I received the spruce plaid chamois for Christmas in 2015 and returned it without hassle for another due to a hole in the right sleeve after about a dozen times wearing it. The new one I received now has a hole in the same sleeve after about the same amount of wear and washes. The left sleeve at the elbow is also very thin. I have several older Bean chamois shirts that do not have this problem. This one is going back , but I'm not getting the plaid this time. Hopefully the new solid ones are better. After a few washes the material just doesn't feel like the older versions of this shirt. Although my experience with this shirt is not good, the customer service at LL Bean is excellent and I will keep coming back.

I ordered a size xxl and it was huge! Way too big. I exchanged for an xl and it was far too tight. Returned for refund. Beware of goofy sizing as is typical for many imported products, but if it fits, it is a pretty good product.

XXLT is gigantic and I am 6'1" 260. Size charts listed online are not appropriate for this shirt. Expect to exchange shirt several times to determine size. Frustration!

Shrunk up 2 sizes after first wash. Worn these shirts for years, but new ones are not the same quality.

Much too long husband 6 feet came 1/2 down to his knees

This would have been my third Chamois Shirt, Traditional Fit in a Regular Small, but it was comically too long. So much so that I checked the label to make sure it was not a Tall. I then thought maybe it was mislabeled and I should try an exchange, but I looked more closely at the pictures. Compare the sleeves to shirt length to other shirts on the website and it is clearly much longer. This was obviously a running change in recent years but the shirt just does not work now if you are on the shorter side. I really don't see this fitting anyone under 6 foot, but hey, if you want to look like a kid in his Dad's shirt, go for it.

My husband loves this soft brown purple shirt. Fits him just right.

Sleeves are 2 3/4" shorter than stated. Perhaps this is an XL that has been mislabelled as XL Tall. Sadly, sold out and unable to get the correct size.

Men's Chamois shirt. I've bought 10-15 shirts from LLBean over the years all the same size (men's small) and this the only one that fits like a medium instead of a small. First time I've ever been disappointed in an item from LLB.

Give me a break! Recent purchase of Scotch plaid flannels were very thin and pilling. Decided to order chamois shirt and it arrived worn and not in new condition

Very thin, looked nothing like the pictures. XL sizing felt more like XXL. Way too loose and arms are super baggy. I don't want to wash and shrink a shirt on purpose to have it fit. Comparing this to my EddieB Chamois that is the same price and it's so thin and not heavyweight like you would expect a chamois to be. I returned it immediately. Very disappointing.

You offer 10 dollars off after i spend 300 dollars. You should have done that at check out.

L L Bean no longer manufactures size "Tall". I've just received 2 of these shirts from my wife, but just like their "Polo's" the "Tall" just doesn't exist. For reference, I am 6ft 2in and weight 200. I buy a large Tall elsewhere and they fit great. I bought Bean size Large Tall years ago, (still have some) and they fit great, but not anymore!

This shirt was the worst shirt I've ever bought! The right sleeve was 3/4" shorter than the left and one chest pocket was 1" higher than the other! Sounds unbelievable for an expensive shirt from LLBean doesn't it!

I have 3 Bean chamois shirts. They have been go-to's mostly due to the fabric's plushness ; soft feel and heavy, just right for cool and cold weather. I went to local LL Bean store yesterday expecting to purchase a different color (deep brown) to be worn with same satisfaction as my previous shirts. The website said the color was in-store, but it was not. Ok, mistakes occur. I did look at the other colors, however, only to be quite disappointed . These shirts are NOT THE SAME as your previous Bean champois's. The fabric is both thinner and coarse to the feel. Will not order on line, which I would have done had I not seen thses shirts in-person. I have seen reviews with similar comments. I hope you will take these observations seriously and get back to the quality that gave you success.

I own this shirt in navy and my husband owns it in red. They are such good quality I bought it in maroon and gray. The maroon shirt matches the great quality of my navy and red but the gray one is AWFUL! It feels cheap and is pilling. I am sending it back.

I ordered this shirt with embroidering twice, and both times it came back with a white stain on the letters. The second time I returned the shirt L.L. Bean told me I could try ordering the shirt without embroidering and see if it still comes with a stain?

After waiting 2 months for a shirt, this website now says it was delivered 28 minutes ago. I can tell you that it was definitely NOT delivered!

I've had this shirt for two years now. Photo shows my much-loved shirt (same item ID#) on the left (that completely I wore out) and the newer version on the right. Other reviews mention this pilling problem and I wanted to agree. Very disappointing! Product developers: please return to the previous material you seemed to use for years. Smaller point, also for your product developers: the cuffs on my newer shirt are rather tight, preventing this from functioning as a "shirt jacket" like my old one did wonderfully for so many years. A touch more room might solve this for many customers without ruining it for non-shirt jacket usages.

Much too roomy. Except to return it. Wonder why newer chamois shirts are do not iron. Still come out of dryer wrinkled.

My order was split for 2 different colors of the same shirt and I still don't have the second one

Returned because it was MUCH too large and I ordered the size my husband wears in other LL Bean clothes. LLBean please move your manufacturing back to the USA.

I bought this shirt in nov 2023; wore it two or three times since purchase and the right hand cuff is already fraying! Disappointed and surprised as I don't expect this from ll bean products. Worse the timeframe is just past the one year return period.
