I will order the size 8. I had to really tighten up the laces, but somewhere around the first mile I could really feel the benefit of this shoe. It was both comfortably cushioned as well as easy on the arches and the feet. This is the shoe I needed, I will buy another pair for the beach.

I ordered these because the previous Merrell Moabs in Wide width were perfect and lasted a long time! Looking forward to wearing these out, too!

fit like a glove

I've worn Merrell shoes for years. They are simply good products.

Fit felt small compared to shoes of same size (even within same company).

Great shoes. Comfortable for hiking the minute I put them on. Lightweight and perfect for trail walking. Not waterproof, though! (A good thing for keeping feet cooler, not so good for hiking in a rainstorm.)

I ordered 1/2 size larger for more toe room; the Wide option was too large - returned for the regular width which was perfect; the insole actually cups the heel and has good arch support - no need to buy my own inserts; I love them!

Comfortable

Fit and size were perfect. I've purchased several of these over the years. I do always put inserts in but I suspect that's my feet not the shoes!

I keep coming back to these shoes. I've lost track but this must be my third or fourth pair of Moab's. I like the style and the fit is always good. I prefer more arch support so I put in my own orthotic insoles. No big deal, that's just my preference. I highly recommended them to my wife who wants a good gardening shoe.

So I ordered these because I had just gotten the Moab 3 12.5W in black and they fit perfectly. When I put the walnut colored ones on the size was quite different—was much wider and taller in the toe box. I had a Moab 3 in size 13 and even they were smaller. Had to return them and I hate returns. Emailed Merrell to get their sizes in line.

Feels good

I bought these for the discount more than the vibrant colors, but they feel very good. I wear them to walk on the gym treadmill and have been very pleased for the last week or so.

Arguably the best hiking/walking shoes I have ever purchased. Perfect fit and extremely comfortable right out of the box. I was looking a wide shoe with a soft upper to avoid the shoe squashing my toes as I walk. These shoes ticked all the boxes. Well worth the price.

Merrells have never disappointed yet - Always true to fit those of us with wide feet.

This is one of the most UNcomfortable shoes I have ever tried. The uppers are too tight and the soles are big, heavy and hard as a rock. I couldn't imagine walking a mile in them. Return to Sender.

Great shoes.

Ordered men's 10D. They were too small. Returned them for a 10.5D which fit perfectly. Comfortable right out of the box.

These are some of the longest lasting shoes I have owned. The soles just keep going. I do have to replace the insoles every 3 to 6 months, but a pair of Dr. Scholl's® works fine. I wore out a pair of Hoka's in less than 6 months. I once got two years out of a pair of these Merell's. Although, one year is closer to the mean. That is doing about 1,000 miles per year of hiking on mixed terrain.

moab 3 are perfect for hiking -- the sole hasnt shown any wear after 1 year

Replaced my 5++ year old Merrell Moab GoreTex with these Moab 3 without GoreTex since we don’t get a lot of inclement weather. Shoes were great out of the box. No break-in required. I need a shoe with a generous toe box and these suit me well. Guess this will be my shoe for another 5++ years. Not a bad investment.

Fit and size were perfect. I normally wear a 12.5 but the 12 fit very comfortably.

Great low hiker. I use it for travel when I am going to be walking all day.
