I would rate the construction of this robe very good; however, the robe is so heavy. I must return it because of the weight and too large.

They are falling apart after just 3 washes
Purchased in January and these did not even hold up for 6 months
I expected better quality from LLBean

The good news: the robe is comfy. The bad news; after 3 weeks, the fabric is pulling threads out all over, like a cheap towel. Makes the robe look cheap. You'd think LL Bean products would be more durable. Nope.

I had to return the first one because of the wearing out around the collar after only a very few week.
It was replaced and after wearing the replaced robe for a little over two weeks the same thing is happening. I plan on taking it back to the store for a refund. Not happy as it is an expensive robe.

The robe is nice, but the embroidery was placed way too high it's practically on the shoulder.

Robe very stiff and heavy, my husband just put it back in box and stored it in the closet. Could I return it?

I ordered a medium sized robe, and it is HUGE! I'm 5'5", 155lb and it was far too long in overall length and on the sleeves. Also very loose around body. Beautiful, plush fabric but I'll have to return it.

Nice heavy robe, but pulls very easily. Bonus that you can throw it in the wash, though.

I bought this to wear to and from an outdoor hot tub, which I adjust pH and alkalinity while wearing. Over time the cuffs and various other spots have become markedly discolored by the splashes from the chemicals. This didn't happen with my prior Bean robe which was a coarser type of Terry cloth
(color: bluish green)

This robe even in a medium size is big and bulky. The garment is thick and heavy. I live in central Ohio which doesn't get all that cold or snowy on average. I would have chosen a lighter-weight robe. In the future, I will go out to the local LLBean store and not use the catalog.

While the robe fits nicely and is comfortable, it's already showing signs of wear (fraying) after less than a month. I had hoped for more, particularly given the price of the item.

I ordered this as a Christmas gift for my husband. He wore it for a couple of weeks but gave up on it because it's just too heavy and bulky for him. He especially didn't like trying to shave when he had it on because he said it was like wearing a turtleneck. It's also difficult to launder because of its weight taking up almost an entire load in the wash and then requiring a long time in the dryer.

The robe itself is very nice, however, the monogram work is terrible. I could have done it home and it would have come out better. I like the robe but wish I would have gotten it without the monogram, it looks cheap now. I ordered 2 and both were done poorly.

I purchased this navy terrycloth robe in Men's Medium, as I wanted a substantial weight robe for winter and most women's robes are not as warm. I loved it for the first month and a half, but then the fabric began showing a substantial amount of wear patterns, pilling, loose threads, etc. (I only washed it twice.) For an $89 robe, I cannot believe the poor fabric quality and lack of longevity, especially from LL Bean. I am sadly returning the robe.

I bought this robe for my husband for Christmas and am so disappointed with the quality. It is covered with thread pulls, areas of pilling, and is definitely not soft. This robe has lasted for years in the past but this one already looks old and tacky after only 1 1/2 months!
Won't be buying the next one from LL Bean.

When I first received this robe I couldn't have been more pleased. It's heavy weight, and soft to the touch. However, after only 2 months the loops on the collar started to literally shred into strands of fabric! Then I noticed that this was starting to happen on other areas of the body of the robe. An entirely unsatisfactory purchase!

I purchased size M and the robe did have an M on the label but it was huge. The sleeves, supposed to be 32 - 33 inches, were so long only my finger tips were showing, so at least 4 inches longer than they were supposed to be.

I bought this terry robe in navy and paid $100+. Within a few months it started to show wear: abrasions pulls and pilling. Now a couple of years in it's trash. This was a replacement for husband's previous LLBEAN robe which was navy terrycloth with tiny white check pattern. It was over 12 years old and it looked better when I donated it than this newer one does now. It had some pulls which could be trimmed and heavy wear on the cuff edges. No abrasions at all. Extremely disappointed with the poor quality fabric.

Nice cotton, but incorrect sizing. I wear a large, ordered it-way too big. Ordered a medium, way too large. I paid 2x for shipping and originally used a gift card from 2 years ago when i had ordered the same robe. L.L. Bean should have caught incorrect labeling or sizing years ago.

I bought this robe two months ago and it now looks like it's 20 years old. Out of the bag it had several loose threads which only worsened. The pilling and fuzzing made it look even worse. I am very disappointed in this robe and literally threw it out tonight. Duluth has the best robe ever!!! I just got one to replace this. Definitely do not waste your money.

After the first wash, the seams on the belt just came apart, and the belt split.
