This is the latest in an evolving line of fleece/insulated jac/shirts offered by Beans, and the best yet for warmth. I like the lined sleeves for less drag when used as an overshirt/jac, the shearling is super warm and comfy, I like the open top pockets with no flaps, I like the snap closures instead of buttons, and I like the side handwarmer pockets. The only thing I would change would be to have two snaps at the cuffs, not just one.

Impressive: the elbos are reinforced (didn't expect that) and the shirt did not shrink after machine drying; expected it would. The pocket pattern blends perfectly with the pattern of the shirt. LL Bean shirts are reliably loose fitting; the shirt description "slightly fitted" means the shirt fits as one would expect a small/ med/ large to fit a small/ med/ large person; no layering under this shirt. And layering is not necessary, the shirt is wonderfully warm. As one person noted the breast pockets would only improve with greater depth and flaps to hold a cell phone.

My husband is cold all fall and winter and he loves this sherpa-lined shirt. For fall it works as a light jacket

Extremely happy with my purchase. I bought every brand I could find. Duluth, carhartt, and many others. This is the softest and warmest out of them all. If you want a warm button up shirt look no further!

Love the new shirt, warm and cozy, snaps are a huge plus. My wife likes hers too. Perfect for the cold snap we're having it's loose enough to wear over a thin sweater and a heater.

I've had a dark green corduroy sherpa lined for at least 6 years. It's fantastic from 58 degrees to 20 degrees. Looks good, feels good, easy and always available. Looking for a blue with no luck. Great jacket, love the pockets. All jackets need a phone pocket....why not yet?

This shirt is really warm and comfortable. Great to wear around the house on colder days. I tend to keep it unbuttoned and wear it as an overshirt. I used this one day in the winter when it was cold and windy with only a t-shirt on underneath and it kept me really warm. It's a great shirt. The only con is that it runs pretty big. I'm usually an XL with shirts and jackets, but this XL was way too big for me so I went down to large and it fits great.

This is a great product. I bought a Large Tall - I have a 36" sleeve length, and it fits perfectly. I have worn this shirt in mountain snows and gentle winds with great warmth. It's handier than throwing on a jacket. I love it.

I was trying to order the original lined black swatch llbean shirt. I couldn't find it on the website. This is a very nice, warm shirt, but too warm for what I was looking for.

This is his second one, so this review is for his first. He ordered the tall due to long arms so the length of the body is too much, but the sleeve length is just right! Very cozy and warm, the snaps are perfect for easy removal. The garment washes well and with line drying has shown no signs of shrinking or the lining getting stiff.

It's so much nicer than those cheap looking fuzzy fleece ones I see people wearing nowadays. Warm and comfy and soft. Nicer sherpa. Has snaps! Doesn't shrink and curl up in the back when laundered. Large was too big, re-ordered Medium. Fits perfect!

Bought it for my husband and he was very happy. He had an older one that he wore ALL the time. He loves the warmth and we know it will last a long time.

I bought this shirt/jacket for one of my teen sons who requested a lined flannel shirt for Christmas. He wears it as an over shirt/jacket. Another son liked it after seeing his brother's and we bought a second one for him in a different color. He's in college and wears it around campus, also as a jacket of sorts. Based on how often I see them wearing it, I'd say the shirts are a hit.
They wash well. Both boys are about 5'9 or 10" and slim. (~145-150 lbs). The medium fits both boys as an over "jacket" without being too tight or too bulky. They usually wear them partly unsnapped if they have a shirt underneath (more as a style - they could snap them if they wanted to).

I like to wear layers in the Winter, so this is a great during fairy cold days with a couple of other shirts that I bought from Bean. Keeps me nicely warm and the fit is excellent. Some folks aren't too keen with the snaps, but for me they are an excellent convenience. I have two of these and they are well made and wash up just fine. I do agree with some other reviewers who wish that they came in a better variety of colors.
