Thought this was going to be warmer based on the description. It's just OK

I ordered a L and a M. I am 6'1 Male about 170lbs. The large fit great through the chest (I'm about 42in) but the waist area is a disaster. I am thinner build and the L balloons out at the bottom and looks ridiculous. I would say this is made for a guy with a big belly due to the extra space...which is ironic as it says its "slightly fitted". I then Ordered the M which fit great at the waist but was too snug in the chest shoulders. Returned both and the search continues.

Quality was excellent! Fit was accurately described. Issues with product were the collar points, which stick into the bottom of your jaw unless it is fully zipped or fully unzipped. I bought it to wear indoors while working from home. Wanted something warm and comfy for the winter. Everything was perfect except the collar points which were annoying. I sent it back.

Bulky looking and tough to put on because the material grabs. I should have returned it. I have another one I bought a few years ago, non-sweater like and low pile, slightly fitted; much nicer but of course it's no longer available. Had I known it was going to be discontinued, I would have bought more.

The pouch lining hangs down past the bottom seam which makes the appearance look messy. I didn't like the length of the pull over as well. I have a regular build and it seems there are a few of your products designed this way and require me to purchase them in "tall". I returned the pull over.

Too heavy for layers, too heavy to carry in the backpack, and I would want to take it off as soon as I came inside or got into a car. Fits well. Looks good. Well made. If you live in Maine or Boston and plan to go hiking in the snow, go for it. I prefer something like the Airlight pullover, which is more flexible.

I bought this three or four months ago but find myself wearing a 25-30 year old Bean pullover fleece more frequently. Why? Well, first, the sleeves are long for the size, something other reviewers have noted. They are fine if you are wearing it over a long sleeved shirt (which keeps them in check), but wear it over short sleeves and you'll find it sliding down onto your hand. (If like my old fleece it had a little more aggressive elastic in the end of the sleeve this would not arise as a problem.) Second, the kangaroo pocket. It tends to ride down and protrude below the waistband if you have anything at all in it. I am thinking of running a single seam up from the waistband to help hold it in place. I'm not sure if this single pocket really is a feature or just a way to save money in manufacturing. Also, at this price point a zipper at the neck probably would make more sense than the plastic snaps (which seem identical to those on my old fleece). I do think I like the fabric with slightly harder exterior and fleecy interior. It's probably more windproof than my old fleece, but I don't think it's wildly windproof. So over all, it's ok, but not astonishing. I'm on the fence about recommending or not so said, "no." Oh, I said "true to size" but that's really an expression of the body of the fleece, not sleeve length, which is too long.

While I loved the style, it didn't fit my husband. The body was too large and sleeves too long. Maybe an extra-large would have fit fine, but he just had me return it. Sorry. (We also purchased a jacket in the 2XL size and that was too tight.)

Sweater pull over I got for a Christmas present from my son, and the size is too big and the material is not constant and looks to have dark spots in three different places which I did not notice until after I was told by others you spelled something on it, which I did not it's in the material. The size is not true , And much too big
I would return for a size smaller and a cleaner look but do not have receipt as it was a Christmas present, it was bought in King of Prussia L.L. Bean

The majority of my vast wardrobe is from LL Bean because you offer tall man's sizes. For the most part, I love LL Bean clothing. I have shirts that are 30 years old and still going strong. Sometimes the sizing is a little frustrating but with the return policy, it works for me. This particular pullover is a nice, warm, attractive product but as other customers have noted the interior kangaroo pouch is not attached to the interior of the garment so it's kind of annoying. If you put something in it such as your phone, for example, it hangs below the level of the garment. Additionally, the material is starting to pill. I have owned this fleece pullover for about one year.

Ordered the XL Tall in order to get the sleeve length needed, but the body of it didn't fit right. it was huge around and shorter in the back than the front, almost like it was expected a big belly would take up some of the room. Tall, long arms and broad shoulders do not always = big around and that is how this pullover and the other style ordered both fit.

