My husband ordered this sweatshirt and, upon opening the package, we were both disappointed when we saw an LLBean emblem that stood out. It detracted from the overall look of the shirt. It looks like a name tag, and, worse, a small billboard. It is so unattractive. As a longtime LLBean customer, I have never seen anything that ruins their clothing like this emblem does. When I shop LLBean, and since they started adding this thing, I avoid purchasing any item with this emblem. My husband missed seeing this when he made the order. I do not know why LLBean started adding this to the clothing; it is overbearing and gaudy. As a contrast, the clothing that has LLBean embroidered on it in the same or complementary color as the item, and appropriately sized, looks very tasteful. Anyway, we are quick to return this item because of the emblem.

I really did not like this quilted sweatshirt. Overall, the material felt inexpensive and I ended up returning it. To add insult to injury, L.L. Bean gave me a merchandise credit instead of a refund to my original payment. Not sure I'm going to be purchasing anything from L.L. Bean anytime soon

Way too boxy. Great material and quality but not a slim fit.

My expectations were high for this quilted material sweatshirt but I was let down! The shirt was stiff and not nearly as soft as other products of this sort on the market. Needs to be much softer. Also, I wish they offered more clothes in a tapered/ athletic fit, fits too much like a box. Material and fit unfortunately made me send back.

I ordered this shirt and then found out it was on backorder. Two months later it finally arrived and was too small. When attempting to exchange I was informed that the navy color was discontinued for the season. Every single shirt I own is a medium and this was just too small.

Way too boxy of a fit. I got the antique gold in a large, and while I love the color, the waist is outrageously large. I have a 46ish inch chest and currently wear a 33" waist pant, the sweater fits well in the shoulders and neck, but I could fit my stomach in twice over. While wearing the sweatshirt, my profile looks like I've got a turtle shell... Even layering under doesn't look right, and I had hoped to wear this under some collared workshirts. Disappointing. I hope they make this in a better fit in the future .

I really like this sweatshirt. And I expected it to shrink some in the first wash. Didn't expect another significant shrink in the second wash. At this point the sleeves are too short and the neck is pretty snug. Maybe it will stetch back out, but not loving that detail.
Got a lot of compliments on the sweatshirt itself. Just not sure if I can keep wearing it out of the house now.

I loved except it covered me in lint even after 2 washes! Fit was perfect but the lint was awful, had to return it

Did not like the logo. Too much of a contrast with the body of the shirt & different from those pictured in the catalog. Returned.

Rips easily overtime. I love these sweaters but overtime had issues. Will continue to order but mind the washing and drying.

Terrible flaw for several years. All of the sweat shirts or pullovers lack elastic on the waist. Cold air goes right up chilling the user. Have sent back sweaters and multiple sweatshirts over the years thinking management would change the terrible design.

The sleeves were too long and the torso too tight in a medium. The merlot or burgundy color was dull. Didn't work for us.

Gift request from my son. Shirt style and comfort is great. Quality in bottom seams are poor. After 1st wash, white stuffing is coming thru. We will return and try a larger size to see if same issue occurs.

Paid $79 for shirt. When i got the package, the tag on the shirt said $64. Not cool. Its just a sweatshirt with quilted stitching. Zero puffy quilts, just flat.

For years, I have been able to count on my size, Medium Regular, being a great fit. However, this garment was way too long from shoulder to waistband and was not listed as a tall size.

The outer material is so thin that it is not durable at all. It is paper towel thin. It ripped and snagged easily, so now I have an overpriced grass cutting and painting sweatshirt. Please contact me about product warranty.

Do not like the label that LLBean now sews into their clothing. It's huge, ugly, and looks like a nametag or small billboard.

My husband really wanted this sweater for his birthday. I happily purchased it for him. It was my very first LL Bean purchase. I was so excited to give it to him, but the second he removed it from the packaging, I saw that it had a large white stain directly front and center on the sweater, rendering it entirely unwearable. I am returning the item and am extremely disappointed. I expected better from LL Bean,

I was happy to receive the sweater after it being on back order for over a month. The feel of the material was nice (soft, yet durable) and the color was as expected. The fit however was odd, the XL was tight in the shoulders and across the chest, long in the arms and baggy towards the bottom (image a bell shape). I really liked style and color of the sweater but in the end I was disappointed in the fit and had to return it.

I loved the two Men's Quilted Sweatshirt Mocknecks that I own so I ordered one of these Quilted Sweatshirt Crewnecks as soon as it became available. I received it today and it is such a disappointment. I have two Mocknecks in medium traditional fit and they fit pretty well - a little long for my liking, but I'm short so I live with it.
I ordered the medium traditional fit Crewneck and it is much tighter overall, but especially in the chest/shoulders. Could I have gained the Covid 19 pounds over the past several months, thus not being able to fit in medium? Possibly, but the Mocknecks still fit fine. I also noticed that the Mocknecks are made in Peru while the Crewnecks are made in Sri Lanka so it could be related to the different factories.
Very dissatisfied and I will be returning it.

We have bought from LL Bean for years. I have a variation on this shirt for women. Mine is a full zip sweat shirt, and I love it. It does have an LL Bean logo, but in a leather material (almost invisible in a navy blue sweatshirt), and down near the waistline.
When I saw this sweatshirt for men, I was so excited...until I saw the bright LL Bean logo on the chest. My husband would have loved this...but NOT with the logo.
LLBean, you are ruining some of your most attractive garments! Sadly, because NOW what do I buy for him???
Just my opinion.
