The DAY I got this shirt I put it on. It is so cozzy and warm. I wore it EVERY day. Washed as it got dirty, sometimes everyday wash and sometimes once a week was good. This is my when I'm going out to play( retired farmer disabled from arthritise and gov BS.) means headed for the garden/greenhouse.
After 1 year almost to the day, 365 wears and how many washes i'm not sure but it wore out the elbows. Put it on one day and oops, rite through the elbow, now I have a nice SHORT sleeve shirt. Still wear it just on warmer days now.
How some on here say they have these shirts that are years old,,, must be a closet shirt and not worn much. DIG IT OUT AND WEAR IT...

I bought several of these for my husband and then two for my dad. He is 82 and is often cold.
These shirts are very well made and the material is substantial and not flimsy. They wash well and I put them in the dryer for a short time and then hang to dry. You may choose to iron, I do not!! The quality is what you would expect from llBean

Hello,
This is the second shirt that we bought in this style, the first being plaid. My husband loved the plaid so much that I ordered him the plain. Well, it is too big, however, I threw all the packaging away and have no clue how to go about exchanging it. Can someone help me?
Thanks,
Martie

Purchased for my son. He has had several in the past but they needed to be replaced. He farmed and worked outside a good deal and liked these shirts when worn alone or over a Tee if another layer was needed. They held up well and washed and dried well. Highly recommend.

I have owned 3 of these shirts for more than 30 years and I am still wearing them! Unbelievable value. The shirts are more comfortable as the years pass and I expect my son will inherit someday....until then, I will look forward to fall and winter with these shirts.

Just gave my husband his third chamois shirt for his birthday this year. These shirts are warm, soft, comfortable, and durable. They wash and dry easily and hardly show signs of wear.

Was afraid of shrinkage since showed 100% cotton, washed "cool water" and there was no noticeable shrinkage at all. Very soft, fits well.

I was able to wear this shirt right out of the bag. It is the warmest, softest, most comfortable chamois shirt I have ever owned (and I've owned a few). It fits perfectly, looks great, and doesn't ride up. I would highly recommend this shirt to anyone who wants warm comfort.

I buy these shirts (I have several) in large tall so the sleeves will be long enough but the tails are much too long for me. Too bad there is not a size that just has the longer sleeves.

LL Bean's Chamois Shirts are the best I have found. The only difficulty is that they are quite expensive and rarely seem to go on sale -- perhaps because Maine has such long winters.

Great looking thick flannel with strong stitching and pockets.
The only thing negative is that the collar needs ironing occasionally to flatten it.
I keep coming back for more even after trying Bauer and others!

Been wearing these for years and I've noticed that the sizes seem to vary ... this year's medium is a bit larger than last year's model. Still the best cold-weather shirt available.

He refuses all heather tees, but loved the appearance of heather gray in this shirt. You have spoiled him with tapered corners on the pocket flaps and a small opening in the top of the flap in the seam for his pen on other shirts. If you work where the heat is kept warmer , this shirt will roast you.
In a cool home or for shoveling snow or walking outdoors, it is a treasure. His first chamois shirt was never worn because his laboratory at work was kept too warm. Now retired he has ordered another and will enjoy both.

THIS IS MY SECOND ONE OF THESE SHIRTS. THE FIT IS SPOT ON AND THE SHIRT IS VERY COMFORTABLE AND WARM. CAN BE WORN IN OR OUT NO PROBLEM. ALSO GREAT AS A MEDIUM WEIGHT OVER SHIRT.

This is the second of these shirts I've bought. The first one got a rip across the back, and even though it's been sewed up, and is perfectly wearable for around the house, I wanted an undamaged one for going out and about. The sleeve length is fine (I generally take a 35-36" sleeve), and there's plenty of material to tuck in. It hasn't shrunk in the wash, and like the title says, it's warm and comfortable, and one of my favorite cold weather shirts.

My daughter this chamois shirt to my husband in blue. Almost every day, he would put it on no matter what he was wearing under it. When I told him it didn't match with a few of his long-sleeve shirts, he'd insist that it did. That's when I decided that if he loved the shirt so much - which he does, I'd have to start expanding his wardrobe of L. L. Bean chamois shirts. The green was this year's color, at least so far!

I have a chamois shirt that is probably 30 years old. I like to think of it a very comfy. My wife says it's worn out. Ok, maybe it is getting a bit thread bare (but still warm & comfy) Wife says go online and order 2 more. Don't have to twist my arm. I guess I can finally retire my old chamois shirt now. If you don't own one yet, treat yourself to a real pleasure. These are super comfortable, warm & durable and they last almost forever!