Loved the look on the website but when it arrived the color of the pullover was much darker than pictured. I thought maybe it was my computer screen so then I looked with my iPhone and it was the same as the monitor. The fit was a little slim but manageable. Understand that this is a medium gray NOT a light gray.

Slightly dissapointed with the fit of this pullover. The medium is slightly too big in the waist/chest area. I would exchange for a small, but I think the arms would then be too small. Overall, the fit seems a bit boxy for LL Bean.

the sweater is nice, run big, and the LLBean label is not stitched fully (top part is open), when I call for exchange, it's back ordered, so had to send back.

Feels Cheap.
The color is allegedly gray but it looks olive gray.
Too tight around shoulders and biceps - too baggy around torso and too long. Absolutely not worth $79.
The sleeves are too long and so is the sweater, but I am shorter than the average guy. I prefer sweaters and jackets that fit more like a bomber jacket with some definition in the waist. This is open ended like a bell.
The material felt cheap and itchy. The LL Bean LOGO is gaudy and too big. Sending back.

This fleece is very very warm and very comfortable. The only down side is that the pocket hangs down below the bottom of the pullover if anything is in the pocket. Other than that it's great

I ordinarily order a medium shirt but ordered large to be comfortable and this just barely fits. Would be more comfortable if larger

Nice fleece and comfy to wear. Like others I also noticed the pocket sag but for me it's not a big issue. My main complaint is the sleeves are too long by 1 1/2 -2 inches. Solved by rolling them up at the cuff. I find that this seems to be a common problem with a lot of Bean sweaters. Fits well otherwise. I am a normal size large and buy dress shirts with 34/35 sleeve so my arms are not short... I will keep it but I'm dissappointed with the sleeve length.

I spoke to customer service before ordering this item since there are multiple reviews stating the sleeves are to long. I was told that is done on purpose to make sure the arms remain covered when reaching for something. I am ordering the X Large sweater and I was told the sleeve lenght is 37.5 " which will be long on me.

Nice looking. Roomy enough to not be confining. Got it in the blue, which is a nice shade. Unfortunately, the sizing of the sleeves is out of whack. I am a Regular XL and normally wear a 34/35 sleeve. On this sweatshirt the sleeves go well below my wrist. About a third of the way down my hands. I would think that a 37/38 sleeve length would be the Long version. I own a similar sweatshirt from Patagonia where the elastic at the bottom of the sleeves is a little more effective. On this shirt the hem of the sleeve narrows the cuff a bit, but it has no real benefit to keeping the sleeves up. The overall effect is like wearing your older brother's sweatshirt when you were a kid.

Purchased this and the vest model at the same time. Both items were size large, which is my consistent size in LL Bean clothing. Vest fit great but the sleeves of the pullover were way too long. Came down to the second joint of my fingers, and I wear a 34 to 35 inch sleeve in dress shirts. I can't recommend this pullover unless you want to throw away $6.50 to return it like I did.

This is the most comfortable pullover I own. I was excited when I pulled it out of the bag and felt how soft it was when I put it on. When wearing it out though, I noticed that the collar always seemed awkward. If you wear it up, it looks a bit too tall, as opposed to other brands that use shorter collars. If you wear it down, it awkwardly rolls back and doesn't look right. Would definitely like to see this issue fixed on future iterations of this product. Until then, I would recommend other brands that may be slightly less soft on the inside, but have a better cut.

I love this warm sweater - the old one though. They've changed the cuff to where it's so big it always slips over your hands. Very annoying.

I usually wear a Medium (dress shirts 16/33) and am 6' tall, weight 155, waist 32. This was nice fabric and fit nicely across the shoulders, the waist was loose. It was OK in the waist but would have been better if the trim gathered it a bit more so it wouldn't let air in or if it had a draw string/cord - which it doesn't. I'm returning it because the sleeves are a good 2 inches too long.
