The shirts are comfortable but there are no place for a ink pen

I normally wear an XL but for this shirt XL was a tent! I changed for a Lrg, and it was also huge. Finally took a refund rather than try again. Your sizing needs to be more accurate

5'8" and 160 lb. I bought a size medium. The sleeves are about 2 inches too long. Shirt length is about 3 inches too long. Shoulders fit fine. I unfortunately have to return it. Fabric is thick and soft. Quality is great.

I really like these chamois shirts from LLBean. However, they are not made like they used to be. The shirt I bought last year looks now about 10 years old, with small balls all over the outside surface of the fabric - and patches look a bit threadbare here and there. And the fabric is not as heavy as it used to be. I basically like the shirt, the design, the warmth, the feel of the fabric, but the shirt is not made like it used to be. The fabric is not as heavy, it balls quickly (and if you look carefully is a little threadbare in spots), and the shirt looks really old after a few washings. The chamois shirt I have from about 15 years ago, on the other hand, still looks really good, almost new. Strange. The difference must be LLBean are at least in this instance using a lesser quality fabric. LLBean for many is something like a institution. Used to be buying here meant you'd get a quality item that would last for years. It's not always that way now.

This shirt a little tight in the waist despite what catalog description states. It should be labeled slightly fitted.

Size is great, color is wonderful, quality has gone down hill with the thickness of the material, definitely still a nice shirt but lacking with quality for the price.

The quality of the shirt is excellent. The sizing is way off. I'm 6'2" and 210lbs and the large-tall looked like I was wearing a nightgown. I'm going to return for a medium-regular and hope that does the trick. I really want to like the shirt. It will be a great fall/winter shirt.

I own several of these shirts and they are by far my favorite flannels. The more you wear them and wash them the softer they get. Except for the solid grey one I ordered recently. The material is extremely stiff, even after several washings and it wrinkles like crazy. They tell you not to iron, so you either wear it looking like you slept in it, or don't wear it. I don't know if this was a fluke or if all of the solids are like this. This one may get turned into rag for washing the Jeep.

Not the same shirt I purchased a few years ago. The quality has gone down. Shame.

My husband loves these shirts! The dark blue one washed up very nicely, but unfortunately the grey one was not folded correctly when packaged and was very wrinkled. Washing on cold water and drying on low heat did not help, so I tried ironing it with steam. Better, but still a bit wrinkled. Will try washing again and see if things improve.

The shirt is very good quality and a is a nice color. The tall length was perfect for our 6' 2" son. However, it is at least a size larger than what the tag says and you have to pay to return the shirt (plan to add about $10 to this purchase).

Shipping was pretty slow. Quality of shirt was excellent, but shirt was too big, have returned for a smaller size. Have been waiting for quite a while.

I washed the shirt as instructed and dryed it on low heat but it is still stiff and wrinkled. It's not worth the price.

I have worn many LL Bean Chamois shirts. They are a favorite. I would have given them five stars. They are no longer the same. Fit is way off. I always wore medium. Now too big. And small is too small. And the fabric is different too. It doesn't developmthat chamois feel after washing.

Wanted to love this shirt as I've had one before, but after washing it was in need of ironing.

All my flannels are size large/regular, so that's what I ordered for this shirt. While it fits my shoulders, it is so oversized in the body, and long in the sleeves I must return it. As is it would probably work if I tucked my shirts in, but I almost never do that. Maybe with washing it would shrink some in the sleeves as well, I don't know. I bought my wife a flannel shirt with this one, and hers fits true to size.

I gave this to my husband for Christmas in his usual size Medium. His chest measures 40" which, according to the size chart, is the right size for him. It is HUGE! I mean, he was swimming in it huge. Perhaps this particular shirt was incorrectly tagged? I checked with LLBean for the actual chest measurement .... 48.5"! I'm not sure how other's can say it's a good fit. Sadly, this shirt is already on its way back to LLBean. I wish the actual measurements were included in the descriptions.

The price is exorbitant. And LL Bean quality has gone downhill in the past 10 years. I can buy a shirt of the same quality for less than half the price elsewhere. I will never buy from LL Bean again.

The shirt is great! It is warm and comfortable, but, WARNING, order 1 size larger than you need as it will shrink 1 full size when washed. I bought 3 of these shirts in a medium that fit well but, after washing they were too small. Subsequently I bought 3 shirts in Large, washed them and they fit perfectly as a medium.

I loved this shirt. It was warm and soft and slightly too big so that it made a nice overshirt. I followed instructions on the care tag (cold wash, low heat tumble dry) and when I put it on again, it was about 3 and a half inches shorter in the sleeves and an inch shorter in the body. Needless to say, it's no longer wearable. Such a disappointment as this was one of my favorite shirts. I'd hand washed and hung dry the first few washes just to ensure that it wouldn't shrink. And yet, here we are. Had hoped for better from LL Bean since they're known for their quality.

Be careful, if you expect the same as previous chamois shirt it was 9 oz material. This year they say it is 7 1/2 oz material.

The shirt is cut and sewn well and is made what appears to be quality material. However, I have not worn and washed it long enough to know whether it will stand up like the old Bean shirts did. LL Bean used to make their clothing in America, but this is made overseas and doesn't merit more than 3 stars.

Quality of the item is very good. Wears well. However, purchased for a 6'5" individual weighing 190 lbs, the Large tall size was still short in the sleeves and too big around. Trying the "fitted" style, it is too tight. Going down to a medium tall, it is very short in the sleeves and length.

Had to return it because it was too large. I probably should have paid more careful attention to the very good size charts. The first one I ordered was a slim cut but the medium was a bit too slim. When I went to reorder they were out in the color and size I wanted so I switched to this regular cut in the right color but ordered a large that was a bit too large. The shirt is great and I highly recommend paying careful attention to the size when ordering. Good news is returns and exchanges are easy and fast!!!!

While the shirt appeared to be of high quality, the size was off. I ordered a medium for a man who wears medium in all other shirts but it's too big. Now not sure that the small is going to be a fit either.
