This is the kind of sweater that you can wear on a cool morning because it is heavy and warm, but it breathes enough that in the afternoon when it warms up you can still wear it. My big flannels can fit over it without that bunched up feeling. It's knit well and feels like a sweater that will last. It's soft and can be worn comfortably without a shirt underneath. Overall a great sweater.

This type of sweater is a real Bean's classic, very well made and looks fabulous. The coloring seems to reflect nuances of soft shading adding to its beauty. I did return the crew in favor of the shawl collar one and am very happy with it. Get the cider color but don't wear it in my neighborhood in Maine.

I was shocked when I opened the package and took this out! (In a good way) This shirt must weigh 2 lbs! You could feel the quality! I don't normally love sweaters but this one feels so perfect. 6'5" 240lbs and an XL Tall feels just right. I want other colors!
