My husband loves this sweater! Warm comfy and can be worn indoors as well as for outdoor warmth under a jacket or vest. Runs large. Wish it came in black as well as other colors.

This is my most comfortable & versatile sweater. It's fantastic as a layering piece. Surprisingly soft for a pure wool garment, great for both office wear and relaxing at home. It's a bit bulky, certainly meant to fit over one or two other layers. I ordered the medium, but if I order in another color I'll likely go with the small; the medium fits me the way that large or even extra-large shirts would.

My husband loves the wool sweater. It is just the right weight for the fairly chilly winter we are having and fits him perfectly. Please don't discontinue. It is hard to find a classic crew neck sweater anymore. Its all just stupid hoodies and sweatshirts.

My husband couldn't be more delighted with his sweater. He really wants one in every color. It looks marvelous on him, and he does have a girth. Great purchase!

Really great sweater. I usually wear medium but i decided to try small on this and glad i did because it fit just right. I love the color and fit. Works really well in winter months.

Third sweater I have gotten; this one a large as I have lost weight. Love the look and feel of this warm sweater.

It was like old times as I remember a sweater ought to be. I had ordered a large thinking that in China 160 lb labor worker is really a little guy, but nope. A large is LARGE! I had to reorder and request a medium. It fit like a glove and was soooo warm. Bottom lineothers may advertise a large but they're aimed at a 16 year old. LL Bean says large...IT IS. BTW, the medium got a lot of compliments.

Bought XL Tall for my tall & thin body with 36" arms. Awesome look & quality but body was huge and its bottom edge extended 3 or 4 inches below the bottom edge of my lengthy down jacket. Sleeves were perfect, extending an inch or two below my wrists. Shoulder "drops" were perfect, neither too snug nor too droopy off my shoulder edges. Exchanged for Large Tall. A++ solution! Body roomy but not baggy. Bottom edge aligns with lengthy down jacket. Sleeves & shoulder drops perfect, almost identical to XLTall. LOVING this sweater every Chicago night!

Really nice sweater. I received several compliments on it (well, from my wife and my female eye doctor, but still) and I am 75 and by no means good looking. Nice and soft and warm.

Just the right fit for a tall man without a belly! I was so glad to find a medium tall sweater for my husband. He loves the fit and says its soft and warm. I got the navy which is dark, came back for the gray. He likes the crew neck. Good weight alone, under a down vest or jacket. Worth the money!

I'm 71, 6 ft, around 225lbs kinda broad in the shoulders, fairly long arms and a little bit of a gut. With regular size shirts, T's and sweaters they always ride up at or above the belt line which I detest. So I usually order the tall size to give my ample belly a little room. This sweater fits perfect. Long but not too long, sleeves have a little extra in case you have longer than 35 inches or otherwise big guns. Thinking of ordering another in charcoal. The one thing you need to do with these kind of sweaters is keep them OUT of the dryer. Hang them across something or use your wife's sweater rack to dry. Run them through a dryer and it will be ruined. Trust me on this.

Had some trouble with Bean wool jacket, arms way to long, bulky. Not so with sweaters. This and the wool hoodie they sell pretty much perfect on all counts. The wool is averagely thick and tightly woven. Fit great.

Had many ragg wool items back in the script-label era (1980s), including one of these sweaters. This new one is as good as that one was.

Very happy with the sweater comfortable warm .

This is the best heavy duty sweater I have bought in years. Fits me well. This wool is not very itchy. Very warm, but does the usual wool good job of keeping the heat spread out smoothly all over under the garment. I sometimes put this over LL Bean two layer wool undergarment and the two of those together is like slipping under a warm winter quilt. On top of being a great sweater regardless of price this one is quite good looking and reasonably priced. I recommend it highly.

My husband likes it. It's a little long but he's a little short. However, he really misses the Shetland Wool crew neck sweaters from previous years that are no longer available. Those were a better weight and nicer. I hope someone from LlBean purchasing dept. reads this!

My husband seems to be always cold so when he got this sweater his day was made! It is made well and fits perfectly as well as looking handsome on! A true buy!

I love this sweater. Nice and warm, perfect for winter wear. Medium-to-heavy weight. Not as heavy as my LL Bean "Norwegian" but perfect for wear around the house and to the office.

I have been wearing Ragg sweaters since I was a kid. (As I write this, I am wearing one.) They are warm, durable, and look great on me. My only wish is that they came in more colors because I would buy them all.

Nice sweater

I love this sweater and the blue colors are beautiful. I'm a woman wearing a man's medium and the arms are a little long, but I just turn up the sleeves and they're fine. Please produce this style in woman's sizes and in more colors!
