Just took my Merrell hiking and bird watching. It was the first time I wore them and they totally comfortably from the moment I put them on until I took them off 10 hours later. They are stylish and light and excellent on semi-rugged terrain.

Bought these for an upcoming hike with the expectation that they would need a good break in period. I was very surprised just hoe comfortable these are. A+++

These shoes fit and work great. I take my puppies for a 2-4 mile hike each day on road, gravel, dirt and sand and they are always super comfortable. A couple of tips, order the correct size, I wear a 12 1/2 wide and tried a 13 wide and it just wasnt right, ended up donating them to Goodwill. The Merrell stores help find the correct fit. Wear the best socks you can afford and dont be afraid to be a kid and jump into a puddle.

This is my 6 th pair of Moab wide width hiking shoes, they instantly fit my very wide feet, making hiking so much more enjoyable. I hiked the Camino de Santiago with them (800 km) and they held up very well.

I've purchased Moab 2s for years. I always had to insert a more comfortable insole to make them bearable. The Moab 3 eliminates this vexing issue. They're a *lot* more comfortable than expected and no additional insole is necessary. In short, the perfect shoe.

These became my "go-to" walking, hiking, everyday shoes right out of the box. That doesn't happen with every pair of shoes I've bought through the years. This is my third pair of Moab 3 shoes and I've liked all of them, but these are the best. I really like the color "Highrise" whatever that's supposed to mean - they're "white-ish gray." Very comfortable and good looking.

I have had six surgeries on my left foot, and the Moab 3 is extremely comfortable and stable, which pleases my Podiatrist. I have two pair, olive and black. Both look and feel good.

Great styling and build quality, but this wasn't as comfortable on my foot as a Salomon X Ultra 04.
I'd also recommend:

The Merrell Moab 3 Avocado shoes I purchased fit and wear great! LAst pair I purchased was 20 years ago, they lasted until oh, about 3-4 years ago, the soles finally wore through. Great shoes, interesting, unique designs, GREAT PRICES - should have bought more the day AFTER XMas, but alas I did not, oh well... locally these same shoes the Moab 3's sell for 140-150.00, locally, I could have bought two pairs for that price! Everybody, comments on my new kicks, esp. the color, lol... reminds me of the washer, dryer, fridge and sinks we had growing up as a kid - Avocado Green... can't beat that... thanks to Zappos - appreciate y'all! : )
I'd also recommend:
Merrell, Nike, Bates, Danner...

Great show, very comfortable. Would help with a bit more arch support and toe Guards for trails but still a great shoe. Number 39 in my collection lol

I have completed one 6 km walk wearing my new lo-top Merrell Moab 3 shoes. The Pros: These shoes have excellent grip with their coarse-lug Vibram soles. The size is a good match for my 10W foot size, so ordering online worked out. The shoes are slightly wider and longer than my `regular' 10W shoes, but this works well given the thicker socks that I tend to wear while hiking. The Cons: The outsole and midsole are sufficiently thin that I can feel the individual lugs of the Vibram sole pressing against the sole of my foot. I would not have imagined that this was possible. These are early days, but for the moment, this sensation is quite distracting while walking. I expected blisters or corns and calluses to develop, but they have not appeared so far. The sides of the shoe are also thinner than expected, so there is no significant lateral support. This is not a problem while walking on level ground or pavement, but it could be painful or even dangerous if attempting to hike on even slightly uneven ground / trails.

Fit is excellent for wide foot bed. Very stable and comfortable. Like the Dark Gray color. Have had 2 people ask where I got that color. Everyday use. Sole is definitely non-skid on wet surfaces. Good buy!

I was excited about these shoes and thought for sure theyd be my new hiking companions, but sadly they were not comfortable for me. The toe box was nice and roomy, which I really liked, but there was a lot of pressure on the heels just standing. I returned them because of that.

I consider these shoes one of my best investments given they are durable and have enabled many outdoor adventures. I like the fact that they are water resistant and have great traction. They are worth every penny.

I've always been a fan of the Merrell Moab series but decided to take an adventure and try different shoes because I walk around 8 miles a day. For the last 3 years, I've tried several different brands and styles of shoes and have struggled with finding shoes that I love. Since I couldn't find a shoe I love, I decided to go back to my Merrells and ordered these Moab 3's. I feel like I've been saved and found my way home. These are great shoes, super comfortable with great support and the style is on point. I'm never ordering another brand!

I love the Merrell Moab Hikers. I order extra when they come on sale, so that I have another pair handy once I wear out the miles. Great support for waland hiking.
