Purchased for my husband. He loves it! He usually wears a XL for length, but the L worked just fine for him.

I just picked up a few of these sweaters to replace some elbow worns and have to say they are perfect for winter in New England. I imagine some might complain that the body and sleeve length of a medium tall might be too long but I find the dimensions perfect for my 5'10" light weight frame. Itchy? Wear it over a long sleeve shirt with a collar and you'll be fine, or buy fleece or cotton and shiver.

A classic LL Bean sweater that is superbly comfortable!

I am a long-time customer of LL Bean because of the quality and true fit of its clothing. The wool sweater .about which I am commenting, is warm, stylish and above all, (if it matches previous purchases) will be in my wardrobe for years. I like the sweater as it is "timeless" in its style. I have several similar sweaters and LL quality enables me to wear 'em for many years. I have one minor complaint which is really more of a request. PLEASE bring back a choice of solid color wool cardigans! I am NOT a "lightning bolt" or mod design fan. I know that a segment of your customers are, but when you're a stodgy, 83-year old, please enable us to dress in quality garments that are offered in subdued colors.. :-)

My husband has always had an aversion to "mail order,' but once we got the right size, he wanted two. He was impressed not only with the quality of the product, but with the customer service.

The L.L. Bean sweaters are the best. Warm and durable. You can't find these pure-wool sweaters anywhere else in my experience.

Awesome sweater! It keeps me warm and is most comfortable. At first I was disappointed that I couldn't purchase a black sweater but now I am thankful to have a more colorful sweater to wear. If you are a female, don't hesitate to buy it. You can't tell that it is a man's sweater.

I live in West Virginia. It's cold this time of year. I ordered two classic wool sweaters from L.L. Bean recently. Perfect! Great style, great fit, and best of all, super warm. Highly recommended!

Medium fits perfect, very comfortable, warm and stylish.

This only arrived a few weeks ago, but just in time for hard January weather and it has performed well! It's a nice heavy weight and large enough for a couple of layers beneath making it very toasty when needed and breathable while inside. At 5'7" and 150 lbs the medium was the right size. I'm looking forward to several years of enjoying this sweater.

This is a very warm, fairly heavy duty sweater. I live in Maine, so warm to me means going outside comfortably (for a little while) in just this sweater when it's 20.

Long sleeve underneath required. I wore this in ~10 degree weather with a windbreaker and was WARM. Good for outdoor activities. Little itchy around the elbows.

I've been looking for a sweater like this for awhile. I love it. Fits great and just the right thickness to stay warm but not to heavy.
