Was afraid of shrinkage since showed 100% cotton, washed "cool water" and there was no noticeable shrinkage at all. Very soft, fits well.

I was able to wear this shirt right out of the bag. It is the warmest, softest, most comfortable chamois shirt I have ever owned (and I've owned a few). It fits perfectly, looks great, and doesn't ride up. I would highly recommend this shirt to anyone who wants warm comfort.

I buy these shirts (I have several) in large tall so the sleeves will be long enough but the tails are much too long for me. Too bad there is not a size that just has the longer sleeves.

Have been buying Chamois shirts from LL Bean for 45 years and have not been disappointed in the quality or comfort.
Out last any other shirt I have tried.

LL Bean's Chamois Shirts are the best I have found. The only difficulty is that they are quite expensive and rarely seem to go on sale -- perhaps because Maine has such long winters.

Great looking thick flannel with strong stitching and pockets.
The only thing negative is that the collar needs ironing occasionally to flatten it.
I keep coming back for more even after trying Bauer and others!

Been wearing these for years and I've noticed that the sizes seem to vary ... this year's medium is a bit larger than last year's model. Still the best cold-weather shirt available.

He refuses all heather tees, but loved the appearance of heather gray in this shirt. You have spoiled him with tapered corners on the pocket flaps and a small opening in the top of the flap in the seam for his pen on other shirts. If you work where the heat is kept warmer , this shirt will roast you.
In a cool home or for shoveling snow or walking outdoors, it is a treasure. His first chamois shirt was never worn because his laboratory at work was kept too warm. Now retired he has ordered another and will enjoy both.

This shirt comes in great colors, is not too heavy, and has not shrunk. My husband has 5 of them and loves them!

THIS IS MY SECOND ONE OF THESE SHIRTS. THE FIT IS SPOT ON AND THE SHIRT IS VERY COMFORTABLE AND WARM. CAN BE WORN IN OR OUT NO PROBLEM. ALSO GREAT AS A MEDIUM WEIGHT OVER SHIRT.

This is the second of these shirts I've bought. The first one got a rip across the back, and even though it's been sewed up, and is perfectly wearable for around the house, I wanted an undamaged one for going out and about. The sleeve length is fine (I generally take a 35-36" sleeve), and there's plenty of material to tuck in. It hasn't shrunk in the wash, and like the title says, it's warm and comfortable, and one of my favorite cold weather shirts.

My daughter this chamois shirt to my husband in blue. Almost every day, he would put it on no matter what he was wearing under it. When I told him it didn't match with a few of his long-sleeve shirts, he'd insist that it did. That's when I decided that if he loved the shirt so much - which he does, I'd have to start expanding his wardrobe of L. L. Bean chamois shirts. The green was this year's color, at least so far!

I have a chamois shirt that is probably 30 years old. I like to think of it a very comfy. My wife says it's worn out. Ok, maybe it is getting a bit thread bare (but still warm & comfy) Wife says go online and order 2 more. Don't have to twist my arm. I guess I can finally retire my old chamois shirt now. If you don't own one yet, treat yourself to a real pleasure. These are super comfortable, warm & durable and they last almost forever!

Very good quality. Washes well, but with a little shrinkage. My husband purchased four, and loves the way they wear.

My husband opened this present on Christmas day but did not say a word. He just got up and put the shirt on as a jacket. He wore it to work that way every day for the next few weeks. So I quietly ordered him three more exactly like it in different colors. When they arrived, he just glowed with happiness and I finally got my thank you.
Now his secretary knows that he has more than one shirt jacket.
I heard him tell a friend that the quality was great, the shirt was very comfortable, and the weight was perfect as an over shirt when you go into air conditioning here in the south.
Thanks L.L.Bean

I love the chamois shirts and continue to order them. Of course, LL Bean's customer service policy stands strong the one time I had a problem with my shirt and they replaced it.
I will add a few more to my collection soon as they have become one of my favorite shirts to wear during cooler months.

I have been buying these shirts for my husband for some time now, and recently introduced my grandson to the chamois flannel shirt. He thought they were wonderful, warm and heavy enough to wear as a light jacket on warmer fall days!
They wash well, dry well needing no ironing, and the colors are very nice too!

I own 4 of these shirts now and they are the perfect shirt for working in the shop on colder nights. The chamois texture is quite comfortable and for a 150lb 5'10 guy, the fit in a small allows room for movement but the shirt still remains stylish for nights out. I'm also very impressed with LLBean's production quality and customer service - there's never been a hiccup!

Longtime Bean customer. I'm 6'2" 175 lbs, shirt 15 1/2 x 35, suit 42 L. Pretty much always wear a Regular Large. Bean Tall is too long for me. -- OK, I got the Chamois shirt for Xmas. Absolutely great shirt, heavyweight, softer than real chamois. BUT I got a Regular Large and it was huge, really broad and long. I exchanged it for a Regular Medium and it fits great -- still large enough to wear as an over-shirt, which was part of my intent -- sleeve length fine, everything good. Became a Favorite Shirt immediately. Excellent quality, well worth the hassle.

Hi first were the shirts in the 1970s, but they were bulky and hard to tuck in. I spoke with a representative about the dimensions between large and medium/ regular and tall. I'm 6-2 & 185. I took a chance!... I ordered 3 shirts in medium- tall. They fit as though they are tailored, and tuck in easily. And, they are warmer than they used to be!...Am very happy!
