During winter, I wear this as a second layer over a t-shirt, and it works fine and looks sharp. I'm betting when spring comes I could wear it by itself and still be happy.

I love this shirt! I bought a size that was way too large for me on purpose. I put it in the wash as per instructions and then went ahead and put it in the hot dryer. NOT in the instructions but I know a bit about wool and knew it would felt a bit and get smaller. It did and it is "just right" - still roomy and the sleeves are a bit long but that is so much better than too short. I will not be putting it in the dryer again. I did think the fabric was thinner than I anticipated but the felting made it feel thicker, I think. I love the deep reddish color. Overall a nice addition to my winter wardrobe.

I love this shirt. This is my second one. Just remember "it will shrink in the dryer." One of my favorites, warm.

Over the past few years I've purchased about 8 LL Beam shirt, love them all! I'm quite happy with the fit and quality of this shirt my only disappointment is I couldn't find any additional colors in my size over a period of 2 or 3 months. Not sure if they only make a certain number and then discontinue a model/style or not, but is frustrating.

I recently moved from Houston to Denver, and bought one of these, thinking it'd be a good bet against the cold. After trying it, I quickly bought 3 more, and they've become favorites. Soft, warm, and versatile -- I'm a big fan.

I loved this shirt so much I ordered a second one. Saving up for a third! I love that it is made in Nova Scotia.

This has been a great daily wear Henley. True to size, super comfortable. I wish there were more colors....

This is my second two layer river driver shirt. It is incredible! The two layers are perfect for fall and cold New England winters. The perfect layer for late fall football and soccer games, especially night games where it is usually around 30 degrees. Super durable, rugged, yet soft on the skin. You won't go wrong with this shirt!

The River Driver is a favorite at our house, my husband has worn them for years. And now our sons are wearing them.

Warm. Good fit. A warmer version of however you wear a henley

I've been wearing these shirts during the winter months for almost 25 years. They hold up well wash after wash, year after year. Always my first layer when snow blowing.

We've tried other makers, but the fit and workmanship of LL Bean is simply the best.

I have been buying these river driver shirts for many years and find them to be really comfortable and warm for the South Dakota weather. The only problem I have had is when I ordered a large reg and should have ordered a large tall. Still was able to wear it. Still do. Would like to see them made in a regular shirt rather then a Henley.

Great fit and feel. I wanted a wool-ish warm shirt but not a scratchy one and this is what I got. I was also concerned about the fit beforehand. It is snug but not too snug -- just right. I have long arms and they fit perfectly. I have ordered talls from LL Bean before, but the torso is usually way too long for my liking. This regular shirt fits torso and my arms well. I just ordered another one in navy blue and will order the green one when it is in stock. (Also, I am not one to give 5 stars on much but feel inclined this time.)

I bought these shirts for my 3 boys and they were all delighted with them. It is a great shirt for when a jacket is too warm and a t-shirt is not enough.

This henley is incredibly comfy, just right for the weather in Northern California in wintertime. The fit is just right, very soft and obviously good quality . Much better than other shirts I have purchased from other retailers- this one will last!

I purchased two for my son-in-law for Christmas for the last few years (per his request), and for his birthday. He absolutely loves these shirts, please keep making them!

I always buy the River Driver shirts as gifts for the males in my life.
