I bought this sweater for my son (20), partly out of nostalgia ... we all wore them in the 80s. Thankfully and somewhat to my surprise, my son loves it just as much or more.

I had a Bean's classic rag wool sweater many years ago and when I recently wanted to add a warm sweater to my wardrobe this is what came to mind. The classic fit warmth and style is just as I remembered. What a great purchase.

Warm classic sweater. Womens didn't come in tall, sleeves were too short so I ordered mens and it's great.

Comfortable and Warm. I got xtra large. Used to get medium. They changed vendors thru Covid and size changed.

Really warm. Fits nicely. Recommended. Got size medium. Got the natural color.

I got the dark gray, love it. Im 5' 10", 210 lbs and i got an XL. Fits great plenty of room for a long sleeve underneath.

Bean's men's raggwool crewneck sweater is perfect for both men and women. I inherited one from my dad, in size small, and in a beautiful Heather blue color made in Scotland. I've worn it for years, and will continue to enjoy it. I am a woman and order size small. I love wearing it underneath my LL Bean Three Season Jacket. It is wonderfully warm and comfortable. I bought this sweater in rust orange. It is a beautiful color, especially in the autumn!

First products I've purchased from LL Bean. Not disappointed in the two sweaters. The Classic Ragwool Crew Neck is thicker than expected and great for wearing with jeans and a T shirt underneath. It fit a little tighter than I wanted, but after reading the other reviews, I'm glad I ordered it one size larger. I will be ordering other sweaters from LL Bean

Love this sweater! So nice and so warmtrue to size.

Some things are virtually perfect and little can be done to improve upon them. The L.L. Bean Classic Ragg Wool Crewneck is among those. There should be a photo of this sweater next to "perfection" in the dictionary. Versatility is a hallmark: it looks great on its own or under a jacket or corduroy or tweed blazer. 100% lambswool (wool is durable, retains its insulating properties when damp better than any other material, and is biodegradable), perfectly proportioned and tailored, and supremely comfortable, this is a wonderful sweater.

I couldn't be more pleased. Fits my broad shoulders, thin build and long torso perfectly. Meets all expectations for fit. Thickness will do, though not as durable as the commando sweater. My only recommendation is that Beans will offer the ragg wool sweater with reinforced elbow patches soon.

Gave this as a gift to my husband, he loved it. This was a replacement to an old sweater that he'd just worn out everywhere-- neck, sleeves, elbows (already patched). I know this will be a bit hit too.

I wore this sweater in college, late 70s. Recently purchased a new one. It's still the perfect ragg wool sweater. Fits great. Does not itch. I chose the natural color for nostalgic reasons. Warm in winter. Highly recommend this.

This is a very nice warm and comfortable sweater. It does run a little large, I normally wear an extra-large, but I was able to wear a large. Not a problem, as I was able to try it on at an LL Bean Outlet store before ordering..

It's the classic I had many moons ago. Simple, strait forward, and well made.

This is my first of two (other being the cashmere V neck) LL Bean sweaters. I am 5'10 at 190 lbs with wide shoulders, so I ordered size Large after reading some reviews. I usually have to order XL because I do not like the sleeves riding up my arms. The size is perfect, hope it stays this size after cleaning. This sweater is thicker than expected, so I will see if it's too warm for Texas Winters. Well made product and soft for wool. I will be purchasing other LL Bean products.

Very warm, not scratchy and fits pretty true to size. I'm 6 feet and an athletic 200 lbs, bought an xl fits nicely, large was a just a little too tight for my preference, great color too. Highly recommend for cold days and nights in central Massachusetts.

Nothing fancy, just plain LL Bean great old fashion quality for which they gained their reputation on. When I attended college in Maine we would go to LL Beans when it was run out of the factory. A sweater like this is what we would yearn for. Just a great sweater that will get you through a New England winter.

I love these sweaters! I purchased a new one as I am a bit larger now. They are warm, comfortable and stylish. I feel they are a great value for a wool sweater.
