Too expensive, I want to buy a warm sweater, not an LLBean sweater

Pretty sweater. Collar came apart after three wears. Returned it.

i would have given a higher rating but it was HUGE. thankfully it shrunk in the wash and now is a normal size large. seriously, the sizing for a large said it would fit a 44, well...more like a 48/50. i took a chance and after washing and drying, it is perfect.

The sweater is good quality but way too small. Not true to size at all. I wear a medium and it felt like I had on an extra small.

This is a beautiful, heavy, warm sweater. It was purchased as an indoors house-jacket for a senior, frail man; however, we found on first opening the item from the plastic protective bag that the sweater is covered with woolly pills that we have begun removing with a pair of small, round tipped scissors. We will keep the sweater because we don't believe in returning something that is basically functional, but somewhat inferior in finished quality. Thank you for asking our opinion! You run a great company. We are modest in our purchasing history at llbean, but we appreciate the practical and down-to-earth items we have purchased from your company over at least the past 50 years as mail order customers. It's hard to find an actual 100% wool cardigan for men these days. Most mid-priced cardigans are offered only in 100% cotton. Cotton is simply not warm enough for the cold weather we get here--sometimes in the low 20s or below.

It is a well made cardigan, but it should have a rating of thickness. Because it is very heavy and also needs to be hand washed, we had to return it.

I bought the Classic Ragg Wool Sweater in nautical navy. I wear it at work. I liked it so much I bought it in natural. However, after receiving it, the color is noticeably darker than its picture on the LLBean website. I will keep it, but am disappointed.

Beautiful cardigan, very warm and comfortable. But I didn't expect it to pill as easily as it does, particularly on the inner sleeves. A bit disappointing.

I find the sweater to be a great value if not for the dropped stitch on the left shoulder. I am happy enough that I will do my best to repair it. It is warm and comfortable. The fit is good. Just disappointed with the blemish that was overlooked by quality control.

I'm 6'2", 230lbs, with long arms and broad shoulders, so I ordered the Tall XL. Turns out I'm not that big, I guess. It felt one size too large on me (so I returned it). I don't recommend ordering the Tall unless you're like 6'4" and 250+ lbs. Also, the cardigan smelled weird. I'm sure the odor would dissipate as it airs out, but I would have expected it to smell good fresh out of the bag. Buttons are small, and despite the sweater's bulky knit, it isn't all that warm. It started to pill almost immediately.

We loved the sweater but it was not as ordered. We wanted navy but it came as green/black watch and we have returned it. Too bad as if we ordered navy again it would be incorrect as your tag etc stated navy but it was clearly green/black watch. Somewhere along the line the error was made and no one noticed the color was wrong. I am waiting for my credit.

Material is scratchy - too coarse for wearing over bare arms and uncomfortable around the neck and wrists when wearing a long-sleeve shirt. Other than that it was good for cool indoor use and the burgundy is a great color. Good return service from L L Bean.

The sweater is very nice looking, but it is not warm. The loose knit make for air to penetrate easily. This sweater should have a fleece or flannel liner. It wears well but I have to have a light sweater under it to keep warm..

Sweater is very nice but be aware that it is not the same color pictured on the website. Ours was a grayish light brown (we got it in "natural"). Much darker than the photograph. It is very comfortable and warm so we decided to keep it anyway.

The navy is almost as dark as black! The pictures in your catalogue and on line (like the picture on this page) show a beautiful shade of blue. Disappointed in color .

Overall, well made but not worth the cost. The sizing runs large compared to most modern cuts; the torso is a bit too long. Also, there are seams on the collar at the shoulder line that are both uncomfortable and odd looking. I wouldn't purchase this again.

This did not work well for me. I found the wool to be very thick - too thick and bulky, so I returned it. If you don't mind a very think sweater, this might be fine.

Loose bits of wool here and there, but over all its an ok cardigan. Should have read the details on the sweater because I had no idea LLBean outsourced to China. Color is a little off from what is shown on the screen, but don't mind it.

I just received this sweater today and it is NOT the same quality as the same 2 sweaters I've previously purchased. All three sweaters say they are 100% lambswool, made in Jordan - but the one I just bought is thinner and very rough feeling. What has happened to LL Bean quality??

My wife gave me this wonderful sweater for my birthday two years ago. It's warm, comfortable, and great-looking. About a year later, the collar began to tear away from the back panel. It tore all the way from shoulder to shoulder. I emailed to ask how to get in touch with the repair department. It turns out that L.L. Bean doesn't have a repair department. They said they were sorry about my sweater. A while later, a hole developed in the right elbow. By now it is about twice the size of my fist, which exits the sleeve when I put the sweater on. So, either I got a lemon or L.L. Bean's production quality has deteriorated.
