Ordered Large...came, although labeled L, believe
it was actually XL; came way off the shoulders and sleeves way over my hands. Returned and ordered M..came, fits better and although labeled M, believe it was ML, as in LONG..as it came way low just above the knees.
Love the design and the materal, but the labels
are a mess. I'm taking it to a tailor to see if
it can be shortened; if not will return again.

The color and material of this shirt were good, however the sleeves and shirttail were extremely long requiring tailor alterations.

I have been wearing LLB chamois shirts for years and have never been disappointed. Until recently! I am now aware, and verified by Customer Service, that the sizing has changed. The shirts have the same size body but the sleeves are now way to long. Kind of an XLG sleeve on a LG body! Customer Service claims the new sizing is to allow the garment to be worn as an over-shirt. I did not order an over-shirt and the catalog did not explain this CHANGE well. I will now take the ride to South Windsor, CT and hopefully make an even exchange. Trying each shirt on before checking out is now a must.

I purchased this chamois shirt for the husband for Christmas, because he loved the one I purchased a few years ago for him. Unfortunately the new shirt is not the same quality as his old shirt.......Third washing and it's all pilled, and looks horrible! Do better LL Bean!

The cut is exactly as it has been over the decades. The material has changed. It is softer when new, but it does not hold its shape as well. These work shirts used to last years before they became threadbare. Not so now. It's threadbare after two years of use. It's not fashion, it's a work shirt. As a work shirt it is probably the best year round. But the durability of the flannel is quite poor.

I have a 20+ year-old bean chamois shirt that is now called the 1933, it's outlasting this new model - which is really just a thicker version of the current flannel shirt
- that I bought two years ago.

I ordered a medium sized, rergular shirt. When I put it on for the first time it was immediately evident that the size was other than normal as the sleeves not only felt much longer but when measured and against my otther Chamois shirts are 1 1/2in. longer. Shoulder width is also 1 1/2in. greater.

I've been buying these shirts for years. This year the fabric has changed. Not as heavy and not nearly as soft. A big disappointment. Used to be my favorite shirt. Will not buy again.

I'd purchased a couple classic LL Bean chamois shirts previously that I'd loved and pretty well wore out. I wanted to replace my grey one and bought this shirt. I am disappointed. Two things. Even though I purchased same size, the sleeves are short by an inch. And the fabric is crappy. it does not hold its shape, is lightweight, and stays wrinkled. It's pretty much a different and lesser product.

I have purchased LLBean chamois shirts for almost 60 years. All previous shirts machine washed and dried completely wrinkle free. This latest chamois shirt came out of the drier with sleeves so badly wrinkled that ironing was necessary. The body of the shirt was however wrinkle free out of the drier.

Bought the Navy and Wine colors of this shirt. Both shirts fit perfect before washing. After several washings and hang drying these shirts the sleeves were so short I don't wear them any longer. Will be donating these and wouldn't buy again.

I am a life long customer of LLBean. My Dad grew up in Brunswick and we would visit Beans in the old upper loft location every chance we got. I still have my gum boots which I purchased more than 40 years ago. I had sent them in to be regummed and they are as good as new. I have over the years purchased about 10 different chamois shirts for my husband. For this Christmas, I bought him another one. He wanted me to wash it before he wore it to "soften" it a bit. I washed it and the outcome was just so bad. It seemed to have shriveled up. I can only assume that this fabric is different and I am very disappointed because it is "garbage" fabric. I am going to wash it one more time to see if it changes. I may have to call for a return if I am not pleased with the outcome.

I've had several of these chamois shirts in XL Reg for years but can't replace them. I've tried to purchase new ones several times but the sleeves are now 3 inches longer in the same size and fit. Now I know why the catalog model wears this shirt with the sleeves rolled up.

If I wash this shirt it will shrink to not be able to wear it. Expensive and not true to size.

I have been buying the chamois shirt for 20 years for my husband. Always loved how looked. Laundered really well and last a long time. The one I bought him last Christmas was really wrinkled, even tried ironing it and the wrinkles would not come out. Was so disappointed. Thought about trying again this year, but afraid the quality will be the same as last year.

I've been happy with many chamois shirts. Recently, however, they lowered the second button,
now 3.5" between it and the collar button vs 1.25" before, so that my now undershirt shows. Not happy!

When these heavyweight Chamois flannel shirts came out, I first bought 2 in solid colors. They started out a little stiff, and I figured they'd soften up with a few washings. Unfortunately, they did not. So I'd recommend paying a few bucks more for the plaid Chamois shirts, which are made from the same pattern as the solid ones but not the same fabric. I have 6 or 7 of the plaid shirts and they start out softer than the solids, and only get more comfortable with each washing.

Fantastic and thick fabric. Horrific sizing. The sleeves are super wide in the arms and the overall shirt length is extremely long. I bought a small. My typical size is a medium (38-40 chest; 15-15.5in neck; 32-33in sleeve; overall length 26-28 in). This shirt is longer by approximately 3-4in.

I have been buying your Chamois Shirts for five years now. I just received my last one today. It feels tighter than the ones I have. I have been buying an XL shirt for years. All fit fine to me because I like to layer a few shirts on underneath. I can't say that I can do it with the lastest one I have purchased. Not much freedom of movement. I am little surprised about that. I tried on one I have purchased last year and there is a significant difference in the roominess. What is going? I noticed the tag that it is now Made in Sri Lanka. Why are you raising prices while finding a country in Asia to have them made? They were perfect when made in El Salvadore. I am a little disappointed. Is the quality control gone down? I'm sorry to sound so harsh but I love your shirts. Now if I were to write a review a year ago, this chamois shirt would have received five stars. I hope I can do that again in the future.

My husband has worn your chamois shirts for years. However, we do not care for the fabric that is in this shirt. It is not as smooth as the previous shirt we purchased and it catches lint when laundered. I would have returned it, but I laundered it before I realized the difference.
