This is the kind of winter shirt and layer I have been looking for. Thanks to my loving wife for buying me one for my birthday. I've since bought two more. So comfortable and warm to wear in the house. Goodbye fleece, goodbye sweatshirts. I can't express how much I love these shirts.

This winter, I have used these shirts as my daily undergarment. They are Warm (40% will on the outside) and comfortable (Cotton inside). I own two, one more on the way, and may order a 4th. This summer, it may be my go-to outerwear for boating on not-so-warm days.

I now have 4 River Driver's shirts; obviously, I love them. My XLs are true to fit. Soft and warm next to the body. Put a heavy wool sweater over these, and cold weather will not bother you.

I've had mine for around thirty years, it's performed well beyond expectations. It's a lightweight and flexible pullover that has kept me very warm in 38-48 degree temperatures. With a fleece pullover on top it's the warmest combination I've ever experienced. I'm ordering a replacement only because I brushed against some wet paint while wearing it, and after thirty years it's time to retire it. I highly recommend this item. (the only other item of clothing that I've had for over thirty years is my L.L. Bean parka!)

Many years ago they called this shirt duo fold I loved it. Really comfe and durable and it is the perfict layer on the coldest of days. Im going to get another one.

There is simply no substitute for the River Driver Shirt--and for that reason I wish LLBean would make them for women as well as men. I had to order a S which is hardly small enough, but I wear it like a sweater under jackets and around the house, though it looks a bit silly. PLEASE MAKE THESE IN WOMEN'S AND PETITE SIZES!! They are worth every penny and last for years.

Can't get enough of the River Driver's Shirt - the warmest, coziest of all. Keeps me from feeling winter drafts. Nothing else keeps me as warm. Love the colors, fabric strength, quality. Bought these 25 years ago, and am restocking. Wish some of the colors weren't sold out!

Fits good, but it did shrink a bit in the washing.

These are awesome shirts, I own 7. It's a great fit although it does shrink a little over time. The shrinkage is not so bad I can't wear it. My other long sleeve jerseys are slowly heading for the back of the drawer. I would like to see a white one and a purple one.

I've been buying this shirt for years and love them, especially for winter. The merino wool makes them toasty and comfortable, and the quality is just as good now as it was when I bought my first more years ago than I can remember (ex. 40 percent wool then and 40 percent now)! Can't go wrong with this one!

I love this shirt for winter wear, I now have 3 of them. They fit well, are warm and comfortable. They are line dried after washing but that isn't an issue. I strongly recommend this shirt.

My go to shirt for cool and cold weather. Great around the house by itself and superb when layering. Cotton layers keep you itch free and wool keeps you warm. Very comfortable a real favorite with me.

As usual, all of the products from LL Bean are top-drawer! They wear an extra long time, years, and are so easy to take care. Buy it, wear it, and you will come back to the "BEST", LL Bean!!

It is my husband's to go anywhere shirt. He has them in multiple colors. They are the best for cooler weather. They are warm but don't overheat. Our sons have at least two of them. I wish llbean returned a women's version back. Wash it according to the instructions, don't dry in the dryer and enjoy all year round ;)

This is my "go to" shirt all winter long. I also love it while flying as I get cold on airplanes. I buy several and wear them out after many years. They launder well. I lost a ton of weight (well, not quite a ton) and needed smaller shirts, so I replenished the stock. Still great quality. I got one that was clearly mislabeled, but I made it work. These dual layer shirts are awesome.

Glad I ordered this substantial henley! It is a great color and weight. The fit is just right, too. And then there is LL Bean quality. What's not to like.

We love these two-layer Henleys! They fit well, they're so soft and comfortable, and they keep us warm. We have several of them and will probably buy more.

Given as Christmas gift. Husband really likes this shirt. Wants another one, different color. He is a golfer, plays in cold weather. Says this shirt really feels great. Keeps him warm and comfortable. First time he has had a shirt he likes this much.

Winters in Wisconsin are cold and these 2 layer wool henleys are great. Warm, true to size(he wears the XX Large Tall-really long which he likes) and very comfortable. My husband has 3 of them and wants more...even if they are the same color!!

This is my husband's favorite go to shirt. It's warm, comfortable, fits great, soft and washes well.

I bought this shirt for my husband. He loves these shirts. I bought him one years ago and he continues to wear it and others. They hold up well and are a nice light layer that keeps him warm in cold weather. Comfortable style is nice to wear underneath another shirt, or on top of a t-shirt. They DO shrink the first time being washed, and after they are washed run small. He should wear a medium for this type of shirt, but I always order up a size or two, depending on the desired fit. These shirts are durable and versatile. Good indoors and out. Highly recommended.

These dual layer shirts are perfect as is for cool southern days or layered for hunting or outdoor winter activities. My wife and I bought 2 each and 4 others as Christmas gifts. Cozy warm when the thermostat is turned down. Get one now!
