It wasn't soft, even after washing. It was scratchy. It fit well.

I was exchanging for a smaller size of the terry cloth robe and instead you sent me a dress shirt.

I bought this robe for my husband two years ago for Christmas. The whole tie became unraveled after washing it several times. I had to take binding and fight my sewing machine to encase the tie to prevent further unraveling. They skimped on the seam allowance to cheap out. It wasn't cheap either. Ridiculous

Not worth the value for the product. Unfortunately it came in with pulls all over it.

I bought this in Nov of '24 and already looks like it's gone through a meat grinder.

I purchased a bathrobe about 11 years ago from L L Bean and it was amazing. I needed a new bath robe and ordered another and I was super dissapointedt with the quality. It wasn't as plush and thick and the one I had previously purchased. I sent it back.

Never received the robe. I received someone else's monogrammed robe instead.

First time LLBean customer. Feels like a cheap $7 towel. Thin, not soft to touch, scratchy, doesn't feel like it's worth the over $100 price tag at ALL. I wanted to splurge on something "luxurious" and it feels like an italian restaurant napkin. I regret not listening to the bad reviews that said the same thing. Returning ASAP.

Bought this to replace an old one of the same product. What a step down! The old terry cloth robes were high-quality terry cloth with a lush, heavy feel and super cozy. This fabric is much more light weight, a looser weave, and just cheap-feeling. Not even close to the original. Luckily Land's End still has a heavy weight product.

I bought this for my husband, and this robe is too hard and stiff. I washed it numerous times, and the material was just too abrasive. I will only buy in-store to feel the material first.

Obviously, you don't keep in touch with your own order system. This item is being exchanged and is in a back order status till 'JULY'! WAKE UP AND SMELL THE ROSES!!!

After only 3 years of very minimal wear one of the pockets is already coming apart at the seams. I don't mind paying higher prices for quality... but, the quality definitely seems to be lacking in LLB products these days. For what they last, I may as well get something for half the cost. I looked at a replacement and they're now $40 more than what I paid for the one that's falling apart.

Fabric on the collar wore to a fuzz in just a couple weeks. This robe is considerably heavier weight wise.

For me, this was an expensive robe, and the fact that the material frays so easily is just disappointing. I've had it for a week, and I've had to get the scissors out to trim all of the frayed strings that keep appearing. It's not like I'm chopping wood in this thing; I'm sitting on the sofa. The quality is really lacking.

I bought this robe last November and every time I touch the material, little threads of the terry pull out and at this point there are probably 30 pulled threads and I'm on my way to a thousand of them I explect better from LL Bean. Not sure how this snuck by them.

I bought this robe one year ago for my husband and found it very poor quality. It looks very worn, but my husband is careful with his clothing. He does not live in his robe. The fabric is full of pills and pulled threads. I take care to wash in cold water, line dry. I was offered to send it back for inspection. I would just say it is not good value.

I wanted White,not blue. Purchased 2 white terry cloth robes from you previously. They were xxl.They fit well. This blue robe,also xxl is too large,it's like wearing a rug.

Would not buy again and sad I did. This robe for my husband never gets used. It arrived stiff and I thought with washing it multiple times it would soften. It hasn't after 20 washes. Normally, I am pleased with all purchases except this one.

I never write reviews however So disappointed with this robe ! Hardly worn and fabric is wearing to the point fraying. My husband's last LLB robe lasted over 10 years! Wish the fabric didn't change. I tried to include photo but wouldn't upload.

"More substantial than our previous" blah blah blah. My first LLB Terry cloth robe lasted a decade. This one not even 10 months. What has happened to this company???

I bought this robe to replace one is had for many years. The LL Bean robe is fraying and fading unevenly. I would not recommend this product, it's uncharacteristic for an LL Bean product, most items I have purchased from LL Bean last about a decade.

Very disappointed with this robe. Purchased for a birthday gift and after one single wash the robe has significant polling and looks old. Very unhappy with the cost for the product I received.

I purchased this type of organic cotton terrycloth robe from LL Bean years ago and it held up great. I decided I wanted a second robe and my wife bought me this current version of the product about a year ago for Christmas. The material of this current version is very inferior to the old version. The threads started pulling out of the fabric within months of use. Other reviewers have complained about the same issue. I would advise customers to NOT PURCHASE this version of the robe Item # TA507439. The old version of this robe that has held up great for many years without any issues is Item ID 284832. LL Bean: Please go back to using the same material that was used in Item ID 284832. When you do I will happily buy one. Until then I guess I will need to look elsewhere for a quality terrycloth robe. I have bought many LL Bean products over the years and have been happy with the quality of all except for this robe.

Absolutely horrendous, for the first time buying from L.L. bean I will say that I will never buy again. I was expecting high quality for the price, but when the item arrived a bunch if the threads on this terry cloth material were coming apart before we even tried it on and used it, so when I saw that it immediately went back into the box for return. Can you imagine what it would've looked like if it was actually used for a long time? This is a very expensive bath robe and I had a much higher expectation for it. It unfortunately let me down.
