My dad loved this over shirt. He is 92 and struggles w buttons so the snap closure was perfect. A nicer look with the collar plus has chest pocket!! Perfect for him and he loves the fit and extra warmth.

Perfect quality, and it looks great on! Runs very large, though! Size down one size.

It's warm and comfortable. The neck can be closed up. The jacket has pockets and is easy to open and close the front with snaps. Is good for inside and outside wear.

I purchased this "sweatshirt" because of the convenience of a snap closure. This garment is much more luxurious than I expected. A great "go to" jacket for cool, windy mornings.

Bought it for husband and he loves it. So soft and better than a sweater for watching TV on a cold evening.

I bought this for as a gift for my husband who is working in a cold home office, and it was a serious hit. He reports that it is very warm and is pleased with how it looks. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from a "quilted sweatshirt," but it is sharper looking than that description would suggest. One sizing note: tall is REALLY long. My husband is 6'1" with a long torso, and he really should have a regular rather than a tall. This has never happened before--I have to check garment measurements carefully on things like sweaters, because most run an inch or two shorter than he finds wearable.

I got this to wear around the house and it's perfect. It's cozy but not too heavy or hot for indoors. It's fairly long, which I like. I love LL Bean's tall sizes.

Fits perfectly and looks great with Jeans and a base layer Tee. It was on back order originally, but was definitely worth the wait.

Great experience. The products are great. Exchanges are a little old school but work fine

I just love this combination of a shirt-jac and a sweatshirt. Easy to slip on as an extra layer indoors or out, snap up or not. No one should have just one of these, and I will be buying at least one more.

I've worn wool Pendleton shirt-jac' s around the house in the winter for years. Sweaters would be OK but since they fuzz and ball up, I've worn wool shirt-jac' s instead. I've been looking for a light wool or cotton shirt-jac for the past couple of years. LL Bean has hit a home run with this quilted snap overshirt. I can't speak yet on how it will hold up with multiple washings, but so far I just love this snap overshirt. It is very cozy and toasty. In the dead of winter I will probably return to a wool shirt-jac. But for fall and spring this will be my go to shirt-jac. I usually don's write reviews, but I'm so pleased with this quilted snap over-shirt I wanted to let fellow Bean customers know what a winner this Item is. The full length snap product is the model I purchased. These run slightly large.

I bought the "Men's Quilted Sweatshirt, Snap Overshirt" around 2022. It's a great sweatercomfortable, roomy, and it looks good with just about everything. It's perfect for running errands or lounging around the house. The buttons are secure and don't easily unsnap.
That said, the one issue I've had with the sweater is the left chest pocket. As I mentioned, the snap buttons work really well, but after repeated use, the fabric around the button starts to weaken. Eventually, the cotton tears, and the button falls off. This happened to me after about two weeks of wear.
I could've returned the sweater, but time got away from me. Plus, I didn't want to waste an otherwise perfectly good jacket over a small hole in the pocket. I ended up keeping it, had the pocket sewn, and still wear it regularly.
Aside from that one issue, the jacket has held up and aged beautifully. I'd definitely recommend it again, though I'd suggest either reinforcing or replacing the buttonsor just avoiding heavy use of the front chest pockets.

Gave as a gift. My brother seemed to like it, but it was larger than expected and didn't fit well.

I wish they would make this for women because it's a bit big. I also wish LL Bean would stick with cotton. Everything is plastic.

Very nice, not the highest quality/durability Bean is known for. Very pricey for quality

great shirt jacket; good weight, fit, and comfort -- the only thing I would change is that the snaps can unsnap pretty easily

I really like this overshirt. A great, slightly dressier option to a hoodie. It has a full cut for layering. The side pockets are only for warming hands stuff falls out easily. Also, the designers might want to consider snap cuffs for the next iteration. Otherwise, it's great!
