We have been buying from LL Bean for many many years and I've always bragged about how wonderful the quality is ! Unfortunately, this shirt was a huge disappointment- The texture was like cardbord ! Sorry LLBean you got this one wrong .

Too big for an extra large . Sleeves and body too liong.

The sleeves were way too long. I'm 6' tall 170 lbs and have been wearing a size large forever. My finger tips were the only thing that wasn't covered by the sleeves. Had to return the shirt and get a refund.

We can't get the wrinkles out of it and the collar doesn't lay flat. We tried washing it twice, and steaming it too. No luck. The fabric also is more loosely woven than previous chamois shirts. It's soft and warm as expected.

agree with 1 star review about pilling, 68 years old have owned these shirts over the past 40 years, quality is substandard, might be the last one i will own

Fabric pills badly. Not comparable to chamois shirts purchased over the last 30+ years.

This was a Christmas gift for my husband. He has worn it twice. The first time it washed, it came out of the dryer a mass of wrinkles and badly pilled. I ironed it so it looked decent for him to wear again. Same thing after second washing except collar was twisted as well and even more pilling. Not even close to the chamois shirts I ordered for him many years ago. Will not order any more of them.

The sleeves are about 2 inches too short. My normal sleeve length is 34.

Not a true fit - both returned. Too small/too big.

Unfortunately I never received this shirt. Ordered as a gift for Christmas, when the box arrived it had someone else's items in it and when I tried to get this item I had ordered, it was back ordered until March. All I was offered was a $20 gift card and had to spend an hour on the phone.

Chaos at LL Bean fulfillment pre-Christmas -- gift item never sent, wrong item sent and had to be returned, chosen item now backordered to June 2024. Had to get credit and order a new gift. Hope this first experience is not typical.

Wrinkles terribly in washer dryer. previously purchased shirt did not do this. Have washed 3 times with same results. Even tried to iron.

Disappointed in fabric, not suitable for winter wear (as advertised). Will be returning.

I ordered a Large but received notice when it was shipped it was a Double extra large. Too late to cancel and had to pay to return.

the old chamois shirts used to be much heavier, instead these are so thin you'd wear them to the office but not out in the snow.

Material quality very good. Gift was for an elderly person fine movement issues due to medical condition. Unable to button & unbutton. Needs snaps. hat is why the low rating.

So frustrating. I purchased two of these - one in gray, on in wine and both are enormous compared to the same one I purchased last year. On top of that, the gray has sleeves that are 2" longer than the wine.

Didn't get the correct color or style. I received a plaid zippered jacket not a red shirt.

Cannot give more. Horrible decisions to stop the dark loden green we depend on Bean to stay the same. Loathe the new colors and changes to old trusty friends like dark green (not plaid!!!)

Just washed this shirt for the first time and it shrunk a whole size. what I bought to wear as a light weight loose coat is now a snug shirt. Check label for any special washing instructions but there were none.

I bought 2 Chamois shirts, one blue and one grey. I tried on the blue one and it fit good but it was too long in the back. I took both shirts to the tailor shop and had them shortened. I did not try on the grey one (my bad) as it said Medium just like the blue one. Upon returning home I put the blue one on and it fit prefect. It wasn't until a couple of days later that I put on the grey on, and holly smokes it wasn't any wear close to the blue one's fit. After measuring the grey one to the blue one, I found it was 1 1/2 inches larger across the back and 1 1/2 inches longer in the sleeves. I can't return the grey one as I have shortened it. My bad for trusting LLbean's labels. Off to Good Will with a $70 shirt and $20 tailor cost. MY BAD for trust.

The shirt was great until I washed it. It looks and feels like a rag after the first wash and very disappointed.

Recently I purchased 2 Chamois shirts; 1 Navy and 1 Charcoal Grey Heather. The navy is fine and the quality is similar to chamois shirts I have purchased in the past. I am very disappointed in the fabric of the Charcoal Grey Heather though. As other customers have pointed out, it pills and looks awful after washing.

Totally dissatisfied with the LL Bean sizing. For years I have purchased your chamois shirts in the Large-Regular size. I love them!! This shirt, Large-Regular is big enough to put two men into it. No, I don't want to return in. The hassle isn't worth it. I also ordered, and received, on Medium-Regular chamois shirt. It is perfect. Very dissappointed.
