Nice construction. The "natural" color is wildly different than what is pictured. The photos show "natural" as a warm cream color. Actual item received was a dull grayish brown that is cool enough to border on being blueish. The difference is more than can be explained by lighting/natural variation. The photos on the site are actively misleading.

Runs extremely large. The knit is, loose vs tight.

Can't really describe but it felt boxy and short. I'm 6'2" so not quite tall enough to warrant a tall size; the regular crew neck in the same wool fits great.

I was disappointed not only in the quality of the yarn, how it was constructed, and it proportions. The sleeves were far too long for the sizing. The button holes are too small making unbuttoning the sweater very difficult. I returned this gift.

Nice looking and fit true to size. Men's medium. But wool too rough a texture for the relative that I bought it for. So he returned it.

This was my partners FAVORITE sweater. I hand washed, reshaped and laid out flat to dry. Shrunk at least a size.

Got this sweater for my husband for Christmas. It's very attractive but got fuzz balls after the first couple wearings, which is unacceptable considering the price! I'm returning it.

I was disappointed in the sweater because it pills and sheds like crazy. I keep finding little pieces of navy wool all over the house..

If you're a large person, this sweater might work for you. But after exchanging a Medium for Small, it was still way oversize. So I gave up.

At first glance this is a beautiful sweater. If you never plan on washing it, great. But upon a very gentle first wash in cold/flat to dry it was a mess. Pilling and shedding everywhere. Unfortunately it's paramount that this be laundered fairly often so it will not last long. Very disappointing. Not good for an elderly man with a dog.

LL, This sweater was decent, but had no button to close the collar. And, most annoying of all (and the real reason I returned it), it was much LONGER than it appeared in the catalog and online. I'm 5'8" and it was so long it made it impossible for me to get my hands in my bluejeans pockets. If you make the same sweater in a medium/SHORT, and with a collar button , and better yet, in a heavy navy COTTON, I'll buy it. Jim H.

Very bulky, enormous. I wish LL Bean could make up its mind on sizing. I got this in a medium and it was enormous on me. I got a hoodie in medium and it was short and tight. Bugs me too have to pay return shipping, don't think I'll be shopping here again.

It fit great, it was nice and warm, it looked great, but it literally came apart at the seams after 3 months!

I wound up returning this. The collar was pieced together with two very awkward seams instead of being knitted as a single piece. And the cut of the sweater was very boxy in the shoulders.

The sweater arrived with a large hole in the sleeve and pulls in the yarn in several places. Very disappointed!

I bought one last fall, warm. comfortable, but began to ball up after only a few months. Bean ain't what it used to be. Very disappointing. Not worth the price.

I have washed this sweater 5 times and still can not get this oily smell out of it! LL bean usually provides me with the best products! BUT this time not so much!!! I can't get rid of the smell it has!!!

I just received my medium grey colored sweater and the sleeves go all the way to my fingers? Literally 4-5 inches too long. I look like a toddler stole his dad's sweater. I'm a medium in everything else and eventually they get too small from washing but this thing seems massive. I'm apprehensive to get a small and have the opposite problem.
