I love these shirts. One issue: the small barely fits me, and the medium is too big. I like it when my clothes fit well. Not tight, but trim. This will be a little tight for now. During the warmer months in Minnesota, I lose a little belly fat, and it will fit perfect. Anyway, these flannels are soft, and pretty substantial- not lightweight. It's the perfect button down, outdoor loungewear that looks decent enough for public events where it matters. For reference, I'm 5"9', 180 lbs, athletic build.

My chest is 41 in which means that LL Bean excluded my chest size in their size charts. I requested a large tall (it was a gift) because that's the size shirt that fits me from most companies. This shirt must be designed for a very full torso and girth arms cause it's enormous and baggy in every direction. I feel mislead by the sizing chart and the "slightly fitted" description. I rarely wear the shirt because it's a tent on me which is too bad because it's very comfortable, warm and the material looks nice. I (nearly 40 years old) look like a kid wearing his dad's clothes in this thing. This shirt is cut so generous, I'll confidently order a medium tall next time.

Great materials and overall look. I'm 5'11" 180lbs athletic build bought a large and the slightly fitted fit was still to baggy. I looked at the recommended size based off my measurements and was a large on paper but again, fit was still too big. Anyone looking at medium vs large and should probably size down if they like a more fitted look.

This was a holiday gift for my 80-something father (it was on his list!), so his choice of something so bold surprised me! (In a good way). What surprised me more was that LLB had things this sort of bold and more stylish! He loves it..as does his wife (my mom!) If I had one quibble? It seemed a litttttttle pricey for a flannel shirt!

This is a great shirt!! However, there's nothing fitted about it. It's a thick flannel, very high quality shirt that I wear like a regular shirt untucked, as well as an shirt jacket over lighter shirts. Bear in mind, I'm a true size large, but I bought an XL.

Really good quality shirt. Very comfortable. Not to long, so looks good untucked. However, it is NOT slightly fitted. I would recommend ordering a size smaller than you normally wear.

I buy a cotton shirt from Bean's about once every 2 or 3 years. The last time in about 2018, the ItemID was 285286. This time (2021) the ItemID was 508923. The 2018 shirt fit perfectly. The 2021 shirt had sleeves that were a full 2 inches shorter, and the shortcoming was immediately obvious. The reason to search for a Large-Tall shirt is to get sleeves that are long enough, but these were not. The body of the shirt was also an inch shorter, but that is of no consequence. I did not even notice it until the sleeves prompted me to measure it. Otherwise, the fabric was wonderfully soft. I would recommend it in Regular sizes, but not in Tall.

It's ok. Very fitted. The fabric is a bit fuzzy. Started to pill after washed and line dried.

Regarding this Organic Flannel shirt, the fabric is an excellent medium weight, of the softest fabric hand/feel. I had originally ordered a large, but when it arrived, it fit great all over save my midsection, guessing to the slightly fitted billing. I returned the shirt to your King of Prussia, Pa. store and ordered the same color shirt in XL. When it arrived, I again tried it on, only to see that it was quite full in the midsection. As if it was not slightly fitted. As I do love the quality, color and weight of this shirt, I will be keeping it. If LL Bean had offered it in slightly fitted and traditional sizing, the traditional fit large size would have worked perfectly for my 65+, 210 shape. The XL could almost be classed as an XXL, as there is that much extra fabric in the midsection. I'm a life-long LL Bean customer as is my entire Family. Thanks for always providing the best outdoor products of the highest quality.

These are some of the best shirts I own. I have several, and plan on buying more to add to my collection. They work great for going out, and just hanging around the house. The fabric is ridiculously soft, and for me, the slightly fitted cut is perfect.

This nice & soft flannel organic shirt, size large tall, slightly fitted, is very soft...with a good fit...color is exactly as shown also...medium weight for Spring or Fall. They'll see you a mile away, it's a true Bean classic!

I love these shirts, but the Gray Heather (medium tall) has way shorter sleeves than the Blue Or "Night" (medium tall). The blue one is fantastic. I would buy more of them if the sleeves were the same length as the one I got in this order. The Gray Heather is on the verge of going back. I think it has ordinary medium sleeves on it rather than tall. Maybe its just that my arms are too long. Its always been kind of hit or miss with medium tall flannel shirts. Only way I could get long enough sleeves for sure was in the Oxford Shirts where you could order the correct sleeve length and neck size, but those weren't flannel, and I think they may be gone from Bean's by now. Still, for normal people, this is softest heaviest flannel you can get. Buy all you can. This is the best flannel they have going at the moment.

The Organic Flannel Shirt is comfortable, warm, and high quality. Be forewarned that the sizing is HUGE. I'm a big boy (6'2", 240 lbs) and the XL (my usual size) was way too big. I downsized to the Large, which itself is a very relaxed fit. I think a Medium would actually fit me. Nice shirt; the sizing just runs large.

I have lots of bean flannels, but this one is really nice. The cut is slim but not restricting in the least. I love the front pockets with the button flaps, and the stitching seems really well done. It's definitely heavier than the scotch plaid flannels, so thats a huge plus on the colder days... Made in China, so deduct one star..

I purchased this shirt in the red ochre color, l like my flannel shirts to stand out a bit and have as much "style" as you can get from a flannel shirt. The red ochre color did not disappoint, it is colorful and unique while having a rich fall vibe. I have gotten more compliments on this shirt than I could have imagined. I purchased a size medium because in my opinion, LL Bean flannels run a a bit bigger than some of the other, cheaper flannels. I am 6ft. 180 pounds, and this shirt in a medium was just a bit loose fitting and hung off my shoulders (I have slightly narrower shoulders) just a bit more than I like. I like my shirts to have a fitted look, excess material and hanging off my shoulders is not my favorite. If you like your flannels to have a bit of room, this shirt would be perfect. For me, the "slightly fitted" description was not accurate, l debated if I should send it back but the color was so great I decided to keep it, l am glad I did, l wear it a lot.

Bought the black and white one for my husband first -- so soft and warm, the best! Followed it with the teal color (twilight?) and it is just a regular flannel shirt feel.

I really like the shirt and the organic cotton material, but the sleeves are too short. I am tall and thin and generally wear medium sized shirts, but the sleeves on this medium barely make it to my wrists prior to a first wash. I'd love to see LL Bean offer an organic cotton option with a cut similar to some of their other shirts, which do work for my build.
