This sweater is not the same quality as previous Raggwool sweaters that I have purchased from LL Bean. The wool is not as heavy in weight, and the sweater fits tighter than previous Raggwool sweaters that I have bought.

First products Ive purchased from LL Bean. Not disappointed in the two sweaters. The Classic Ragwool Crew Neck is thicker than expected and great for wearing with jeans and a T shirt underneath. It fit a little tighter than I wanted, but after reading the other reviews, Im glad I ordered it one size larger. I will be ordering other sweaters from LL Bean

Gave this as a gift to my husband, he loved it. This was a replacement to an old sweater that he'd just worn out everywhere-- neck, sleeves, elbows (already patched). I know this will be a bit hit too.

It's the classic I had many moons ago. Simple, strait forward, and well made.

The sweater shrank at least 2 sizes. Very dissapointing for LL Bean.

This is my first of two (other being the cashmere V neck) LL Bean sweaters. I am 510 at 190 lbs with wide shoulders, so I ordered size Large after reading some reviews. I usually have to order XL because I do not like the sleeves riding up my arms. The size is perfect, hope it stays this size after cleaning. This sweater is thicker than expected, so I will see if its too warm for Texas Winters. Well made product and soft for wool. I will be purchasing other LL Bean products.

Very warm, not scratchy and fits pretty true to size. Im 6 feet and an athletic 200 lbs, bought an xl fits nicely, large was a just a little too tight for my preference, great color too. Highly recommend for cold days and nights in central Massachusetts.

This sweater is very comfortable and quality is great. But as many other reviews state it runs a bit big. I have an athletic build at 6'1 /185lbs and ordered a Large. The sleeve length, chest, and shoulder fit is good but overall is too boxy and wide if you have a slimmer midsection.

Very warm, not as itchy as I thought it would be. Love that it's 100% wool and not a blend.

I purchased an XL and it is more like an XXL compared to another XL sweater also from Bean.

Great looks, fit and feel. Time will determine its toughness.

Nice wool sweater - as advertised. Substantial weight without being too heavy. A little larger than previous size M wool sweaters that I've purchased from Bean, but maybe that will correct itself after the first washing. It's getting harder and harder to find nice wool sweaters like this on the market, so I'm glad that these are available!

This is a sweater that I feel comfortable wearing in both formal and informal settings. It's surprisingly light for how much insulation it provides.

The size large is just a wee bit snug in the chest, but otherwise fits well well through the body and sleeve length. Looking forward to many years of this sweater keeping me warm.

Very good, heavy wool sweater. I usually wear a large, but this fits a bit bigger than the usual fit I get with a large.

Beautiful garment, LT fit is accurate, nice soft color, and wonderful quality wool. There was just a little loose thread (center front) that needed to be mended.

Beautiful sweaters, well-crafted. A bit on the large size - my mediums are bigger than most mediums, but, because they're wool, they may shrink a bit even though they'll be hand-washed.

I am exchanging this sweater because the "saddle" color is awful. I wish I had ordered the "teal" but now it is sold out -- always appreciate a choice of brighter, fun colors. The rating reflects the somewhat scratchy wool, not the color.

Nice, thick wool sweater but does shrink with each wash (and I always wash on delicate, cold, in a mesh bag, with Laundress wool detergent). So while it runs large, you want to order at least your normal size to allow for shrinkage. Not sure if eventually it will get too small for wear (it's definitely not Icebreaker wool -- but it is a beautiful sweater). Also pills under the arms but that should be fixable with a sweater stone.

Great sweater and warm! Fits slightly large. I recommend.

Overall I am pleased with this sweater even though I would be more satisfied if it was more tightly woven. It is ragg wool so I don't expect it to be lamb's wool soft so it works best for me with a bean long sleeve t-shirt underneath.

Beautiful quality and great warmth. Runs about a size larger than expected. Had to exchange to get a proper fit. I am usually a M/L in most items but had to go with a small in this sweater.

This was a Christmas gift for my husband. He is always cold so a warm LL Bean sweater is welcome. The rag wool crew sweater is a heavy warm sweater. Color is Saddle. He noticed after the first wearing the sweater pilled. Ordered in his usual XL size is right on. The collar was a welcome change.
