Very soft and warm. Perfect for my elderly father to wear on chilly days, but would be perfect for any age. A true classic style. The blue color is gorgeous, with subtle green undertones.

I've purchased sweaters online from other companies. They were always too thin and too small. This LL Bean sweater is beautifully made. Thick material and the XL really is an XL. My husband is going to enjoy many wintery days relaxing in this sweater. It costs more than most sweater but is worth the price..

Nice fit, good quality. Mens XLG perfect fit for husbands broad chest (normally wears xlg tshirts). Sleeve length, not too long, nor short. Soft, not too heavy. Wish Bean would carry this style for women instead of preconceived, impractical styles & colors we have to choose from!!

It is a little scratchy, but that's what I was looking for. I don't know for sure, but I don't think you can fake scratchy. It reminds me of Old-world quality. I love the thickness and the weight. The color is darker than I thought it would be, according to the catalog pictures. I would call mine brown, and I ordered natural. Another big plus is the fit. I was a little leery of ordering an XL-Tall, but it does fit snugger than I thought it would, which again for me, is a plus. Body and sleeve length are what I was hoping for. You won't be disappointed!

Overall this sweater is very comfortable. The wool is soft and not at all scratchy. It is warm but not quite as warm as I was expecting. I normally buy extra large or tall sizes but the standard large fits me well with some room to spare. It is a good casual looking sweater. I was disappointed to see that it was made in China.

Love to wear wool products and this sweater is excellent quality, looks good and feels great.

Bought two of these at the beginning of autumn and I wear them frequently. They are perfect for WFH in my older house. They have a generous shawl collar that is well proportioned overall making them quite versatile to different pairings. They fit nicely over an oxford and pair well with jeans and khakis and even look great with a tartan tie. I had an issue with one of the sweaters and customer service took it back and sent me a replacement. Im very pleased with my sweaters and customer service!

Perfect shawl collar cardigan. Chunky lapels, nice substantial weight knit. Very cozy and warm. Easy to throw on with anything from a t shirt to an oxford and knit tie. I'll be wearing it with everything all fall and winter long.

I wanted a warm cardigan for the house this winter and this one is just great. It fits true to size, is very warm and comfortable and I am very pleased with it. I am sure I'll wear it outside at some point (actually I already have) and it is so comfortable. It has two nice pockets that fits my phone well (iPhone 11 pro). If you are looking for a warm cardigan this is it.
