I received a pair of these PJ's as a Christmas gift. They are very comfortable and the fit (small/regular) is good. I liked them so much that I ordered a second pair. Unfortunately, the second pair does not fit well at all, even though the label says "small/regular." The pant legs are a good 2" longer that the first pair and the sleeves are an inch longer. Overall, the second pair is much larger than the first pair. They may have been mislabeled by the manufacturer or quality control failed. Whatever the reason - I am returning the second pair..

Have owned a number of scotch plaid flannel pajamas from LL Bean through the years. I have always loved the product. However, the latest pair I purchased are nowhere as comfortable or plush as in the past. The material is noticeably thinner and not as warm as in the past. Quite disappointing.

I will start out with the fact that I love LL Bean apparel. I got a set of women's pjs for Christmas but they didn't have pockets so I returned them with the goal of getting the women version of these pjs. Only problem is that they were sold out of my size in all colors. In addition the women top doesn't really fit great as the shoulders and sleeves were too small. So instead I figured I would try out the mens and they fit SO MUCH BETTER! When I originally tried them on they were much too big, but once I washed and dried them they were perfect. My only complaint is that the cuffs of the sleeves are ginormous. The women version has buttons on the cuffs and I wish these did too because if they did they would be absolutely PERFECT.

Great feel but a shirt button popped less than a month of wearing the product

Gave these to my Father In Law (a nearly constant size L) for Christmas. He said the pants were a bit small, but the top was so large he was swimming in it. So bummed. Really wanted him to have these for the winter.

In order to fit waist for 38 inches, I had to order bigger than I wanted. Sleeves and bottom lengths were too long. Also, poor design at top with collar not fitting well. above top button.

The large size was too big in length and shirt width. The medium was perfect in width and length but the waist band is extremely tight. My waste is just a 36 " so I am not fat. (6'1", 167 lbs) I think the elastic waist sizing is inconsistent with the other measures of these pajamas.

It would be nice if one could buy the tops and the bottoms separately. The XL top is fine but the bottoms are too long. If buy the large the top is too tight Seems ridiculous to need to have a tailor to fit such an item.

I have several pairs of LL Bean pajamas and like the colors and quality of the fabrics. This pair was no exception for those attributes. I had to return this pair because the sleeves on the top were a couple of inches to long, which hasn't been the case in the past, and the bottoms were 4" too long. I generally have to shorten the bottoms a little but never the top, which caused me to sadly return the pajamas.

The tartan is lovely, but the fit is not. One leg is a little longer than the other. The sleeves are also too long. The elastic at the waist is uncomfortably snug...it left a mark around my husband's waist. It also shed a lot of lint. My husband likes the plaid well enough that he is keeping the pajamas, but he would not buy another set from llBean.

Good try LL, but my two cents: put one additional button on the tops of the pajamas, so the neck closes up and gives a little more warmth. I would also like a hanging loop on the tops; The loop and the extra button would be great but if I'm forced to settle for one (but I rather settle for two) I'd take the button. The bottoms were way too long me and I had to take them to be altered and the tops needed the sleeves to be made a bit shorter. So, finally a good fit, but the button and loop . . . Otherwise they are good comfortable pajamas. Would I recommend them? Yes, but you may need to have them altered or that's just my problem.

When I washed and dried these the fuzz factor was crazy. Fuzz got all over all the other clothes in the washer and the dryer was completely full of fuzz. They felt amazing, but what a mess.

They're nice pajamas. They're soft, and feel really great on, but they're sooooo ridiculously oversized it takes away from the overall quality of the set. I would like them to be loose fitting but this takes that to the next extreme. The idea has merit..... but like so many LL Bean products if you aren't a particularly stout male its not so good for you.

These are fine for sleeping or lounging around by yourself. Not so fine if you want to wear them while entertaining a guest of the oppostie sex.

We have bought many pairs of these pj's in the past and they were the best! This pair fit poorly- more like clothing than pj's. My husband always wears a small, and these were way too tight. Also, the flannel seems to be much thinner and poorer quality than in the past.

Beautiful color and comfortable material. However, the short fiber cotton used to make these pajamas resulted in excessive "pilling" when laundered according to the manufacturers tag instructions "Machine wash warm with like colors". Everything else in the laundry load was covered in blue-black pills. Successive loads were'nt as bad but also were not pill free. I dry them hung on line oudoors. At this price point, I'd expected better.

I have been buying these pajamas for many years and don't like the recent changes. The waist tie-cord is just a nuisance when the bottoms have a good elastic band. I'll cut off the tie-cord. The bottoms have two side pockets, which are unnecessary. I feel that you have added features that just run up the price, but add nothing of value. The extra button is sewn into the back seam on the bottoms. This is not a comfortable place to put a spare button.

These are comfortable but have washed them seven times and they still are shedding lint. You leave a trail when you walk with the little lint pieces falling off. Hope by the time they quit shedding they will have come cloth left. Am disappointed with the quality of the flannel.

Warmth and comfort fine. Top fits well. Bottoms are four inches too long and waist is too tight. I would need to be 6' 2" and 160 for them to fit. The stomach I am working on but I am not going to be taller.

I've come to expect better fabric than this from LL Bean; the seams barely leave a selvage, making the fit is correspondingly snug. Am returning.

The PJs are warm but they are creating black pills which come off on sheets, floor, other closes and please don't wash them with any other clothes as they will be covered in little black pills of the flannel.

Royal Stewart tartan is too muted. There is a women's flannel shirt in the catalog that is much more vibrant. The pajamas are generously sized. The pants are the baggiest sleep pants I've ever owned. The construction looks good. The fabric is soft. Like many flannel garments, this throws off a lot of lint the first few washings. No noticeable shrink. Would I recommend? If you're ok with a loose fit and the price, sure.

My husband was very pleased with these pajamas when they were new, however I just washed them for the cooler season and he is complaining of considerable shrinkage. Even the length of the arms are much shorter. They have only been worn 2 winter seasons. I do have proof of purchase and hope to be able to return them.

The product and material looked and felt very nice but I ordered the same size I have for the shirts and the pajamas were actually cut noticeably SMALLER, especially through the chest and upper arms. So much so that they the top was tight and restricting (even though the regular shirt size fits well) and I had to return the item. This miscue was magnified by the fact that one generally expects pajamas to be cut larger and feel looser than regular shirts. The item was returned and not replaced.
